Thailand the land of smiles. Should be the land of the vertical smile. Was in Bangkok for only about 48 hours. Stayed at Livingstones. Just can't beat Giotto and crew. Great location the Jr Suite with the bath tub for two really improved the performance of the local talent. Just jump into the tub with the jets on. Lots of bubble bath. Champagne

Did go to Eden there had been so many positive reviews and it is a great place to spend an afternoon. Eden should be listed in the 7 sexual wonders in the world. With 18 Spa in Macau.

Cowboy is fun but the good news of the Japanese being in Bangkok is they are paying the talent more. Sol 33 by Livingstones has several little clubs for the Japanese. Picked up a girl on the street on her way to work. Took her for short time and it was so good made a deal to pick her up at 1:00 AM. For the night. The sports bar at Livingstones is always good.

If you are a first timer and interested in go-go bars, you should try Nana Entertainment Plaza (Sukhumvit soi 4) or Soi Cowboy (soi 19). As for avoiding, I suggest avoiding Patpong area (tourist trap). If you don't have a hotel already, try to get one on Sukhumvit - many of them there. You must visit Gullivers on Soi 5 and Beergarden on Soi 7 for freelancers during day time. Also try Bangkok Beat on Soi 7.1 for night time freelancer pick ups. PM me if you want more info. First time in BKK - you will be BEYOND a kid ina candy store.

Actually, Soi Cowboy is located between Sukhumvit Soi 21 and Sukhumvit Soi 23.

I know Chinatown area well, can be hit or miss but has good access to MRT. I also have been to Kampheng phet, night drive to check out the scene.

Outside of Chinatown, what other areas for FL pick ups.

I like Chinatown in that it has a fairly good daytime scene:)

Prefer places near bts/mrt.

I've read about the check bin scam in Deja Vu before and last night it happend to me to. They charge you 2 or 3 times as many lady drinks as you buy and no use in putting up an arguement.

Stay away.

Lumphini Park, on the side of the Suan Lum Night Bazaar. It looked rather sparse on the occasions when I strolled by, and I haven't heard any good reports, just many warnings.

Sanam Luang at night (yes, far from BTS), on the side away from the sketchy pavement market.

Prefer places near bts/mrt.[/QUOTE]I have stayed in the china town area. I've never seen any Freelancers there. Or maybe i am just not aware of how they operate in this area, guess they'll be more ''undercover''. Do u mean the small sidestreets of yaowarat, like the one with texas cafe massage?

What does one have to look out for to spot those Freelancers? and how to approach?
Sorry if these are obvious questions for you veterans, but i don't have much experience with the streetscene. I'd love to indulge in these activities cuz it seems more exciting than the safe mp's and bars.

When I’m in BKK I usually drive by Lumni park many time a day and have never seen any FL outside the park in the daytime though I’ve never gone in. At night however there is a lot of freelance action on the Wireless Rd. side down from the Conrad hotel towards the night market. I’ve never pulled from there but might try my next trip. Just dial-up your LB radar. And the night markets probably very safe.

And then at the far end of Lumpini is the famous Dusit Thani motel. lol.
