Non Girl Friendly Hotels in Chinatown
I thought all hotels in KL were girl friendly?
My (short) experience in Chinatown indicates that there are many hotels here that are not girl friendly.
And when enquiring, the concept is so foreign to some staff, that it takes some effort to tease out the answer.
Although the Excel Inn had no problem checking in a solo person who paid for two guests into a double room, they refused to let a second person up to the room.
I found this both annoying, and amusing, as they have WG almost right outside their front door most of the day.
Moral of the story. Always explicitly ask before accepting the room!
Other hotels I tried had explicit signs stating no guest, but you can't rely on that.
Be careful with Roadside Pimp
Last Sunday when I was walking toward beach club from MC D of Bukit Bintang, I almost got into fight with an OKT (Pimp). When I passed by the bus stop in front of HSBC (Genesis) at around 11pm, he asked me whether I need girl or not. I politely told him I don't need girls from him, he continue to harrass me with his offer forabout 40-50 Meter walking distance. When I told him for the second time "no" he was ready to punch me. I just continue to ignore him and walk away.
Be careful when you walk alone during at night.
