At that time the price in regional mining areas was 100 k for professional girls direct from the brothels. Weekend rates where for a little more, say 120 k, where you collected the girl after work on Friday and dropped her off before work on Monday morning. But you had to feed her. They would tolerate being short changed but all hell would break loose if food was not included!

LT dominated the market but there was an enterprising lass that specialized in taking on all comers for ST in the pickup tray in the car park. I was told it was a package deal of 5 guys for 100 k.

Prices remained at those levels for quite a few years but the ratcheted up and the concept of pump and run was introduced. I remember when everyone was shell shocked when priced moved from 300 k to 500 k. $50 for a nights fun with a BATS looker seemed outrageous!

That's exactly what I said. It makes no sense in taking a girl from Dees back to your hotel for ST at 1 m when you can get a better girl at CJs or Bats for 1. 2 m. Better means just that, prettier (and not just mediocre either). The vast majority of the girls at a place like CJs, IMO, are way better looking than the girls in Dees. Of course every one of us is going to have a different opinion of what constitutes mediocre, pretty, or hot looking. I wouldn't consider giving 1 m to a girl from Blok M unless I got REALLY lucky and found a gem. I don't think that's going to happen there at the Blok.

I agree, in the clubs, sure some girls WANT 2 m. They are not shy to ask for that much. A lot of them think their punanny is worth that much. Then you have those that act sort of stuck up and just tell you a price without even telling you her name first. That's fine by me. If a girl like that doesn't even want to talk, have some conversation and then later consider 1. 2 or 1. 5 max, I just let them be. I sit back, enjoy my beer and talk to the next one I like. Like I said, it depends on you, your negotiating skills, and whether the girl likes you (if she has rent due, etc.). My experience at CJs last year was similar to what I just mentioned above. I was there with Ggekko2009 and we talked to a handful of ladies. Some were cool, some stuck up. Maybe 2 asked straight up for 2 m. The very pretty girl that I took back was sexy, easy-going, and gave me great attention from the time I first spoke to her. We just had beers together, talked, danced, etc. It was actually like a normal hook-up at a bar back home. When it was time to leave, I asked her if she wanted to come with me and I offered her 1 m. Since we hit it off well, she accepted. This girl was no where near mediocre, like some of the others girls there. IMO, she was one of the better looking girls there and she had a great attitude. She even drove us back to the hotel since she had her car parked there. Next day, after the late morning session, I gave her 1m. She asked for some gas money and I thought that was fair considering we didn't pay for a taxi to get back. So I gave her an extra 200 k and she gave me her phone number. That was my experience. Some of the clubs have closed and new ones have opened. So you have to check first. I haven't been there in about a year, so I can't tell you for certain. The clubs I have on my notes are Colosseum 1001, Immigrant, V2, Emperica. All will cost some money. Again, call ahead or look online for recent reviews. If you find any interesting places send up a report. Have fun.

Day 1: Jet lagged after a 20+ hour flight from the USA I skim this forum and Jakarta100 bars to find a massage with extras. I'm staying near the Pondok Indah Mall in South Jakarta. From JK1000 I find Anggrek Spa which is very close.

Anggrek Spa: I walked in and am greeted at the front desk. I order the basic room which was 215,000. I then walk up a flight of stairs and meet a guy with a tablet. They had 10 girls working at 18:00. I picked one and was sent to my small room.

In walks a stunning girl. Big smile on my face. She doesn't speak English and I don't speak Indonesian. So I pull out my phone and type in 400,000 and hand it to her. I spent 2 weeks in Jakarta recently for mongering purposes and visited many places:

1. Malioboro was clearly the nicest brothel which I visited in Jakarta. I went there 5 times. The club has tens and tens of attractive dancers with trimmed bushes and tight bodies dancing naked on the stage and later asking for drinks. I have never seen so many good looking naked young slim girls on a bar stage at the same time in any bar in SE Asia. Amazing. Some of these girls will fuck for 3 M, I did not take anyone up to the rooms. Mostly they seem to do BJ's. Also Malio lounge had nice looking dancers dancing topless but not showing pussy. I found Malio Lounge couch girls were a bit better looking than the ones in Malio Club. But the dancers are hotter downstairs.

