One common and particularly dangerous method that criminals use in order to rob a victim is through the use of drugs. The most common in Colombia has been scopolamine. Unofficial estimates put the number of annual scopolamine incidents in Colombia at approximately 50,000. Scopolamine can render a victim unconscious for 24 hours or more. In large doses, it can cause respiratory failure and death. It is most often administered in liquid or powder form in foods and beverages. The majority of these incidents occur in night clubs and bars, and usually men, perceived to be wealthy, are targeted by young, attractive women. It is recommended that, to avoid becoming a victim of scopolamine, a person should never accept food or beverages offered by strangers or new acquaintances, nor leave food or beverages unattended in their presence. Victims of scopolamine or other drugs should seek immediate medical attention.

Between 1998 and 2004,13% of emergency-room admissions for "poisoning with criminal intentions" in a clinic of Bogotá, Colombia, have been attributed to scopolamine, and 44% to benzodiazepines. Most commonly, the person has been poisoned by a robber who gave the victim a scopolamine-laced beverage, in the hope that the victim would become unconscious or unable to effectively resist the robbery.

Jeez, I must say I like Brazil more as I have way less weird encounters. Tonight I contacted a girl from a new ad in mileroticos, and I went spontaneously there, apartment. Other strange things, she wanted to take a photo of the two of us, with my phone. Didn't ask to get a copy of it. Told me to share it with nobody.

She wanted me to take her away to Europe, all her boyfriends have left her because of the trouble around her. To live here with her I'd need to pay a body guard. Oh boy.

I dunno. Maybe that's all just invented nonsense. But what if she does have connection to the gangs?

I got dressed about 10 min before my time, all the while continuing to converse. She asked me for a tip, and, TBH, I did give her 50 because I didn't want any problems. Haha. As I went back to my hotel, I watched my back to see if anyone would be following me. In the hotel I deleted the photos because all sorts of shit went through my mind, if perhaps that was some sort of trap.

Anyway, I find Colombia way more weird than Brazil. God, what all I have experienced here. I am still on my post-exposure prophylaxis from my little mistake entering the wrong way. Last year I was blackmailed by threat someone would report me on false charges (the threat was obviously not thought through, so I would not be that impressed.) But man, I feel like I do not want to do a lot more in Colombia. This sort of thing has never happened to me in Brazil. Well, if you discount the dispute I had with one girl who got all mad at me and then said she would do black magic on me.

Oh and I had bowed out of two dates which seemed fishy both on the same day. One was a tinder date where I got contacted. The other was an SA girl who insisted I meet her in her barrio of Ferias instead of coming to me to Chapinero. I bowed out of both because that seemed fishy to me.

Now as for your conversation here, I got curious about this "never go to an apartment" -- so much action happens in apartments. How are you like completely avoiding that? I doubt it. Can't believe I'm the only one here ever having gone to a girl with her own local.

PS: her ad said she was looking for a sugar daddy too, that's a bit strange. Given that she was so insecure with me, I was surprised she asked me when we will see each other next time. I must say, if she hadn't scared the shit out of me, I would possibly have agreed, since the second time around they are often more relaxed and open. But I'm trying to stay away from crazy. So this trip has not turned out how I thought it would with mongering. It is pretty close to Córdoba Local Park in case that is helpful to anyone. I walked along 108 through the park and through what looked like a pretty wealthy neighborhood. It felt like I was in any suburb in the US. It was around 3:00 pm when I started walking and no issues. Walking back no issues as well.

I got to the house and was let in and brought to a bedroom in the front. It had a queen bed, a tv playing Colombian techno and a fridge with free beers and waters. The woman said to help myself and to wait. I did not have any. A couple of minutes later the woman that I had asked for entered and it was an amazing time. Not sure how much ya'll care about the actual details since its 100% personal preference and chemistry. But I had a good connection about a variety of topics and got an awesome GFE experience. The setting was comfortable and we got to talk, bang, and talk. I got her whatsapp and we are setting up time for drinks and more fun. Paid, so its not like I am some Casanova. But I was able to find a girl that was fun and I felt safe with. It was no rush and got all the time that was paid for.

I don't post much but feel responsible to share this with the forum. I lived in Bogota at the turn of the century and have been a frequent traveler to Colombia since and have plenty of experience in the establishments in the north of Bogota. I visited Lido's and a no name place across the street from Atlantis Mall last week. I want to share an experience that I had with the waiters at both places. I usually don't drink much in these places due to the high prices, but I was talked into going with a favorite of mine who wanted to check it out. My primary draw to this place was a friendship with the former manager of Lido's. He was the manager of the club Casanova at 86 and 15 prior to Lido's and would always give me a discount on bottle service. He has since retired and been replace by a former Casanova waiter whom I have known for the last 20 years as well.

