This chica was in the Zona today 9/26. She was walking the alley with some tall bald guy. She looked like she was just passing through. Went into a couple of stores. Then I seen her walk up ninos.

- A great therapeutic massage and no release.

I have yet to find both at the same time. Does it exist in Tijuana?

Every now and then I go to VivaMex on Calle 4 and Revolucion because I get a discount $25 for an hour but when you add in a tip it still isn't worth it. I go every now and then if I want to lie down for an hour and have someone touch me but I don't expect much. After all $35 gets you laid in Tijuana. Ditching the massage is a no brainer.

Graves[/QUOTE]First of all, do not put any stock into the "Colorful Opinions" of one Captain who frequents these boards. He has no idea what he's talking about, and has never done the things he's suggesting.

Hugo did all the right things. Kept money and phone in hand, making it hard to steal. He noted the number on the car. He immediately called 066 and reported it. If it were me, I think I'd also fill out the paperwork at the Sindacatura, but it didn't happen to me, and I'm certainly not going to second guess him. Tijuana cops have a terrible reputation and I believe that the city is trying, at least somewhat, to clean up that image. Unfortunately, corrupt cops are a fact of life in Mexico, and it's not going to change overnight.

The aberration here is that the cop got violent, as another (maybe the same?) did with KevinM earlier. That was a very rare thing, indeed, in the past. HTM did the right thing by not taking it lying down. I'm sure the cop lost a ton of face and will think twice about roughing up another gringo. When the shakedown is 200 pesos for some bullshit allegation, it's one thing, and you pick your battles. What's your time and effort worth? But getting, basically, mugged by a thief in uniform, well, that's another.

I'm still considering discussing this incident with Sindicatura. Hopefully with the record of the emergency call on file somewhere that might buy me a little time. Obviously the more they got away with there robbing of tourists the more brazen they became.

They have been assigned to zona norte for about a year and a half or two years. They often cruise around the alley over and over and shakedown gringos in the morning hours.

She works days with some early morning starts and usually stands between Hotel El Porton and the corner, so she's in a good position to witness a lot of morning thievery by these two. ".

My guess is these are the same clowns who came after me. The Method of operation seems to be the same and judging by all the USA Currency they showed me they are getting pretty good at this. Well if anything I will be in touch with my amigo who provided that bit of intel and we may be able to determine if this incident has changed there evil ways.

Do you have a description of these clowns? A badge number, or police car number even if they are partial numbers. Maybe some of us in the past have neglected to complain now want to step forward to complain following your example.

It seems like the MO of this cop (s) is to cruise the Zona in the early morning looking for tourists to shake down. In the early morning because if a tourist is still leftover from the night before, he's likely to have spent the night drinking. And an intoxicated victim is unlikely to resist nor file a complaint. This is also the time when there are less people in the streets to act as a witness.

So early Saturday or Sunday is not a good time to be on the streets in the Zona. Better to wait until at least 8 am to wander ouside?
