Change?
Fellas,
I've already setup my next trip to land in SDQ. Then depart 8 days later in POP. Now here is where I need advice. My total trip airfare is less than 400 bucks incl taxes.
I could A)Land in LAS. Then take cabby to Boca chica for day or two. Then take Caribe tours to Santiago. And split time between Santiago, Caberete, and Sousa. And leave at POP
Be) I could land in LAS. Then go directly to Santiago via Caribe Tours. Spend most time in Santiago (chasing the big fish/nonpros). Then finish up in Caberete and Sousa.
I hear bad reports about south coast. Overpriced, less attractive women, etc. Should I just stick to central/north?
From Las american Airport how do I get to Caribe tours? Can I catch local taxi there? I know I'm cheap, but my profession is banking/finance so I'm always looking save buck!

You are right, head north and let the south coast for the few mongers who can handle overpriced unattractive women.
They use to like to have most for them (haha).
When arriving the airport, you can take a taxi who will take you to the caribe tours station.
Have a good trip....
I hear bad reports about south coast. Overpriced, less attractive women, etc. Should I just stick to central/north?
I prefer the South Coast over Sosua, but it takes several trips to learn the best spots to go. Sure Sosua has 500 chicas but how many can you do at a time?
From your posts I would think you would be better off to spend most of your time up North. You might want to consider only one or two nights in Boca Chica. This will not give you the true feeling of the South Coast as you really need to bounch back and forth between Santo Domingo and Boca Chica. But like I said, it takes several trips to learn how to do this.
The nicer chicas in BC are found blocks away from Calle Durate. Stop in a colmado away from Durate, drink a Prez and see what will walk-in or walk-by.
Boca Chica Beach is much nicer than Playa Sosua. The restaurants on the beach in Boca Chica are much better. Just for watching eye candy you sure can't beat El Conde in Santo Domingo.
Just my two pesos.

If all you have is 8 days I'd say forget about santiago. Land in SDQ put some money aside for 1 or 2 higher priced sessions at a casa like girls house or stroll El Conde for semi pros. Maybe 2 nights in SDQ then one day in boca chica then on to sosua. Things got a little better for me the longer I was in sosua. It takes a few days to figure out who to go with and who to stay away from.
Cabarete might be worth a quick look one day but the three times I went there it was dead. I did not however go at night. Sometimes you will meet girls in sosua from cabarete and they seem to be less spoiled since things have slown down alot there.
Ive heard mixed things about boca chica. An american that lives in sosua said he swears by it. Another american I met said it was way too sketchy and the girls were too hard for him.

First/Last
I just finished my first trip to the DR, with ten days in Sosua. All I can say is what a disappointment. I had high hope for the DR, because it is so easy to travel too, but I will be taking the longer flights to asia from here on out. I did have a few fun girls, but for the most part found them to be so inferior in attitude and looks to the girls working in asia that I will not make this trip again. I learned quickly not to do anything but ST, as they are all runners in Sosua. ST, not a problem for 500-1000, but I prefer the all nighters. The LT I had worked out became ST at LT price. This is the stories I got from most of the visitors I talked to in town. Talked to a guy that had his money grabbed by one of the nasty bitchs on the street that tries to grab your dick as you walk by. Keep your valuables locked up and keep your hand on your wallet as you walk the streets of Sosua at night. If you like ST sex with prison sluts then Sosua is the place for you. Told there has been an explosion in the number of girls using cocaine now and it has impacted quality and attitude. All I know is it is a lot of work to find a fun clean girl over the age of 18 in this town. All ways ask to see an ID and check to see if it is the girl you are talking too. Don't waste your time on a girl if she does not have an ID on her. Sousa, better then going to the hood to fuck some crack hose, but not much.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a rotten time.
A town full of "Prison Sluts". What a concept!
Yeah, I'd have to agree that there is a unhealthy supply of "sharks", "tigresses", "ghetto rats" and....."prison sluts" roaming Pedro Clisante, the clubs and the beach in Sosua. They are as repulsive as you say. And there is garbage in the street. However, if that's all you can see, you're right to be going on to Asia. I see something else in Sosua besides the garbage. I see a shabby, but sparkling paradise, full of sun and fun. And each time I've gone, I've walked past the "grabbers", the "hustlers" and the "prison sluts" and found myself a sweet angel or two. But hey, that's just me.
BTW, you didn't mention if you spoke Spanish. It does help you move better.
Cheers,

Prison Sluts
Freetime - Is this who I think it is ?
Yes the term "prison sluts" immediately came to mind when I saw these girls. There are some pretty girls walking around but man are there some uglies. Some of those girls look like they've been tossed recycled then melted down. I was amazed to see what some guys were calling "sweet P" but I like a huge ass so who am I to talk.
I think knowing spanish will help you negotiate but you still need to have that basic instinct. The concept of going for shortime before longterm is a VERY good idea. You can always ask to extend the session if the service is good. I heard a few stories of guys paying for long term then only getting short term.
The best sessions were from girls I met in the daytime wandering the streets. Beware that some of these girls do not keep themselves as tidy as the disco girls.
I would go back to sosua as long as the weather was nice and only for two weeks at a time. I had thought I might want to stay for a month and use sosua as a home base to travel the country but it really bothered me to be in a beautiful country and stay in more or less a ghetto. The nicer hotels have better views but chicas are not welcomed. Also the concept of healthy eating has yet to reach sosua. My immune system was collapsing by the time I was going to leave. I went many days drinking beer eating strange P and smoking cigs without proper nutrition. Some restaurants offer vegetables but it will cost you. I guess you can cook for yourself in a condo or something but to me prices in the supermaket did not look any different than eating from a menu.

