A couple of months ago I was in Jakarta and was tempted to visit an old haunt of mine, Kartika massage. The place is nowhere near as busy as it used to be and the woman seem older, larger and not the best looking. Anyway I chose a girl I remembered having once before about 15 years ago. She was OK. The service is still the same, wet body massage followed by "cat bath", BJ and then sex.

Cost was Rp270 K + tip. I really doubt I'll visit again however I did have some great times there in the past.

This time a business associate took me upstairs and I chose a lovely local girl. She looked about 25 but I was told later she was only 19. Cost was Rp1,200 K and on exiting the room I was shown an electronic pad where I could rate the performance and select the amount of tip I was offering. The lowest tip amount was Rp200 K.

The girl was really amazing.

The other girls on offer in the lounge were quite stunning from Vietnam, China, Thailand etc however I wanted the local version when in Jakarta.

I'm sure I'll go back there again if invited.

Did price gone down last time I paid is 350 k plus tip and girl so push for tipping that was 3 yr ago, the last 3 time I went didn't see any girl that is doable mostly older girl better go to Panjay girl there are younger.

Is it easy to pick up ladies online or in the mall to take to your room during Ramadhan? Not looking to go to a club to pick up a lady. I enjoy finding ones online or in the mall. Will be in Jakarta during Ramadhan and need to bust a nut many times.

Wanted to say thanks to the members who have put out some great info. And wanted to give back. My first time in Jakarta, so info won't be anything new to the senior members, but will hopefully give newbies an idea of what the low down is. Let me preface this by saying I wasn't here only to monger, actually got caught up doing things other than mongering. My impressions are that, there's really no centrally located monger spot, and traveling from north to south is cumbersome with all the traffic. That said, I would love to be an expat here rather than a tourist. Indo girls are just lovely, hot, and don't seem nearly as hardened as their Thai sisters.

First night went to Classic hotel, 2nd floor (terminal 2). Wasn't super busy but there was a decent selection of girls. 1 HR sessions for 365 k. Mamasans are silly aggressive and I really hate going thru middlemen,' this has made me reluctant to try the other hotels / spas, I was just about ready to put the boxing gloves on with this one mamasan in particular, and she knew it, she scurried away after giving her a strong, tense look LOL. Rooms were clean, as were the showers. Had an ok session, nothing to write home about. The girl (Renata) gave me her number to hangout off hours, but a little bit of the no-this and no-that in the room. Will not call her, but she did have a slamming body, and the BBBJ was great, all 2 minutes of it anyhow. Min charge to your bracelet is 18 k, I believe, and drinks seemed reasonably priced, but didn't order much. Pool tables cost 54 k for the hour. No foreigners at all.

Blok M was my next stop. Damn, I mean I heard not to expect much but the street really is a sht hole. I was too much of a chicken sht to go into the bars once I arrived LOL, maybe I'll go back, but at 3:30 am the place seemed dead, other than the disturbing mix of not great looking SW's, beggar children, and shady guys hanging out on the street. Not a bule in sight to validate my safety.

Jln Jaksa, which is near Sarinah mall, is the backpacker area with a few small bars, cafes, and patios. Imo, a complete waste of time as it was basically dead, and I didn't see any girl that would make me turn my head. Or I would turn my head, just in the opposite direction. Plenty of people asking if I wanted a girl though, so action was possible if I was a little more adventurous.

Friday night went to an expat bar called Masters sports bar hoping to catch some of the NBA playoffs. Bar was completely dead, save for a few older expats and cougar bar girls, left after one drink, few more expat bars in the area, but again nothing worth writing about. Headed over to BATs. Entrance was 160 k which includes a drink. At 160 k a drink, I find that quite pricey but it is a 5-star hotel. I wasn't planning on picking up a girl, but ended up having a great time. Live band members are a mix of Canadians, Americans, and Aussies, had a good chat with a few of them. Music was basically a poppy / rocky mix of top 40, in between a DJ playing some decent house and hip hop. Crowd, basically older bule expats with some Indians and Arabs in the mix and a handful of locals, who I had fun with. Girls were a real mix, some old, some young, I would say there were probably a handful of 8's and 9's (Sarah and Lucy among a few others), the bulk in the 5-7 range, and a decent amount of older pros. Girls were really friendly and I had a good time dancing and joking around with them. It's not exactly the type of place you go to chill out and have a drink, but whatever, I did, and I had fun. Didn't even ask prices (I know the mkt is 1-2 m and I'm not paying that), but picked up a few phone numbers. Lucy (or Luci, very pretty girl BTW) and I were joking around saying that I would find her an old guy and she would find me an old lady, told her that the old lady would have to pay me, got a good laugh from that one. I saw a few bules pickup girls, only to have the girls walk away at the end of the night. I suspect this was because of negotiations and it seemed like some of the girls were hardliners, which I found surprising as it wasn't a jam packed night. The hot girl (Sara), who did the hard reject to her bule, came up to me straight after, but after seeing the way she treated the dude, I was a little turned off by her. Very hot though, probably mid 20's, great rack, and olive skin tone.

