As you most likely now, many mongers frequently comment in the forums about having small denominations of currency in their pants pocket or wallet, with the large bills hidden in a sock or shoe. I'm just curious now as to if they have added our socks to their regular search routine.

I had viagra in my sock, so I was worried I might get a complete inspection if I insisted on seeing the judge.

Went to Boystown last Thursday with the trucker vans. The place was almost dead with not too many door girls and no one in the clubs. Sessioned with one of the girls in Martha's for about $80 including the room. Very mechanical not any better than the door girls and much more expensive. Went back to Laredo early with some of the truckers and then drove to the bridge and parked and walked to Montero bar. The place was packed around midnight with a lot of good looking young girls. An older woman fixed me up with a young girl who was relly wild. Kept sticking her tongue down my throat. Sessioned with her for 40$ and $10 for the room next door. Very good sex, I could do anything I wanted. I agree with Bbond that Boystown is not worth the hassle and the girls downtown are much more pleasant and fun to be with. I almost think they are mostly part times trying to make an extra buck. One of the truckers told me the other two downtown bars are cartel bars and just to to the montero. I would think the cartel has something to do with them all and so what as long as they are safe. Another question to Bbond. Are all the girls in these bars there for the action or do some just go to hear the music? I see some really good looking girls talking to locals and don't want to approach them in fear they may be talking to there boyfriend.

This Friday I decided to take a quick trip into NLBT for some possible quick action in the afternoon about 2:00. I thought I would take a camera in not thinking anything of it but when I got to the check point what was my surprise to find that I was searched and those damned "ratero" cops claimed that I was carrying an illegal item into the zone of tolerance. Cameras are apparently now considered grounds for booking and encarcerration. Damn it. Being taken in and held I was given the chance to speak with the commander. After some pleading with the guy he asked how much money I had with me. All I really had at the time was $90. 00. He said he needed at least $300. I said no way, that $90 was really all I had. I pleaded with him some more. Finally, he said that he wanted to show me how fair he could be with me. And said that he would only fine me $80 and gave me $10 and told me that the $10 could buy my a nice door girl. Those Mother F. Ers. Well I lost $80 but at least I got my camera back. And a lowsy mechanical lay with a cheap door girl. Bad afternoon. So leave you cameras behind if you intend to go to NLBT. I am now thinking how long it'll be before the situation in the downtown area clubs goes to hell with incidents of random shootings into the the crowd with automatics or tossing of a granade into one of the clubs. You know it's just a matter of time. All those places have some ties with the cartels and sooner or later it'll show up in the clubs. For some time for me it's been just hoping that I am not at the wrong place at the wrong time. These times really suck. Nothing the way they used to be. I think that I may be changing my tactic and visiting the clubs downtown during an earlier time. Maybe the afternoon or early evening to avoid any unforseen dangerous activity which is more prone to errupt later in to evening or after midnight.

I am assuming you must not have much experience going to NLBT. I am not trying to be a smartass but cameras have always been illegal to carry into NLBT. I have 30+ years of experience going to NLBT. Everyone needs to listen to Bbond and Boycott NLBT / La Zona. Bbond is very knowledgeable about Nuevo Laredo & NLBT. He has lived in Nuevo Laredo for 2+ years and knows what he is talking about. In my humble opinion you're playing a Dangerous Game of Russian Roulette if you go to NLBT-sooner or later you're going to get burned / extorted for a mordida / bribe. The Pinche Pendejo Cabron Ladrones Joto NLBT Policia can do what ever the Fuck they want to ya' and there ain't Shit from Shinola you can do about it but grin & bear it.

I had a knife planted in the back seat of my truck back in the winter of 2007. I was very lucky that I was able to talk / bluff my way out of the problem without paying a mordida / bribe. I told the Crooked NLBT Policia that I had been coming to Papagayo's for 30 years and knew the owner of Papagayo's by name-La Patrona Opelia Camacho. And that Ophelia knew me by name, which was a true statement. I told the Policia that we needed to go talk to La Patrona Ophelia Camacho about the problema, them planting a knife in my truck. The Policia were shocked that a Gringo knew La Patrona's first & last name. In my opinion, they were scared of possible problems with La Patrona Ophelia Camacho so they told me to vamonos / to leave.

The same Crooked NLBT Cop that planted the knife in my truck still remembered me two years later. He is a tall / heavy set hombre that speaks excellent english. This Crooked NLBT Cop disliked me immensely / hated my guts. In June of 2009, there was a group of us that met & ate at El Rancho Restaurant-me, Bbond, Dr. B, Ob-wun, Slick35, BabyHuey & Oso Nuevo. I rode with Ob-wun in a taxi to NLBT, Ob-wun in the front seat and I was in the back seat. Ob-wun is disabled and in a wheel chair. The same Crooked NLBT Cop that planted the knife in my truck was working the entrance to NLBT that night. He shined his flashlight into the front seat and then the back seat. The windows were rolled down & I said hola / como esta. This Crooked NLBT Cop asked me multiple times if I remembered him-which I did. I played stupid and said I did not remember him. He did not have us exit the taxi for the usual prerequisite spread eagle pat down / search against the taxi. He let us go & I think the only reason he let us go was due to Ob-wun.

