Especially if you have not actually met her yet, and you're just hoping to randomly pull her. The fact is, in all the times of been to Thailand, I have probably gone with 200 or so different women. And there was EXACTLY ONE of them that I could have spent that kind of uninterrupted time with and trusted her, and not gotten tired of being with her. And I tend to LIKE commitment and fidelity when it's with the right girl. During my last trip, I MIGHT have met a second one, but I did not have enough time to really explore whether she could have been that kind of good friend. So that's one, potentially two, out of 200. So those are the kind of odds you are up against. And, just to make it even tougher, there's no way you could POSSIBLY know it from the first one or two short, mostly all about sex, meetings.

So, Amer Tun, Forget about it. It's like deciding you're going to marry someone (if only for 9 days) on the first date. What are the odds that such a relationship will work out? The bottom line is, if you are VERY lucky, you might actually meet someone who won't scam you and won't grow very tiring to be with. But you won't know it until you are ready to leave, best case. It's FAR more likely that you are setting yourself up for a scam, as Etaoin2003 pointed out. What you should understand is that you are in Thailand, you need to sample all of the joys of the wonderful smorgasbord of hot spinner ladies that are available to you. The Shangri La is totally friendly for guests - so you might as well enjoy yourself with the variety on the menu. Only dining on a single dish for the whole 9 days is bound to give you indigestion.

Amer,

BKK will be very easy to figure out and NO, do not start with an escort agency. Keep the agency phone number handy, in case everything else is not working out. I'm not sure, if after one day, you will still be thinking about the one girl thing. For starters, there's no guarantee that you will hit it off with the girl the agency sends you. Some of the agency girls also have day jobs and are making money on the side. Some may not be able to do a 9 day thing. Better to handpick your girl, in your situation anyway.

Visit the usual places, Nana Plaza also known as NEP on Sukhumvit Soi 4. Soi Cowboy near Asoke Station on Sukhumvit. Any girl working for a Go-Go or bar, will mean a daily/weekly barfine, which will add to the cost of these girls. Visit the Beer Garden in the afternoons, hit Gullivers or the Bamboo Bar in the evenings. Hit the clubs, go to the Pent, Boss, Hollywood Bangkok Club, Tunnel Club, CM2, Nana Disco, Spice Club. The Nana Car park is also a midnight to 3:00am option.

There are bars up and down Sukhumvit and down each of the Soi’s (Streets/Lanes). Even coffee shops and the Malls are fair game. Pick up phone numbers and enjoy the adventure. Learning where everything is, is part of the fun. In your position, I would hit a Soapy massage in the Rachadapisek area on your first day, for the experience if you have never tried it. Then decide if you want to lock into one girl and start your search.

I personally like the short time (ST) option. I don't speak Thai, so there are very few girls I can keep an ongoing conversation with. After a while, you will want to start up with someone else. Of course there are exceptions. I also like to get massages daily, so the girl gets in the way.

It’s very easy to someone and you could end up with a girl for as low as 1,000 baht a day, or more likely 1,500 to 3,000 baht a day. On a normal day in BKK, I would be surprised if you don't see at least 500 to a 1,000 girls.

I have found that OUR looks have exactly NOTHING to do with it - unless you're trying to pull a non-pro. FYI, I'm 48, greying/balding, and 5'8" and weigh 280 pounds, and it has NEVER been an issue in Thailand. The ladies will make jokes about my belly, and I will respond that I am like buddah. And they go with me, no problem. My experience is that these working girls are all about the Baht, and being treated nicely. They have pretty much ALL been treated badly by Thai guys, and they know that Farangs will generally treat them much nicer, as well as spend money on them. And once you prove it, they will want to hang out with you.

I don't have pictures because of a close call when I had to run into the bathroom to erase them after the trip to Angeles. My wife who met me at the airport wanted to see my camera. Oh yes, to the guys in here who think the pictures provide proof of how much the girl charges: do you want her to hold the sign or a price tag in the picture?

As this was my first post, I would thank all the forum members answering my questions about BKK. As I come from Luxembourg (Europe) I'm not very used to asia; only been to Singapore and Bali till now and I must say I like asia. I even didn't think about a girl scamming me as I usually believe in the best in people.

So all your answers were a big help for me.

By the way, don't they say anything in hotel Shangri-La if you come every day with another TG? Have I understood this right.

A higher end street is Soi 33 that has a lot of hostess bars on it. Higher end does not mean higher service or best service, it is still how people react to each other but almost all girls in thai give a GFE if you treat them right.

