It is not guaranteed the situation will return to normal after that. Some have compared what happened in August to the crackdown in Dongguan a few years ago. The only way to know if it is safe or not is if there are more raids after Oct 18th. So to play it safe, I would advise refraining from hobbying until November.

Even many veggie massage places are now limited in their operations (either you can't shower or you can only get same sex practicians to massage you or else they're no longer allowed to do oil massage, etc.).

A/ has a real idea of the timing at which things will start somehow getting back to normal end of the October meeting (which starts on the 18th) being the most repeated timeframe. But who knows.

For your own sake and safety READ the forum. Right now the heat is on in Shanghai. I would not go to a sauna if it were free. LE is all over the place. Oil massages are risky and others have been arrested for using Wechat to set up a P4 P date. The only safe way to play in Shanghai is contact a regular who YOU know or go to a bar like Judy's and pick up a Viet girl. The latter too is not without risk as she may be required to register at your hotel. One never knows where that information goes. If caught, you could get 15 days of detention.

Before you assume such risks, read the posts from Boag11 on or about 9-13. Shanghai right now is a mongering nightmare so proceed with extreme caution. And NEVER go with a tout.
