Sex tourism scandals sell papers.
Outstanding work Mr Holmes!, because of the Semana mis reporting I had been focused on Danville California and I did go so far as to look up his name in the California inmate database, which confused me even more when his name was not listed. LOL.
That part about the 5 million dollar bribe was over the top, I thought beacuase I had read that he had a 5 million dollar bail bond that maybe possibly he was from some wealthy family that had posted his bond and he ran, so the Colombain reporters were calling it a "payoff" but then I could not find anything in the news about that and surely the journalist who followed his court story would have made a bid deal out of that and I could not find anything.
What you have discovered means that these irresponsiblle media like "Semana" are feeding the greiving family a false narrative. They really are peices of shit. I do not know enough about Colombian media to know if there are reputable news organizations.
Your own investigations were heading in the right direction. I find that when reading these stories, the thing to do is to look for what should be in the story, but isn't. Whether someone bribed his way out of prison or escaped, this is surely a story where the US media would have been reporting, but they weren't.
There are three main revenue streams for the media: Advertising. Cover price if it is in print. Wire service. With the last of these you can probably presume quite safely that the local paper in Danville IL will have been notified but not having the resources to send a reporter, will have covered the story by using local "stringers". This would have been a big story at least in IL, and with possible undertones of serious corruption, would have been covered by many of the US media. The journo that I emailed was not even aware of the story which tells me that Semana knew the story was fake and never put it on the Wire Service, or tried to sell the story to those who would be obviously interested, starting with the IL Media. It was the failure of the US media to write about this, that got my antenna twitching.

Well, Thanks for the Education
Yes, I'm a long time lurker but I am not a novice to our hobby. First you need to understand that you are dealing with working girls and the amount you pay has no bearing on the performance you may receive. Second, you are in Cartagena, Colombia and beautiful girls from all over Colombia come to work and make money in Cartagena, there is no shortage of beautiful women and the majority of them will go home at the end of the night without a client. Third, a lot of the time the girls will test you to see if your green or if you really know the game so they will throw out a ridiculous number like 700,000-800,000 to see if you know what your doing.
On my last trip in June I had a chica come over from Tinder she was actually right next door from where I was staying and she saw me before going in and out of my place so she knew where I was. She knocked on my door one of my friends opened it and she was a knockout, as close to a 10 as I've seen. We talked for a little bit, I called her a stalker LOL but when we started negotiations she said her price for TLN was 200 USD. I laughed because I thought she was joking but she insisted that was her price. My friend was telling me to take her and pay it since she was so gorgeous and I'm not hurting for money. I declined and she left. I went back on Tinder and 45 minutes later I had another knockout at my door who was just as good looking and I negotiated 300,00 for TLN. We ordered food, chilled in the pool, smoked, drank, danced and fucked the night away. I gave her a 50,000 tip and sent her on her way. Turns out the $200 girl came back to my spot with someone in my group the next night for 350,000 pesos which was even too much IMO, that extra 50,000 should be a tip if she performs well.
Long story short, they are playing you and yes robbing you blind. You have 78 post and somehow with all the information available to you in this forum you are somehow paying working girls 800,000 in Colombia. No chica in Colombia is worth that much for one night.
I have seen and read lots of information on this forum about prices and feel I have my head wrapped around that information very well. I recall most post stating they paid up to 250,000 K for ST and others state and list 500-600,000 K Cop for TLN. I don't understand where you are getting I pay 800 K COP, surely nowhere in my post but I did pay one lovely lady 700,000 K COP which is only 2 more of these 50's over the 600 I saw was list IN THIS forum for TLN. Plus, as you can see in my post as I explain I get all 3 holes all night and I have no issues to pay 600,000 K COP. Here is the reason why I don't mind, Been working in Sosua and around the DR for years and I go to Tijuana too much 3 hole cost $175-225 not TLN. Hong Kong Club in Tijuana $100 USD 30 Min. CBJ with 2 position and don't touch the tits. Now I must be in Colombia for work too so I don't pay air fare or apartment out of my pocket just fun with sexy chica my type my cost my expense and like I said they really earn every COP and in the end I win and have a big smile on my face. I think you guys trying to educate new people to the forum and let them know about the price you pay is a great thing. For me, I would not care or give a shit, if you are paying $1 USD not my business I'm going to do me and pay what I want so see no robbery here nor am I green I'm putting big dick in pussy and asses in South American and love it.