Dr. B, BabyHuey & Oso Nuevo shared a taxi to NLBT. They were escorted to the NLBT Office / Jail for their spread eagle pat down / search. The Crooked NLBT Cops had them lean spread eagle against a wall for their pat down / search. They removed their wallets under the pretense of searching their wallets for drugs. The Crooked NLBT Policia stole money from their wallets. Their was a Gringo in his 60's from San Antonio that same night in Tamykos. He heard our discussion about the Pinche Pendejo Cabron Ladrones Joto Policia. This Gringo told us that the Crooked NLBT Cops had stolen $200 from his wallet at the entrance to NLBT during his spread eagle pat down / search.

I was fortunate and lucky that I never got burned and had to pay out a mordida / bribe. October 31, 2009 was my last visit to NLBT. I felt that if I continued going to NLBT Boystown, my number was going to come up ie that I was eventually going to get burned and have to pay out a mordida. You never knew upon arrival to the entrance of NLBT if the NLBT Policia were going be ok / cool in their pat down / search. Or super aggressive in their pat down / search and remove your wallet & counting your dinero deciding if they were going to steal dinero from you or not. The hassle just ain't worth it my humble opinion. I started going to Reynosa BT in 2010-4 times in 2010. And 2 times to Reynosa BT in 2011. So far I have experienced no problems in my visits to Reynosa BT-knock on wood.

There are several that just come to party, some to to drink and dance to make a few pesos, and of course, some that will go to the room with you.
Don't be afraid to approach any of them, they know the situation, and if they decline, move on to another one.
But, get it clarified quickly, don't sit and but her drinks all night only to find out she can't or won't go with you.
Tonight I watched a newbie talk to, and try to get, a girl that will not, under any circumstance, go with anyone.
He left mad.
Later I asked the girl what was up with the newbie, she said he was drunk and was insisting she go with him.
He failed to ask, BEFORE he spent time and money on her, if she was available or not.
The girl is HOT, and I mean HOT, only a newbie would not figure why a girl that hot would be sitting alone.
She won't go because she has a boyfriend, a big dude, real nice guy too. He told me he can't yet afford to take her completely out of the bar, but he was working on that.
She totally respects that lucky dude, and is content to make about 200-300 pesos a night just drinking and dancing.

I know that taking pictures of the compound has always been an issue.

Then there's the cell phone issue, most cell phones have a camera, some even with flash, those are allowed.

Actually, I am pretty well seasoned with the NLBT. Been going regularly for the past 15+ years and even before that as a young stud back in highschool. I am from here and always been somewhat adventurous and daring. Over the past 15+ years I would always hang out with my buddy as we would make the rounds to El Rancho restaurant for some carnitas and some cold beers, maybe check out the Rancho bar for a bit and ease down some smooth Jacks and coke. Then head out to the NLBT. However, things started getting reduculous at NLBT with all the damn cops frisking you down and taking your money at the entrance to NLBT or if it wasn't that it was the damn patrol cops stopping you for bogus traffic violations and extorting money with the traffic stops. We just about had enough of that and decided to try the downtown scene. Which is ok. Less of a hassle in not dealing with all of the above, but I don't feel as safe walkiing around late at night and in the clubs themselves are basically open for trouble. You just never know what's going to errupt at any miniute. However, lately, unfortunately, I've had to go out solo, being that my buddy has either had his permission taken away from by his wife in going out with the boys or she has blacklisted me and not allow him to hang out with me anymore, probably due to me being a "bad influence". But whatever. I am trying to adjust being out there alone, but it's tough and scary sometimes. You're out there by yourself and you just don't know what can happen. It's always better for there to be two or more guys together than one, especially these days. Anyway, I guess ignorance got the best of me on the camera ordeal. Oh well live and learn.

Hola Bbond, it was ok with La Patrona Ophelia to have / use cameras at Papagayo's Fiestas or on a special occasion like a Chica's birthday. Other times cameras were not allowed in the club. But it has always been illegal to be in possession of a camera if the NLBT Policia caught you with a camera.

I don't know if you remember a trip Toold had to NLBT a number of years ago during daylight hours. I don't remember all of the details. Toold drove to NLBT and stopped at the NLBT Office / Jail to get permission to take pictures of NLBT Architecture-the various Clubs & buildings in NLBT. Someone complained to the NLBT Policia about Toold taking pictures, the NLBT Policia came and escorted him to the NLBT Office / Jail. Toold had to pay a mordida to make the problem go away. I think there had been a shift change and whom ever had given Toold permission to use his camera and take pictures was not working when the complaint was made. The new shift extorted a mordida from Toold.

I plan on taking a trip to NL soon and was going to see if it was worth the trip to boystown or would it be better to stay in the downtown area right now.

The NLBT Policia are basically out of control in extorting mordidas / bribes from Gringos ie planting a knife, drugs etc. Or just outright stealing your dinero / money from you. If the NLBT Policia decide to make a victim out of you and F*ck you over, there ain't shit you can do about it but grin & bear it.
