I am a resident of Singapore; been to BKK quite a few times. In sgp we have pubs/ktv's most of which have private rooms with sofa's and karokeboxes in which go can sit, drink, eat and "have a horny good time" with one or more girls.
Now I was looking for pubs with these concept in BKK but until now didnot find one. The one that comes closest is the Strip-bar in Patpong II but this one closed a few months ago.
(I know the Japanese have their fair share of clubs in BKK but I am not a Japanese.)
I stated under the Nana Liquid Encounter report that I want to avoid paying a large amount of money for Go-Go girls. Between Bar fine and Lady Drinks, a long time encounter could easily reach 5000 Baht. You can do much better; unless you have the attitude of “have to have the girl”. Then all bets are off! You pay, enjoy her and forget about it. For my part, I will leave the Go-Gos for the “1-2-3” guys. (For the newbie that means Japanese).
I normally spent about 2-3 nights at a time in Bangkok. This time I happened to spend 4 nights in Bangkok and 4 nights in Pataya. So here is my suggested road map for night time actions in Bangkok:
1. Start around midnight at some Go-Gos, if you want to see naked girls dancing. Limit yourself to just one drink in each bar, otherwise costs pile up. I don’t drink hard liquor. So I am always alert and know what I am doing.
2. Around 12:45 AM stop by Thermae. There is a racket going on here. Girls are asking 2000 Baht for short time. Outrageous! I know a girl who start at Beer Garden (1000 Baht) and end up in Therame at night (2000 Baht). Offer maximum 1000 B short time and 1500 Baht long time. If they are stubborn, just leave. There are plenty of fish in the pond. Last year, I took a 20 year old college girl for 1500 Baht long time and had a wonderful time.
3. At this point it is about 1 AM. Now, next recommendations are for mongers who are staying at President Group of hotels. Otherwise you cannot visit Q-Bar or Bed and Supper club, since both venues charges 800 Baht entrance fee. I normally stay at President Palace hotel. These two bars are a few hundred feet from the hotel. Show them your room key and copy of the passport. You get in free.
From 1 AM to 2 AM spend in either one of these clubs or visit both clubs separately on two different nights. There are plenty of quality free lancers who will be happy to go with you for 2000 Baht long time. Last year, I had problem getting rid of the girl from the Bed and Supper club. She did not want to leave even at 2 PM. Anyway, both clubs are happening places, especially on Thursday and Friday nights. Even if you don’t pick up anybody, you enjoy the time with great music and fine atmosphere. May be you could get some numbers from the girls for future encounters.
4. It is 2 AM now, both clubs are closed. Go-Gos are closed. Now is the time to hit Nana Liquid. I like to start here because there is no admission fee and as such you have nothing to lose by checking out the place first. By the way, while entering Nana Liquid, you can also check out the Nana parking lot. Chances are except lady boys, you won’t find any quality bird.
5. It is 3 AM now. You spend an hour in Nana Liquid hoping to find the love of your life. But you are still alone. Cut your losses and head for Climax located in the basement of the Ambassador Hotel at Soi 11. Pay 200 Baht entrance fee and enter the club as a roman conqueror. This is your last stop for the night. Time is running out. If by 4 AM you still did not find an acceptable girl, then something is wrong with you! Either you are too picky or quite inept in dealing with girls. Anyway, there is always tomorrow.
6. Have a good night sleep and visit Mango Massage around 1 PM and have a session with anyone of the available girls. Don’t have to worry about the price. 800 Baht for 2 hour oil massage and 1500 Baht to the girl for showing you the time of your life. If you are a generous person and still reeling from the experience, you can tip a few hundred Baht to the lovely lady who may still trying to swallow the last few drops of your juice. They won’t refuse it. They might even remember your name when you visit the place next time. Then if you have some energy left, you can do a soapy in the evening, have a drink at Beer Garden and start the night time cycle again as detailed above.

PS: I know I have left many other possible venues, like CM2, Spasso and other high end clubs. I took girls from all these clubs in the past and it cost me around 4000 Baht long time. And I am a good negotiator. The above suggestions are for mongers who want to have quality time with modest spending.
One other note of caution: Don’t go for Russians at Bangkok. Get them at Moscow or St. Petersburg, like I did. You will have a time of your life. The Russians at Bangkok are pure suckers play! They will finish you up in 15 Minutes and you are out 2300 Baht! Forget about any GFE! Come to think about it, it comes out to be 9200 Baht an hour!! I may be exaggerating, but my friends, I am not far from the truth. You are in Thailand. Get Thai girls and enjoy your time!

When we talk about Nana Liquid, Climax etc ie club free lancers, are you talking about professional freelancers or are they students etc who do this once in a while for extra pocket money? What do you think is the ratio in % between pros and amateurs? Just curious.
I would be into the whole club freelancer thing too, but 2 things hold me up:
1. They are not tested like in the Gogo bars
2. I was flirting heavily with a girl last time and didn't end up taking her home for logistical reasons; later my friend met her again, and guess was, she was a post-op ladyboy. Neither I nor my friend (who lives in BKK and is not bad at identifying them usually) had a clue.

But I went to LOS to taste few russians (traveling to Moscow and cost of girls there is beyond my valet size). I shud say you are partially correct, but I did manage to find some true GFE there. Cost wise they are more expensive than thai girls, but for a variety (I had plenty of thai chics from soapies), I went clubbling and picked them from hotspots.

Can someone help in giving me directions to getting to Impact Arena? from one of the bus station and approximately how far and what is the best method Taxi, or can one walk from one of the BTS stations?

The Impact Area is located close to the [b]OLD[/b] airport. I would recommend to take a taxi. Here some more infos from a website:
