The Shinyoungsan RLD is probably the most convenient RLD in Seoul. Up until recently the place was devoid of foriegners because nobody knew about it. Now, I doubt I would bother since it seems so over-run; It's probably about to become the defacto "Plan C" when people don't get laid in Itaewan on Saturdays. Anyone ever notice how all the RLDs have subway stops?

As far as getting hos, well in my experience the only real variable is money. If you are willing to spend 100,000 then those "row A" girls will bend over for you. Personally, I never thought the "Row A" girls were that interesting. I have had a few "Row B" girls who used to be "A" and found them pretty good as they lost the attitude once they were demoted.

I have not posted on this board in several months as my Seoul trip has been delayed (by years, unfortunately). But, I still see that NY Yankees is still getting overly moral, and we still have the usual obnoxious posters.

I can say without a doubt, that the best time to hit Yongsan RLD is around 5am. All the drunks have left, most of the girls are winding down, and if you go on a Saturday morning or Sunday morning, you can find more A- & B+ girls left from working the night before.

Went on Friday AM, found this cutie on the B row closest to the main street, liked her so much, went back this AM (Sat) and there were even MORE cuties out. Got her at 5:45, and when I left at 6:15, all the cuties were gone. I guess they closed up at 6am. So get out there around 5am guys for some little cuties! If anyone is looking for some Hotel service, check out the English version of the Korean Herald for an ad for Sports Massage. Be careful there are two ads for massage one is associated with nail Service as well. You want the other one, it also mentions 24 hour service. The person who answers the phone speaks some english. The rate was 200,000 KRW but that might have been higher since I was about 25 mins outside of Seoul. The girl arrived on time and was pretty hot. Gave a nice massage and then full service, no questions asked.

This group has been very informative, and enjoyable. Well Friday A.M. around 4:00 i went to Yongsan RLD, lots of cuties some were interested on the B rows found one that looked good, she wanted w180,000. My offer was w60,000. My bargaining skill suck. So went on home.

Later tried a two pole barber, first timer. Again my bargaining skills were not good, they asked w100,000, my counter was w60,000. As far as I know, Finkle Barbershop is still up and running (it was 3 weeks ago) with generally the same service. The quality of girls is down a bit but still one of the best for FS barbershop.

For those of you that have had experiences with Gina, is it the Gina that works from the Rouse? It's on the hill in Itewon. I was there visiting a friend this spring and had a couple of evenings with Gina at the Rouse. 100,000 won for everything but anal. Got bbbj, 69, and F/S covered with no time limit. Visited South Korea on the 16th, met with some friends during the day and asked where to find local talent, I mentioned if they knew other places similar to Miari. They told me to forget those areas unless I wanted to catch something nasty, so they took me somewhere special, a club, unknown to foreigners and known only to some locals.

Expensive? Perhaps, I was invited so I can only assume it was.

I also think possibly you will need to come with a Korean national, as foreigners may well be rejected on their own, but if you do, the place is superb. I can recommend it.

Dude, that place is just another room salon in Kang Nam. Theres probably over 1000 room salons in that area it's all the same. Get a room buy the alcohol the girls talk to you and flirt all night. They cost like 300-700 USD and sometimes more to bring the girl back to the hotel. I never been to one but I heard it ain't nothing special, just stick to RLDs unless you got mad cash to blow.

It sounds like the place you went to is a room salon.

Actually, these places are very well known to locals and there are tons of them in the city. I have heard there are many grades of room salons. They are also known by many names -- Room Salons, Business Clubs, "Dal-Lan-Joo-Jum", etc. The most exclusive clubs (1%) are off-limits to all but the most affluent locals (that's not me!).

There is a Korean site vip24.com that has many articles on these places in addition to "adult" nightlife in Korean including night clubs (where you can get "booked' or some that have ladies to take upstairs to the adjoining hotel), various ways to get to pros including red light districts. Only problem is it's in Korean. In addition to get to most of the stuff you need to register, which requires a Korean SSN.

On a related note, on that site it seems that many of the wilder places in Buk-Chang-Dong (near city hall) have lowered their prices. I have seen specials for 450,000 for 2 people including ladies, 1 setting of drinks. In these clubs, the ladies will at least finish you off with a BJ. Each session, which includes singing, stripping, etc. lasts about 2 hours.

Buk-Chang-Dong is known for the explicitness within the room but often they do not go out for "round 2" early in the evening.

I've been a lurker for some time now, and it's time that I contributed something...

These are my takes on the RLDs of Seoul. Keep in mind, I am Korean and speak Korean fluently. As we are probably all aware, Koreans and non-Koreans do get treated differently at these places, so your individual experiences may differ from mine.

588: The largest of the 3 major RLDs, this area probably, in my opinion, has the hottest looking girls. They are usually dressed in skimpy outfits, often baring their midriffs. This makes it easy to see their figure, although one must keep in mind that they are almost always wearing high heels or platform shoes. Their shoes are often covered by their pants, so I have made it my standard practice to mentally subtract at least 3-4 inches from each girl's apparent height. In my experience, most of the girls in RLDs are around the same height anyway.

588 is also probably the busiest of the three RLDs, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. On the downside, the service is general not as good at 588. Perhaps it's because the girls know they are in high demand, but I've always felt that they have a greater tendency to be clock-watchers.

Miari: Almost as large as 588, Miari is a bit different from the other RLDs in that ah-jum-mas (older Korean women) act as madams. There is a greater tendency for these ah-jum-mas to (forcibly) grab you as you walk through the alleys, in an attempt to get you stand in front of the glass windows and look at the selection of girls. While I don't like the presence of the ah-jum-mas in general, they do allow one to browse the selection without having to deal with the girls directly. (I personally have a harder time rejecting a girl to her face.) The girls at each place are usually dressed in some sort of standardized costume like an evening gown. This, combined with the fact that they are usually presented while sitting down, can make it difficult to determine a girl's figure.

Once a selection is made, you are taken up to a noh-rae-bang (private karaoke room), where you are given a light snack (usually fruit) and refreshments (beer). After a short time of interaction, you can then go to the private rooms for individual fun. Miari has the smallest rooms of the three RLDs. They're basically the size of large closets, just barely big enough to fit a Korean-style mattress on the floor.

According to many on this forum, Miari is probably the most anti-foreigner of the three RLDs. I can't speak from personal experience on this matter, but there certainly on more signs posted saying "No foreigners allowed" than the other two RLDs.

Service of girls at Miari can be hit or miss, but on average is better than 588. My ATF (found on this last trip) is from a place in Miari.

Finally, no cars are allowed in the alleys of Miari. Actually, the alleys are too small for most cars anyway. This can be a positive or a negative, depending on how you look at it.

Yongsan: The smallest of the three RLDs, this place is most similar to 588. The layout of Yongsan is a bit more straight-forward, since the area is smaller and more compact.

The presentation and quality of girls is similar to 588 as well. (No ah-jum-mas here, either.) Similar outfits to 588. Service is often better, at least in my experience. There is usually less clock-watching, and I've always felt that girls at Yongsan are more likely to enjoy the sessions themselves.

Yongsan is more centrally located in Seoul than the other two RLDs. 588 is east of the downtown Seoul area, while Miari is northeast of downtown. Yongsan is much closer to downtown Seoul.

At all three RLDs, the going rate for Koreans is 60,000W. From other reports on this board, there is often a markup for foreigners to 70,000W. This is the "short-time" rate for one pop. Depending on which RLD one is at, the actually time my vary, but is usually 15-20 minutes. One can negotiate for longer sessions, especially at Yongsan and Miari. Prices vary, but I've had 1 hr sessions for 180,000W and 240,000W. With longer sessions, multiple pops are possible. I've found that it's better to tell the girl beforehand that's what I want. Once you've paid them for a longer sessions, service is usually improved and they are more accomodating. In addition, as mentioned in other posts, visiting during non-peak hours tends to result in better rates/service.

Also, education about STDs seems to have improved at RLDs. A year or two ago, girls would ask if I wanted a condom. (My answer was always yes, of course.) Now, it seems to be mandatory. I have also seen signs and banners, apparently put up by government, encouraging the use of condoms to customers.
