i do not want to keep talking about temps point, but a lot of these women are good girls that grew up in fucked up situations. this not the united states where hard work can get you out of a bad situation. men there beat there women all the time. i had a girl that i liked was not my novia but i saw her and she had a black eye. i cannot save her, but i am not going to treat her like a ***** either. now, do not get me wrong some of those girls are sharks and will steal and lie to you all day long, but i will not hang with them. i do not want to have to take a quick shower because i know i have a shark in the room. i just hope that if we meet a good girl who are decent we are man enough to have a heart and show them respect. i am not preaching just hoping that you do the right thing when you have the chance too.
in the months i have been a member here, i have noticed a couple of things that have made me pause at times.
1) i notice there are a variety of men here. some go for quality while some "shoot"for quantity, some relish calling the women :bitches and hoes and so forth. though i wonder how they would react if others were to call them "johns" in equally spiteful manner.
2) there seems to a territorial game. a group supporting one geography vs. another defending some other.
3) the eternal discussion about non, semi and full. pro and if the price is right.
i am not going to add any valuable insights into any of these nor would this discussion cease after this mail. i only wonder why we would not accept the other the way he is (wart and all) given that i am not so pristine to begin with and more importantly, why we fail to treat the women with some modicum of respect. if it were not for them, all around the world, the jails will be full of [CodeWord127] and the houses full of children conceived in "duress". the "bitches and hoes" have a significant social contribution. but for which my mom may not have been what she is. a regular woman.

hey sammy. the policy on escorting women out should be monger code 101. it protects the guy and the establishment. its not cool having unescorted girls running around where you stay. theft, violence, and all sorts of crimes can happen. i'm seeing some lazy guys (not you) lately who don't give a fuck about basic mongerers code, but when they wake up after being drugged with all their shit missing, then they will say" i didn't escort her out, the hotel shouldve known i was in trouble".
ooops! i thought this forum was monger code 101,
for my defense, i read the entire thread (yes, including the archived one). highly recommended for any newbie like me. after all, if you are going to do it, you might as well do it right.
will escort out in the future. i am not the kind to ignore advices from more experienced peers. especially if they are celebrities.
looks like i'll be back in may in sosua. going to give me time to read your thread too.
Sosua has no great hotels, no great casinos, the beach has rocks and sea urchins. The most obnoxious people I have ever come across while in the DR have been in Sosua, from wannabe tough guy foreign mongers in classicos, to obnoxious Dominicans, to obnoxious old female foreign cougars, to rip off thieving sosua chicas, all I have encountered in Sosua.
Jao, this is not the case anymore. Agreed 3 or more years ago this was so true. TL and NG are just fine and more than adequate for mongering. I had a hard time staying at Europa back in the day with the mosquitos and power issues and poor bathtub drains (which as I read is still the case with Sosua Bay, its a no no for me).
Also the 'old female foreign cougars' and 'theiving pickpocket chicas' are all departed.
Sosua is not all hardocore putas, there are numerous visiting out of town chicas who could easily classify as semi pro's. So many of them, I have never seen again, nor seen in any forum, nor been able to reach thru phone, or even if reached thru phone they refused or failed to show up at Sosua.
I did not make it my last planned trip to SD, had to cancel at the last minute, surely will make it next time, so I can experience all that you say. But still I strongly feel it will not beat the Sosua experience for me," I LOVE SOSUA". (borrowing from ilovesosua. Com).

Does it or has it ever happened? Seems like a far out thought, like the "poison the monger and take all his money plot" from Boricua's post. If I recall right, TL had this escort out policy when they first opened but have done away with it. There must be a reason TL and NG don't do it anymore. And my guess is that those kind of incidents just don't happen in Sosua, (and I don't want to be the first victim either). But still, there are many early bird chicas that are up and ready to leave when you are still clearly exhausted from partying all night, C'mon give the monger a break.
Anyways, thanks for the Mongering 101 lesson, Mr Gogo. Also to add to the contrary, realize it does not help anyone if the hotel doesn't enforce this policy, even if some mongers voluntarily do it.
It just depends what you want to pay and what your negotiating skills are like. I was in Sosua the other day and I wasn't really looking for a girl per se (just browsing) , but I was accosted by an extraordinarily attractive (to me) girl whom I had never seen before. She asked me to spend some time with her and I told her that she was gorgeous, but I had very little money on me. She asked how much I had. I said 1000 pesos. She said "I'll take your 1000 pesos", so off we went.
She seemed rather inexperienced with regards to the sexual part of the transaction, but willing to please.
If it is important to you not to pay much for sex, then you can certainly get laid for as little as 1000 pesos, (or less actually) , but realistically if you are new to the scene and not prepared to walk if your bid is not accepted, then anything from 1200 up to 2000 pesos is not really unreasonable. If you are going to Sosua for the first time for a few days sex vacation, I would budget plenty of money and not work yourself into too much of a sweat over prices. On the other hand you should know enough to recognize that if a girl is asking for 3000 pesos and up, then you probably don't have to pay that much. These girls are not licensed professionals. They will ask for what they think they can get, or sometimes they will ask for more money if they don't really want to go with you, and hope to put you off. In my opinion it is always better to go for the girl who you feel you have good chemistry with, rather than just head for the best looking girl prepared to outbid all competition as this strategy will not necessarily pay off with a better sexual experience.
What is the right price? The right price is the price that both parties voluntarily agree to.
You are not likely to find Dominican women in Sosua looking for recreational sex with foreigners without money changing hands. Yes, you can get sex without paying if the girl thinks you are a good longer term relationship prospect, though in the long run this will almost certainly cost more than paying for instasex.
Frannie,
Great post! I am so excited about my first visit in two weeks. I am going down with a 10+ visits to Sosua friend, so feel I got the good travel guide. Not been in this type mongering situation since Cuba about 10 years ago (been to Medellin twice in last 9 months and heading for it again a few times this year, but Colombia is no DR and vice versa. Not going there with that debate right now). Agree with you on the chemistry and pricing. Rather take a gal who has good attitude and have fun out in the bar with = good time in bedroom. I have 5 days to figure it out!
Thanks! TNF
I am from New York City or as one ISG member who seems to enjoy a Sosua hard core, crazy, high mileage pro, calls it New York Shitty.
That would be me, and BTW, thanks for the compliment. I actually learned that term by two ISG members that live there and they can't wait to escape the place to have real fun. Personally, I've been there three times and have yet to find the fascination of the place. The city is stressful, busy, and driving there is not an option; JMHO of course. Everyone I met from there during my long military career always boosted,"I'm from New York City!" Like it makes a real difference in life. I was born and raised in an inner city in Miami, does in matter, fuck no. It only matters what you do in life, but not where in the hell you lived throughout your life.
I now live in San Diego, one of the most laid back cities in America. And one of the nicest places to live as well. I've talked to guys in Sosua and throughout the world and they do not want to end their vacation and return to Philly or the blessed NYC. They are disappointed to get on a plane to go home, but yet, I'm ready to return home.
After spending 27 years in the military, and romping my ass threw 40+ countries, and exploring 49 of the 50 states (I figured SD was just as good as ND) , I think, maybe only think, that I have some clue to what's going on in life; but maybe not. I like Sosua for the same reasons I like Pattaya and Tijuana. It is all about one-stop shopping; no bullshit, just shopping. And I guess in your eyes there is something wrong with that? I longer give a shit about relationships, but I guess you do; no worries.
My Spanish sucks, but I am working on it. Jaosousa, if I do ever get proficient in Spanish in years to come; hopefully I will be able to hold a candle to your superior self!

The report BO posted about girls talking about poisoning has credit with me for several reasons. The main one being that they didn't think he understood Spanish, so they felt free to tell secrets. That was a very telling post that should raise a flag to all mongerers. I always make a girl take a shower first, know why? Because I heard of girls spiking their titties. A guy is in such a rush to fuck and suck that he never knew what happened until he wakes up. Has this ever happened to me? No. Do I know anyone thats its happened to? No. Would I be a fool to think it never will? Yes.
Any responsible monger would always make sure his brothers maintain awareness. Just because the hotel doesn't enforce this policy doesn't mean we shouldn't either. We are our own brothers keeper here. If a brother is too exhausted from partying all night to atleast escort a girl out of our "safe zone", then maybe we are setting ourselves up.
As far as the Sosua girls now not being hardcore, I don't agree. Most of those weekend girls from out of town are Santo Domingo or Santiago weekend hustlers. They usually work in teams. They usually go for the quick money fucks. Before you had that newbie who was from Mantellano or Puerto Plata who wanted to meet a nice guy and spend as much of his vacation with him as possible. They would invite you to their home for a home cooked meal, they would get excited about an afternoon date to Cabarete, they would go to the beach (Playa Grande not Sousa) with their weekend boyfriend, they would cry when you departure day arrived. Shit, nowadays these girls don't even want a repeat date, its on to the next guy. Thats pretty hardcore to me.
But lets not let the mongerer off the hook. I remember a few years ago when breakfast at NG was full of couples, now its just guys boasting. I remember before seeing guys walking around holding girls hands. I remember when there were so many girls during the day that guys didn't go out at night for girls. Before guys took their girlfriends to Classicos, now Classicos is for meeting a girl for an hour fuck. Before mongeres developed such a comfort zone that they spent freely and walked around with a lot of money, hence the few pick pockets.
Now the guys are just as hardcore as the girls.

It is all about what the statisticians call a normal distribution.
On the legality of it, again, no doubt, but hopefully we are mostly grown ups here with a sense of what is and what is not right. I am impressed (and envious) by the likes of Tom Jackin, who I learned today has traversed practically one third the earth. If that does not teach a thing or two, what would?
I met people who can speak to me about Hobbes, Locke and Roussau - young women studying law and medicine - smart minds....Personally, I am also bent towards sex with soul and so yes, just plain romping is not my thing -like some here and unlike some here...but to each his own.
This forum, for me, is a place to learn from others' knowledge (and there are plenty of such helpful people here - I am always impressed by Jao's going out the way, and I read it as being kind and generous if you will, to provide information which as a selfish sob, I would not do but I also cannot figure out his SD state of mind, after all others have a right to think differently - as they say in Laissez-Faire) and mistakes and who knows even meet a few like minded people. Personally, I am not here to prove anything or to shoot anyone down. I chose my pen name to mean my time is "running out" in that the count-down has begun. LOL.

Now the guys are just as hardcore as the girls.
This "transformation" was probably in progress by the time I became aware of and started to visit Sosua. But I think if people look at Sosua as nothing more than "Bangkok West" then they will be more comfortable with what to expect and what they are getting into. You would definitely not to be holding hands and acting as a couple with any pro you ran into in the Red Light Districts of Bangkok or Pattaya; and honestly I would feel uncomfortable doing that with pros I meet in Sosua (I will hold her hand as we navigate through the sidewalk crowds on the way back to my room though).
I've always assumed that if I wanted the true girlfriend experience (dinner dates, movies, picnic at the park / beach, etc.) I could always (eventually) go elsewhere on the island. But that would require you to commit to just one female for the most part, which is pretty hard to do in Sosua since there are many chicas to choose from in such a small setting. There is just too much "temptation" roaming around day and night, LOL. And this was the first impression I got of Sosua upon my first visit (to Classicos via Blackbeard's) : that this is a place where guys come to bang multiple women with no strings attached; and that chicas come to make as much money as they can; turning as many tricks as they can before Sunday rolls around and they roll out of town. I probably would have never gotten that impression if only "some" of the chicas in Classico's were pros sprinkled in with regular non-pros; but "ALL" of the chicas up in there were pros, lol!
I'll admit that I am not a "one girl's guy" and at first I thought it had something to do with my (young) age. But seeing as though Tomjackin and Manizales are older than me and still have the same mindset, I think Sosua attracts people of our thinking (when it comes to pros):
I like Sosua for the same reasons I like Pattaya and Tijuana. It is all about one-stop shopping; no bullshit, just shopping...I longer give a shit about relationships...
I guess this would be our anthem:
"I'm not a one girl's guy
And they know it, when it comes to love I don't lie
And the girls respect me for it
Ain't going to say my nose can't be open
But right now it's just too many fine ladies out there
To choose one from..."
