Hey guys,
A brief report. First thanks to those who gave me some tips about Guangzhou. Didn't get up to much mischief but did visit a BBS at 88 Zhuji Road, near Shamian Island (about a 15 min walk). Went there about 8pm. It had the distinct pink lights in the windows. Went in and tried negotiating FS, but the 3-4 girls there weren't spectacular. Eventually managed to arrange a HJ for 100 RMB with the cutest one, who was pretty friendly and quite GFE. She gave what turned out to be a very nice HJ in a room up some steep wooden steps (almost like climbing up a ladder). Took her time and wasn't rushed. Finished up and paid and walked back to hotel. All pretty easy and hassle free. On the way back, I turned down Heping West Road to check out another BBS mentioned in these threads. It's number 64 Heping Road. It also is operating as a BBS and again I saw the pink lights. So another option if needed.

My first night at 2am with a Kama girl tucked under my arm, the elevator security guard refused me entry, until I asked in Manadarin to see the night manager.
The next day my visiting 18 year old CP regular was grabbed IN THE AFTERNOON on the way to my room and forced to REGISTER AS A VISITOR TO THE ROOM! At 5pm!!!!
despite my protests, I was told to either 'speak to the police' or to check out, I chose the latter, heading quickly to CP.

Thanks for the report, but you picked one hotel that is well known for gf-unfriendly, man. I had stayed there before and I had to register the room to my girl's name. When I came out of the room in the afternoon after some activity (before 5pm), I was stopped and questioned!
We had multiple posts on which hotel is gf friendly, so maybe more such posts will be very useful.
Sure, if having the option to stay in a CP hotel, why bother with GZ at all, but if you have friends and relationships in GZ and need to hangout for GZ night life, then CP hotel is not practical since the last train departs 10:45pm.

I really don't think there is even a reason to try this. Overpriced with fake pictures. Why bother? The places to go have been listed in this thread over and over and over.
If your company has put you up at a hotel that is not GF, browse the thread and get a cheap room at a girl friendly hotel. Your total cost for the room + girl NOT from craigslist will be cheaper than the free hotel room + the craigslist girl. PLUS you will actually get to choose who you take with you! Not even counting the added benefit of being away from business guests or anything like that! Monger in peace!
GF and non GF hotels have also been discussed in this thread, just hit ctrl f and type the name of your hotel and click next till you find a useful report. For example, if I was staying at the Baiyun Hotel, I would hit ctrl f and type Baiyun into the little box, then I would hit next until I find a report saying its GF or not GF.

No worries, I just tried searching this thread for info on the hotel and could not find anything, although I cannot read chinese so I was just guessing at what the chinese name of the hotel would be!