Restaurants serve salads too, and there is always plenty of fresh fruit around.
There are plenty of alternatives to drinking beer. At one time whole populations drank nothing but beer because drinking water was routinely contaminated, but in Sosua bottled water is always available, costs much less than beer, and is perfectly healthy. In fact you should also use it to brush your teeth.
Why would you smoke cigarettes in Sosua if that was something you did not normally do? That alone would significantly diminish the quality of response you would get from sexual partners, because no one wants to go with someone whose clothes, hair, and breath reeks of tobacco, and especially not when they want to light up indoors.
Supermarket prices for food are significantly cheaper than restaurant prices, and this becomes very marked and obvious when eating for two. Compare the cost of buying a gallon of orange juice or drinking water to the cost of a small bottle or glass in a restaurant.
Perhaps you are referring to eating at Dominican places, roadside stalls etc., in which case what you say has some truth to it.

The concept of a salad in the DR is chopped iceberg lettuce or cabbage. You can order a salad or even get a salad bar at a restaurant like baileys but you risk getting sick. One should never eat raw salads in a foreign country. You might get away with it a few times but the one time you dont you will suffer. I was sick in bed for two days with the chills and feeling very weak from some food I ate. Trying to get a restaurant to steam vegetables for you can sometimes be a hassle or they just dont do it because not enough people demand it.
Most of the girls I were with smoked and it had no effect at all on me finding
women. As a matter of fact I got tired of all my ex's asking me for a smoke out in the bars. Also I never said I wanted to drink more water than beer. I just wanted a decent meal to balance it all out.
True maybe you can save a few bucks at the supermarket when eating for two but from what I saw a single guy is better off eating somewhere like rockys. A trip to the supermarket for a bottle of water a few beers and some gatorade was like $12. Compared to other latin countries that is extremely high. The DR is affordable but not cheap.

#2128
My Spanish is extremly limited, and I agree it would have helped, but I meet lot of travels who were fluent in Spanish and most agreed that the talent in Sosua was/is lacking. I did have a few fun girls, but it was work finding them and they would have been considered average to the girls to be had in asia at half the price. The diving, snokeling and other daytime activities all so were not as good and were at much higher prices then can be found in asia. Bottom line, bang for the buck, Sosua is not the place to go if you have more the a week to travel.

I too didn't have a good time with women in sosua. I wouldn't use the term prison sluts. There are a few beauties there. There are even a few white hispanic women in classicos, but very rare. I think in order for one to enjoy sosua or classicos you must be into black or Haitian women. BTW, I went to Classicos or Merengue Bar one night and just sat there and I couldn't find a woman that I was attracted to. However, they are available. I've seen a few of the beauties taken by other men walking out of Europa and other parts of town. Maybe most of the good ones are already booked. I didn't spend 24 hours looking for women. I think the key to Sosua and other latin american countries is to brush up on your spanish and be fluent in it. I think that a lot of Sosua women are more likely to leave early or steal from you if you didn't know Spanish.

i totally agree with you. During my last trip towards the end i did not even bother to go to the discos anymore. Most of the girls were just ugly and asked for way to much money like 3000 pesos. The best girls i had in Sosua concerning looks and performance in bed were all passions girls.
Speaking spanish really helps you alot when you have to deal with girls in sosua.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the theme echoed here. I'm currently in Sosua at the end of a ten day trip. My fourth over the past few months. I have had a totally different experience and found some great chicas here. In fact, my problems have arisen with trying to decide which one to stay with. Have had two novias this trip, a lithesome beauty with canela skin and morena hair and a tall thin bleach blonde with claro (white) skin. Both excellent girlfriends. Have had numerous other positive experiences and only one bad time on my first trip. It is crucial for this experience that one speaks Spanish pretty well as generally any chica that speaks English is too hardcore for my tastes. Had a friend down here on vacation (also on this board) during this trip who had and has had similar experiences, but again he speaks fluent Spanish. Both of us are also older and experienced in the hunt. You really have to spend some time talking with them before you drag one home to get a feel as to what kind of experience this chica would provide. To my mind's eye, you don't need a bar full of 10s to have great time down here I just need one or two each night who makes the grade and if you find a keeper, spend a couple days with a novia.

Sosua Girls
You guys are breaking my heart talking bout the girls of Sosua. I have a trip scheduled for November, staying at Casa Linda and I was really looking forward to going to Sosua. I've been to BB's 4 times and wanted to branch out to something different and try the Sosua scene and now I'm having second thoughts! I've been to classico and I did see a couple beauties but not many but I just figured maybe I need to stay down here a couple days to get the full experience but now I don't know...........Luckily I have my novia incase it's as bad as yall say.