So we ordered off the menu, and when the bill came it was stepped on with IVA. Now anyone who has purchased anything in Colombia knows that the IVA is included in the price of the purchase. So I review the bill and see the add on of 19% for IVA plus a 10% propina. The 200 mil bill has another 58 mil add on. WTF? I look at the bill and ask what is this? I get some bullshit explanation and tell the guy that I am not going to pay the IVA and he just smiles as says in English no less, "Ok, I want you to be happy" and I peel off the 200 mil and stick it in his hand and get the hell out of there.

So we get in a overpriced taxi and go to the zona rosa to look for the next rumba because I am very alcahuete with my favorita. It is 2 am and all the regular places are closing and we get hustled by a tout (recognize him from the streets as well) and go into a no named place across the street from Atlantis mall. We have a few drinks and the bill comes with an IVA add on and same fucking story. I ask the waiter what is this? He gives me some bullshit of you know how these places work. I tell him, No I don't know how these places, work, but I know how the IVA works in Colombia and no one adds IVA to the price on a menu in the whole fucking country. I tell him that I am not going to pay it, and since I am a stranger to this place I am getting ready for some type of confrontation with the establishment. The guy doesn't even put up a fight and discounts the IVA and I pay the menu price and get the fuck out of there.

I know the users of this forum don't frequent this types of places much in Bogota and focus more on SF, but I wanted to share this scam of adding the IVA to the bill so you can avoid a Noche con IVA.

Pretty much my thoughts when using SA, Tinder. Especially if on a two week or less trip.

While swiping is easier from your couch YMMV. Too many variables to deal with IMHO.

With casas, clubs. You are seeing what you are getting. Usually the only question is how will she perform after you choose her.

A combined 9 months in Colombia, most of that time in Bogota, I have never once been in the Santa Fe street hooker scene, I am curious though, but I fear low quality, dirty place, and being rushed. Nor do I like to frequent nightclubs and bars, that's just unnecessarily expensive. I like the photoprepagos and mileroticos, and then when I find a nice casa that way, I am filing that to come back.

Now I share an observation. I am always interested in new girls, I like them young and fresh, don't like veterans so much, except such girls who, although young, have been in the business forever and really like it, like my little porn starlet in Brazil, who has become almost a personal friend of mine.

And I had it twice now that on mileroticos there are ads of very fresh girls. Twice now I was one of the first customers ever. Last night my little crazy bandido girl. And a week ago another new one. On photoprepago I think it's a little more expensive for them, not sure, there are many who are settled for a month already. But the ones that just started off, I find on mileroticos.

If you're worried about taking girls back to your place, you can meet in public and go to a love motel. I personally wouldn't go to their apartment, not because I'm worried about being robbed, but because their place probably going to be crappy and cold.

As you've said in previous posts, it doesn't hurt to to get a copy of their ID even if you're not bringing them back to your place. And of course, choose a place in a safe neighborhood with good reviews and requires each guest to show ID regardless of how long they're visiting. I also avoided getting drunk on the trip, never left a drink unattended, and always ordered the Ubers myself.

I am probably going to need to practice a few sentences in Spanish repeating what you had just said. That IVA should be included in the price per Colombian regulation. I am not going to pay for it. And please kindly remove it from the bill.

I meet them over lunch and have a conversation. This filters out those who don't meet without having a payment for just that, which I'm not going to do, pay someone to take her out for lunch. All girls I had met (over a dozen) were just normal girls, each having their financial issues, of course lots of flakes or no-goes, none of them bad people or would put me into any danger. In one case I had one who didn't want to go for lunch and wanted to meet in hotel and do the deed right away, since she didn't want to come to the hotel I chose, I cancelled that meeting. Sad, because her photos really spoke to me on a deeper level. But that's life. I think the key about avoiding danger is for you to be in charge of selecting time and place, meet in public places first, etc.

4. I checked the first page = 30 profiles, and #18 profile from the top of the list shows that #18 girl on the list was "Last Active" on Mar 2, 2022. That was 20 days ago.

5. My conclusion is: SA in Bogota is very slow, next to the waste of time and money, considering that most of "Last Active" girls on SA-Bogota just registered their accounts.

Bogota has 10,000+ results with age filters only. It surprisingly has more profiles than some more popular cities in South America.

Get rid of the other filters except age and see if that works. I usually put 0-10 miles as the distance because Bogota is a large city.

If that doesn't work, get rid of all filters and see everyone in "Bogota, Bogota, Colombia." You should see 10,000+.
