In your dreams. There are probably more girls in say just Rawhide, Long Gun and Baccara than in all the Sutthisan gogos combined. And the 19 or 20 year olds in Sutthisan are exactly as 19 or 20 year old as the ones in Nana/Cowboy.

In say Nana I will usually get away with 2300 or 2400 for a shorttime, everything included. my 3rd trip to thailand and bangkok in one week.

going to be in bkk for 6 days. made a mistake and booked grand millenium for the duration via wotif (the mystery deal). quite costly at this time of year, apparently high season. i should have instead stayed at different hotels every 2 days just to check them out plus there is an additional cost of 500baht per day for internet connection for grand millenium as per forum info. walking distance to soi cowboy may not be such a big plus point. hopefully can get some kind of upgrade, thought reading the forum seems to indicate this is no longer possible. i have been spoiled by the size of the pattaya hotels and prefer a 1 bedroom these days. let's the wg sleep while i read, watch, surf, think, eat etc in another room but in bkk it is too costly to do that. tried to cancel this and wanted to try the brand new shama (opening 1st of october and pretty cheap opening rates for the size on wotif) but no luck.

i have done the tourist bit in bkk before and on my second trip i found the daytime hours quite boring. this time based on the forum i plan to visit tulip, annie's, mango and snow white. well trodden path in the forum but not by me. comments like, "we don't go to tulip's for the looks but the service" are not particularly encouraging but i have time to kill in the daylight hours so will of course try and form my own opinion.

The managers at the Grand Millennium are real wheeler dealers, and they love to shake & bake to make guests happy. You are staying for a lot of nights, push for the best deal you can but make sure that you go into the upgrade thing with a full clip. Remember, it's a business class hotel, try to LOOK like you belong there. (TIT, of course it's important.)

OK:

#2. Ask for a full free upgrade (including Internet) to Grand Deluxe because you are staying so many nights.

#4. Try to get a breakfast discount. The breakfast isn't really all that special (except for Sunday brunch,) but it's a good place to open for a bargaining session.

#5. If, in the end, you just end up taking the standard Deluxe: After going up to your room try to find something to complain about, stained carpets, badly treated furniture, etc. This can also lead to freebies or some sort of upgrade deal. It's a big hotel, there are lots of rooms, the manager will consider the fact that you might complain to the corporate offices (a real no-no for week stay guests. It IS a 5 star rated hotel after all.)

Sure, I know it all sounds like a game, and yes it is, but you may actually end up enjoying your time there. Location, location, location. In Bangkok, anything that makes things easier to get to someplace and back is a big bonus. And, anything that makes it easier for you to get chicks back to your place is an even bigger bonus. Grand Millennium is just a 3 minute walk from Soi Cowboy, at 1 am this is a HUGE bonus.

Alright. Fuck it, the beds are terrific and the chicks all love the GM like crazy. So don't beat yourself up on your stay, just make the most of it..

They then close around 2am or so, with the occasional cop crack down which closes them early. But barring that, you have a good 8 hours to find something. Climax gets busy around 1am, and climaxes (heh, see what I did there?) around 2:30am (maybe earlier). If you are still empty handed, I would recommend walking out of Climax onto the street, avoiding all offers for taxis or tuk-tuks, and get into a metered taxi - one that is just driving past on soi 11. i am not a writer. actually far from it. just a simple guy that like to pay back to this forum by contributing some information about my adventures in the land of smiles. the best tip i could give you is: rtff.

but a more general set of tips would be:
