Azazel[/QUOTE]I know a very good, super reliable, slow driving Puerto Plata taxi driver with a passenger van who would pick you up for at Santiago US$100 and take you back again when you go home, if you want. Segundo, eight-zero-nine four four six two four zero four or pm me with details and I can arrange for him to make the pick up (if you want) if your Spanish is not good enough.
So excited booked my flight from manchester 19/4/2012 cannot wait, anybody else in sosua on the 19th onwards I would love to meet up and have a drink will have lots of questions for the forum.
In the next month, but I will repay it when I get back with some info of my own.

It's almost like everyone in town thinks your some sucker who is giving away money and word gets around fast. The only people who ever see a tip from me now are the people at the hotel (I usually stay at Sosua Bay resort) afterall they actually take care of my needs, (fridge is always stacked with refreshments, and always plenty of towel). Just be sure to never give money to any of the street beggars, you will spend half your day getting rid of them.

She reminds me of someone there from one of my prior trips, but I can't always be sure because I drink to damn much and everything is always hazy a few months later for me. That's why I love this site, sitting home in NY and always able to catch up with what's going in one of my favorite places.

Especially after I was told on numerous occasions that a lot of the girls don't don't make any kind of salary and are relying on these tips or to be "taken out" Of course I don't tip in proportion like I do in the states but the ladies seem to appreciate anything. A 20 peso coin, a 50 peso bill. It's not going to break my bank and in my mind I'm saying "hey at least she has money for the 3am motoconcho ride home" as mundane as that may be.