Some more notes:

- Locals are friendly people, both guys and girls, no homo, but it's helpful when you are clubbing and bar hopping on your own.

- I love how you can basically smoke everywhere.

- Food is great, at a reasonable restaurant or food court you're looking at around $6-9 USD for a meal + drink, at least around central.

- For the most part, most people speak a reasonable amount of English to get by, I found this quite surprising.

- Tinder, OKcupid, WeChat are on fire. But ultimately a bit flaky. Got some girl to come out a 2 am to eat at pizza hut. Man pictures are deceiving – be careful LOL, but she was a nice girl, 22 why. O university student, and hung out with her for a while, she was extremely careful to not tell me which university she went to – but somewhere in West Jakarta.

- Bluebird taxis are the safest and cheapest option, fares start at 6 k, they also have an app which is pretty handy (when you call a taxi from the app is the min charge 20 k? Or was the driver just trying to rip me off?

- For those of you who play golf, Senayan and Royale are quite close to the city center that have reasonable green fees during weekdays. I really wanted to play a round, but Senayan was fully booked and Royale required a min of 2 players.

- Across from Sarinah Mall, where the pizza hut is located, there's a barbershop called Luxe. It's 75 k for a wash, cut, style, head and shoulder rub, and the guys there really know what they are doing – I thought that was great value, considering that type of service would cost 4 or 5x that amount back home.

- if newcomers are looking at daygame options, try searching posts by Bulai69, they are archived on the forum, but are really original brilliant ideas, I. E the mall pickups.

At 3:30 am on a Wednesday through Saturday night, My Bar is usually packed. I am guessing you went on maybe a Sunday or Monday night. Most bars in Jakarta are closed by 3:30 any night of the week, but My Bar will be hopping. Don't let the crappy looking street there fool you, it's very safe. The problem with My Bar is that it is filled with smoke, but since you listed smoking as an advantage, you would love it.

Bulai had some great posts back in the day, he was one of my favorite posters for sure. Although I believe he did buy a car for one girl and then they broke up. Buying a car for an Indo girl is a big gamble. His recommendations to always wear designer suits and ties wherever you go to impress the women were classic. My favorite post from Bulai was when he wanted to date a sexy Sale Promotion girl at the mall and she wouldn't give him the time of day. So he offered her 1 million rupiah just to go to dinner with him, and another 1 million as extra incentive if he enjoyed her company during the dinner. LOL. No sex involved. And this was years ago when the price of a girl at BATS was 500k rather than the 1.5 to 2 million now, so 1 million was big money back then. He never did mention if he ended up having sex with her, but it's definitely an ice breaker.

Thanks for Intel on my bar. I believe I was at blok M on a Wed night, if that helps, but like I said, I was a little fearful of the street at that hour and hopped back in a cab quickly after arriving.

The Bulai posts were fantastic. They are a good laugh with great ideas, what a soldier. Now, I'm not the one to be buying girls cars or anything, but money is all relative and amounts have different value to people. To each their own.

I'm in Bali now, so I'll be writing up a trip report soon. So far I'm having more fun in Bali than Jakarta, but like I said, Jakarta is so spread out that I barely scratched the surface.

There are many sports bars in Jakarta where you can watch games. If you go to Aphrodite on a night when there is a big rugby or soccer game, it's packed. I think they have over 20 tvs there. They normally just show the same games you can see on the TV channels. When it comes to American sports, ASN is the best channel because it eventually shows most of the games on tape delay. But as far as watching live, I stream the games most of the time.

The American club does show all of the games live in their restaurant, but I haven't been there in years.