I would avoid an escort agency personally as you not meet the girl. You can walk into any bar or club and meet the girl and talk first then decide to take for a night or so.

Don't worry about the walk of shame. But it just sound like you would like Soi 33 over NEP. Can you pull a girl for 9 days, of course, probably every girl would be willing for 9 days especially at shangri la from any place you go but that does not mean you will get a winner or that you will be happy. But do you want the same FL walking around with you in Shangri La for 9 days??? What kind of clothes you thing these girls have in their closets at home?? I've had LT GF's in thai and even where I stay I've had to buy them clothes so they fit in a little better (if staying over night who cares but for long term stays I do care). Also if you find a girl you like from a bar there are lower rates for the BF for longer time, usually over three days in a row.

2. Soi 33 is good place to start but you need to be careful which bars to avoid, etc. A little RTFF will give you details - personally my suggestions would be Monet and Sports Bar at Livingstone's Lodge. At the latter, ask for the owner (and his name is NOT Giotto), introduce yourself as newbie to ISG.

Monet was DEAD lately and the girls changed for the worse, IMHO. Normally I would agree with you that Monet is one I would check out and did check them out but was disappointed lately. The Office was better then Monet. CK or Powleys' or whatever it's called lately had better talent then Monet did. And yes, I like Livingstones, probably a good choice for the poster. Not saying he couldn't find what he wants at beer garden or bamboo beer hall but most likely he's better to pull for that time from 33. And probably get better set up from Livingstones then other places.

My 1st Bangkok visit. I have just spent six months working in the Philippines.

I reserved a room in the Queen’s Imperial Park hotel. Nice hotel, GF (asked doorman) and only 3200B.

Walked down to Soi Cowboy and checked out a few bars. First bar I went in was Cowboy Two. Maybe I was too early, but dead. Beer was 90B and I didn’t see anything worth buying a drink for.

Went over to Toy Bar and met a 20 yr named Oh (photos in Photo Galley). She was very cute and fun to play with. Had two beers, 90B and brought her two LDs, 90B. No pressure here to buy drinks. She asked if I wanted to BF her for 400B, but I really wanted to check out the bars.

Went over to DejaVu and was surrounded by six girls who wanted drinks. I picked one and she sat down and wanted a LD before I had ordered a beer. I asked how much and she told me 160B. Too much for me, so I left there.

Walked down to Country Road and ordered a beer, 100B and the band was playing the Beatles and the girls didn’t look too great. One about 30 came over and sat with me and didn’t ask for a LD. I finished my beer and left there.

Wondered over to After School and I didn’t see anything there, it was dead. So I left and went back to Toy’s. After visiting a few bars, I felt like it was the one for the night. Oh was with a customer, so I sat and talked to the bartender. She was around 23 and had glasses like a school teacher. I really wanted her, but knew that I was already marked by Oh.

Five minutes later Oh came over and we had a drink and then she asked if I wanted to go bar hoping. I took her for 400B and she changed clothes and we went to Long Gun. We arrived 5 minutes before the main show and she knew the mamma, so we got good seats. There were about 50 customers. It was fun watching the show with her and she was very playful with the girls. After the show, we went down to Susie Wong’s and watched a show there.

After the show, we went to a short time hotel, 350B. Nice clean room with good A/C. It was located at the end of Soi Cowboy on the right, second floor. After we showered together, she preformed a BBBJ and IMHO great GFE. Damage was 1500B

1st night was awesome and 20 more to go.

Thanks Tansak - you've got more updated info than I re Monet. Hopefully they're still pretty good about the bar bill and not rip you off like other places on 33.

I didn't mention Office as it can get noisy at times but talent was not bad the last few times I dropped in. And of course the Sports Bar is our favorite :)

No, they are still good at the bar bill, and I agree others on the street you can not trust to total up correclty or apply the right price. The office I've never had a problem at or the sports bar as well.

The bills are generally ok in Monet, Office Bar, Mojo's, Powelly's Sports Bar, Lookie-Lookie, Livingstone's Sports Lounge

You must be more careful in Renoir and Dali. The bars are ok in general, but some groups of girls order their drinks without asking the customer, and afterwards he finds this drinks on his bill.

Be very careful in Christie's and Napoleon, we hear many complaints about this places. Whether and how this is organized ... no comment.

The other bars - I don't know and heard nothing negative.
