But you asked about the most funny thing I have experienced during my mongering adventures. Well, here is one that I found quite funny. hey, Dreams. You will see many LARGE signs pointing you to the city taxi pick-up point. It's located on the lowest level of the airport, just outside the door -- I think in fact there may be two departure points. Change some money or go to an ATM before you head for the taxi.
You will see multiple desks, maybe a line. Tell the girl/guy the name of your hotel. S/he gives you a receipt and hands the rest of the (receipt) paper to the driver. He takes you from there. He will have functional English at best. And the driver will be "he".
The driver should turn on the meter right away. If he doesn't when you drive away, remind him. He will PROBABLY ask you for toll road money (75 THB), but may roll that into your fare. That "ask" is ok, unless you want to avoid the expressway and meander through the streets (Don't). If you give the driver 100THB, he will give you the change after one of the two toll booths.
Your total fare may be 300 THB, maybe a bit more with toll road fare.
BTW, there is an airport fact sheet at the top of the page, but the information looks out of date.

Thanks[/QUOTE]If you don't have more luggage than you can carry down a few flights of stairs, take the airport train to Makkasan station (15 Baht) and a taxi from there (shouldn't be more than 60-80 Baht depending on the traffic) or the subway and skytrain, which involves further walking/changing and doesn't save all that much.

From the arrivals area, (on Level 2), there are moving ramps all the way to the LINK Train Station.
For the time being, the Express Line to Makkasam is 100 baht; the local train (w/more stops) is 15 baht. Makkasan (at Asoke & Phetchaburi Rds.) is not too far from Nana, although you'll have to exit the station to get a taxi.
The slower local train (City Line) goes all the way to the Phaya Thai BTS Station. There is an easy direct connect here between the two systems. The BTS trip from Phaya Thai to Nana on the BTS is about 30 baht, and could be much quicker if there is heavy traffic. Using this route, you can actually get to Nana for 45 baht!
If you have heavy luggage, you'll have to use the elevators to exit the terminal stations, and negotiate the way from the Nana BTS Station to your hotel.