2. Alexis. This was the nicest spa I visited in Jakarta (Tuesday). Good selection of girls, both local and imported. Nice and clean facilities. I fucked a pretty Viet girl.

3. King Cross. I visited KC once (Wednesday). Quite nice selection of girls on the couches and sexy dancers both at downstairs and upstairs. Very aggressively asking for ladies drinks. Not as nice place and girls as Malioboro in my opinion. But worth a visit at least once in a lifetime if in Jakarta.

4. Emporium Spa (Thursday). Pretty decent selection of girls and nice facilities. Not as good as Alexis though. One of the mamasans has pictures of some of the girls tits on her mobile phone. This was a new feature for me and I liked it. At least you get an idea of how the girls boobs look like. So many of these girls have padded bras which is misleading for many mongers. I hate them.

5. Tease Club at Emporium. Relatively small strip tease club and annoyingly full at times. Some good looking dancers. I did not ask option to take them to a room or the price.

6. Illegals club. Went there on Wednesday midnight. Empty place with handful of people.

7. Illegals Spa. I visited on a Friday afternoon. Some nice girls but a bit sparse number of hookers available. Good facilities, I would go again.

8. Classic. Visited all 3 levels, Bunker, Level 2 and 5. Not my kind of a place. I did not fuck there. Some good looking girls but aggressive and loud atmosphere. Caters to local guys mostly, I guess.

9. Kota Indah. I checked some of the bars there out of a curiosity. Crap, not much more to say.

10. BATS. Visited 2 times, Friday and Sunday. Not many attractive girls, I took one to my hotel on a Sunday night.

11. CJ's. Also visited twice here, Saturday and Wednesday. Better looking babes on Wednesday. I took one freelancer to my hotel. Not the prettiest face but quite a nice body.

12. Dee's place and Top Gun. Both were pretty quiet on Saturday at 02 am. Not any nice looking girls on the menu.

13. Immigrants. This nightclub was OK on a Friday night. Hottest girls were not pros and not available for a bule. Only a few freelancers around, nothing special.

14. X2 nightclub. This place was packed on a Saturday night. Handful of WG's, the rest were local girls and again no chance unless you are a young and handsome dude (which I am not anymore).

The traffic sucks big time in Jakarta as everyone knows but I managed to visit all the places within 40-50 minutes from my hotel (Grand Hyatt).

On my way back from King Cross the police stopped the taxi and I had to pay 500 K for "The Commander" since I did not have my passport with me. After that night I had my passport in my jeans pocket every fucking night.

I still don't get it why people will pay 1 or even 2 millions roupiah for ST with an average old girl in 1 place while in the same city you can get laid for 350 k with a young and beautiful one in some places that we all know.

Jesus if you use dating sites and have some time to spare you can even get laid for free here!

Never hand it over to someone clearly looking to top up their income for the night. Once they have your passport you will find that there is another problem and the "fine" will rise substantially just so you can get it back. Much better just to pay the $50, book it to the cost of a night's entertainment and move on.

You were unlucky to get stopped at all so don't expect it to happen repeatedly or in return trips.

I think you will find that even if you do keep your passport with you at all times, the police are still likely to ask for money to "help you". The one time I got pulled over by the cops when I did actually have my passport, they still wanted money. They claimed I needed to have gone to the police station and filed a police report upon arrival in the country and asked why the police report was not in my passport. That being said, I've never given as much as 500 k at any time. I've probably been pulled over 20 times in 20 years. Half of those times, they let me off without paying anything even though I did not have a passport. The rest of the times I paid 100 k with the exception of 1 time where I had to pay 300 k. The one time I paid 300 k I was in a Silverbird taxi who had actually broken the law by driving in the busway when that was not allowed. It was not a police blockade, but the cop happened to be behind us on a motorbike. The cop originally wanted money from the taxi driver for his mistake, but once he saw me in the back seat he decided to go for more money. He refused 100 k and was a real ass about it telling me if I could afford a Silverbird, I could afford more than 100 k.

Just so no one gets mislead by false information earlier posted here, the one Sheraton in Jakarta is the Sheraton Gandaria, which is in South Jakarta. It has been open for close to two years.

There is no Sheraton near the airport although there once was.
