There is only one McD's in the Night Bazaar area off Loi Kroh Rd and across from the new Burger King. The other McD's in CM I am aware of is inside the Carrefour shopping complex off the SuperHwy.
The massage place I think Oosik1 is referring to is or is next to the Thristy Beaver. I've ridden by many times but have never had an interest.

There is one across the Imperial Mae Ping and one under the Chinese hotel Duangtawan. Which is the very same business, but inflated prices. Had a friend stay there in Sept for 2 weeks. No prob for him to bring back a different girl most nights.
If this place gets any slower the hotel owners, or managers, will be happy to invite in all your guests who ever they may be !!

I have been researching the chiang mai thread and would like some up dated information if anyone has the time. There is some info but it doesn't seem like a lot. Possible area's to go and go-go's that might be good. Anything else that people feel is important.

After the grueling bus ride form Vientiane I made it to Chiang Mai but it was only 8 AM and they didn’t have a room ready so with my notes in hand, thanks to everyone who post on here, I headed out to get the lay of the land. I’m staying at the Royal Lanna on Loi Khro so it was just a walk up the street to find Ba Ba Bo Bo, Jammers, Lindas and Butterfly all right there together at the end of the street by the moat. There’s several other bars right there too and more all along the road but I didn’t recognize any of their names from here.
That night I made Ba Ba Bo Bo my first stop, there was nobody in the place except two guys and a girl, they were backpackers, and so I left. Walked by the others a couple of times sizing thing up and decided that Lindas looked like it had the most talent so I went in. Strange thing was that while there were about 10 girls and only a few guys these guys had all of the girls with them, some had 2 girls and one guy had three girls sitting with him. After about an hour I left, checked out the others again, they were dead so I headed back down the street to see what else I could find.
I came to a place, with a Mike’s Burger place in front, that looked like it had a lot of bars in it so I walked up and down a couple of times to check it out. They all had women outside trying to get you to come in for a drink, some places were busy, others weren’t and the quality of women I would say ran from 4 to 6 with a few 7’s in there too. Finally I picked one, I don’t know why this one, and went inside and ordered a Coke. Soon a lady, I’ll call her #1, came and sat down, we chatted and she seemed nice, she asked if I’d buy her a drink so I did. We started playing this game with a big stack of wooden blocks that you take turns removing one until it falls, she asked for another drink, sure, then she said she had to go to the bathroom and would be right back. When she returned she had a friend with her, a very cute and sexy friend, I’ll call her #2, who sat next to me, can I buy her a drink, sure, we played the game some more and then #1 said she would be back. #2 was so darn cute and had a great body, she had her hands all over me while we were playing that game, could I buy her another drink, sure, then #1 came back and was playing the game with us, could I buy her a drink, sure. Then #1 asked if I wanted to take #2 out with me, sure, I’m told it’s 400 BF, I ask how much for #2 and told ST 2000, I ask how long ST is, until you finish, wait that could be only 5 minutes, yes and then she will leave, well how much is LT, she will stay until 6 AM and if she stays longer it will be more. What? I tell them that it’s too much and I’m going to go now, they come down to 1500 ST but don’t budge on the LT, I tell them no thanks and ask for my bill, #1 talks to #2 asking her if she she’ll go down any more, she wouldn’t. My bill arrives and I discover that I’ve bought 3 lady drinks at 130 each, 2 lady drinks at 90 each and my Coke for 60 for a total of 720 Baht! I have a talk with the bartender, he shows me the pricelist, I pay the damn thing, I tell #1 and #2 that they are liars and cheats and leave. Lesson learned, be careful and don’t get sucked into buying drinks for the girls in this place.
Well while I was bad at them, and myself, #2 sure got me revved up so I headed back up the street, things looked like the same set-up so I decided I’d just head back to my hotel. Just as I passed that place again there were 3 girls standing on the sidewalk saying hi and asking where I was going, I tell them to my hotel, they all say they want to come with me, I say OK, they have a little fight over who will go and one come over to me, I ask how much, just pay the bar 400, how much do you want, up to you, no really how much do you want, she says 1500 for all night, I tell her you said it’s up to me so I’ll give you 1200 and if I’m happy I’ll tip you 300, she said she didn’t care about the money and again she says it’s up to you. She’s not too bad looking and she’s got spunk so we make the deal, I pay the BF and we walk to my hotel. She turned out to be a firecracker in bed! In the morning we had breakfast together then back to the room and session number four. She wanted to go shopping but I told her I had plans and couldn’t. She asked if I would get her again tonight, I said I would and she was very happy to hear that. She sure earned the tip so I gave her the 1500 it was worth twice that. Her name was Da and she works at the 69 Bar.

Mike - Sorry you had a bad experience in CM, but I would suggest to you and others to NOT run a bill unless you are confident they are not ripping you off on prices. BEST to pay after each drink order. I know from experience. It cost me DEARLY ..............THAT is the lesson to learn.

In any bar in the US you could have easily spent 5 times that amount. Sounds you were flirting for a while, but you didn't want to pay their price. Next time if you don't want to buy them drinks you should negotiate their rate before you buy the drinks. Whay are they liars and cheats?

Indeed, it's usually a good idea to pay after each round of drinks to avoid any sticker shock. Lady drinks are higher and the gal earns a percentage from each drink ordered. The places I go to in CM, lady drinks are usually around 80-100 baht and I don't buy unless there is some initial attraction.
However, the fact that they got five drinks out of you hardly makes them liars or cheats unless you were quoted drink prices that were different from your bill. You were even shown a pricelist to verify your bill. Basically, you lost face as well as the girls who were only doing what every other bargirl does.
If I got along with #2, I would have went with her...you only live once. But, at least it sounds like your night was salvaged...don't you wonder how #2 hotty would have been though? ;-)

Absolutely. The girls are not at fault here.
Did they ask you everytime they wanted a drink? did you respond positively? The answer is yes. 750 thb 5 lady drinks? that is not expensive. Also, by arguing your bill, and calling them cheats and liars, you managed to make a big ass of yourself.
I am sure that the ladies were happy not to have been barfined in the end.