Bit different from Thailand.
I have been going to Cartagena for 12 years and have given at length reports and if you are pying over 250 k COP you are giving to the Chica Prepago Charity Trust Fund. Nobody needs to post any photos of any chicas they paid 300 k for because even that is too much unless you are getting some extras. The most anyone should be paying for TLN is 400/500 k. I personally could give a shit less if you want to pay 600/700 k for TLN but to come on here and argue that you are paying more because other guys are getting ugly chicas does not pass the smell test. You are paying way over scale and coming on here and scolding someone who is paying the price that should be paid.
Anyone who reads the forum thoroughly would no this already, there is a bunch of guys who pay way more than other guys and if you want to give to the Chica Prepago Charity Trust Fund that is fine by me, I don't hate on people that overpay, but do not be down on someone who is not going to overpay, there are chicas that I think are very attractive that you might not think.
Bellow are chicas I paid each 200 k and spent an hour with one, about two hours with a couple of them and one stayed all night. I took all these photos, I didn't pull them off of a social media site. Are they going to wind a miss universe contest, maybe not, but diffent tastes for different people and thy looked as good as anything else in the clubs that night
Nice collection in the 200 k bargain shop.
Reading through these posts on prices on this forum, I realize that pricing in Colombia is a bit different from TH. There you will often be able to pick up a girl without discussing a price, though if you happen to be a regular in a bar, they will know from the bargirl gossip how much you pay. But if you do decide to broach the subject in advance, girls will often say, "Up to you". I have a theory about this which is basically, these girls are so impoverished, that they don't want to price themselves out of a job and rely on the decency of the customer to do the right thing. I suppose that if like myself, you do your mongering in perhaps a few bars where you are well known to the staff, if you are a cheapo, the word also gets around in those bars, and girls will not give you the "Up to you" a la carte menu.
Conversely, in Colombia it seems that the mentality is, "I (or someone I know) was paid 500 k yesterday. Maybe I should ask for that as a negotiating point, but I will still have my minimum of (say) 150 k which I will not go below. Who knows? He might be stupid? Or I might be lucky? Or he might be a genuinely generous man? Let the negotiations begin". So it strikes me that the attitude in Colombia is that they have little real fear of pricing themselves out of the market, as all initial demands are purely an opening bid. To those who have posted on this subject, I am grateful for that insight you have given me.
Regardless, I do think the tone of the conversation is improper, especially the implication that if you pay "dog prices", a dog is what you will get. Certainly the collection you posted is free from any canine content. I remember being particularly drunk in Pattaya one night, and with my beer goggles on a I ended up with a woman who was aged 42, though she looked about 30. I never asked her age before the pick-up. As the evening wore on and her make up disintegrated, her age was clearly showing. Eventually, it was back to the room and it was the greatest experience I ever had. The experience was a "10". Up until that time, Pattaya was an ego trip for me. Whenever I took a girl out for the evening to Walking Street, I was always looking around to see if anyone had a better looking girl than I had, and very few did. Of course, I learned from that experience how stupid it was to want to bed "9's and 10's" who might give a "6. 5", experience. The real prize was a "10" experience.
Just my opinion, but the real value is not whether the girl is a beauty queen that looks like a female Ferrari, but how well she can take you from 0-100.
Women Mongers in Cartagena
I checked into the Dann Hotel with a Chica forty years my junior on Friday afternoon. At the same time while checking in there appeared to be a Mother and son, a very young guy maybe 23 with a woman at least 20 years older who weren't Colombians, but I think from Spain as they spoke Spanish, who checked in to the Hotel with Passports.
Over the last two days I realized this was not a mother and son on vacation, but a woman monger as they where one happy couple frolicking around the pool. It was quite obvious that I was a monger with a young thing in tow, but this was a little more subtle.
I don't have much experience in Cartagena, so perhaps women mongers are more common here. The only other time I have seen other women mongers is in the DR.
Makes me wonder if there is an ISG for women.
