I can understand airports giving a worse rate. For what it's worth last night Swampy was giving about 45.8 to the pound, while I can get 47something today in town. I can live with that as the alternative was spending the weekend in the Arrivals Hall. :(

Bangkok day number 3!
I will finish my Bangkok updates on this day, as I was down on the fourth night that my second day girl was busy on the final night, and I couldn't play with her again.
Alrighty, I was planning on just walking down Sukhumvit Soi 33 near the hotel and try a few spots that Giotto pointed out, but as I walked down into the area, I saw Giotto, the misses, and his friend finishing their meal and having a beer. We had a drink out at Giotto's table, and then headed into the Sports Bar so I could be beaten at pool some more. A few beers, laughs, and crushing defeats later, I was talking to what would turn into my third girl of the trip.
She was another girl from the Isan area(I think), except her features are very Vietnamese, and her skin tone was quite light. She said her father is a teacher or something, and her english was pretty good. Of course, I think she has been in Bangkok for about three years, if I recall correctly.
Anywho, the girls at the Sports bar started playing Khalabao (local thai band. That is surprisingly good) and all the girls started to get really fired up. So, I ended up, much to the delight of the bargirls, dancing with this girl for a while (which I don't like to do, but apparently am not too bad at it).

Walking from Sukhumvit in Soi 4 get passed the nana car park on your right, pass the pub (or two) and on your right you will see the entrance of a covered car park on the left and the Nana Liquid entrance on its right. You cant miss it, but it is some 20mtr inside off Soi 4.

How many times do they have to see me, to know I have 0.00% interest in them..I do not look at them, stop near them, say hello,etc.

Just got back to the cold weather of Canada from my fifth trip to LOS. Like my other trips most of my time was spent at Livingstone's Lodge on Soi 33. In my opinion this hotel is great for single travellers. It is a great location with easy excess to Skytrain but also a nice walk to Nana or Soi Cowboy and everything in between. I stay at alot of hotels for my work and in my opinion the service at Livingstone's is superb. The service staff do not nag you to get out of bed so they can clean your room. They seem to be always available to do your room when you and your guest do finally rise. For anybody that has been to LOS on vacation as you know it is sometimes hard to get out of bed at a decent hour and with the beds at Livingstone’s being so comfortable unlike most hotels in Asia it is even harder. I find the beds in other hotels there are usually hard as a rock. Livingstone's does spend money and make quality matresses available to you for a good nights sleep if you do sleep. When you do get up no matter what the hour is breakfast is always available with a big smile. Anybody that has been to Livingstone's knows that the most impressive thing about this hotel is the owner Mr. Giotto himself. He is available at just about any hour of the day for a chat or to answer any questions you need answered. He is definately sincere with his answers and is genuine in making sure you have a great trip to Los. I also have to mention that the food at the restauraunt is as good or better than most restauraunts that i have eaten at. The manager Guido takes a keen interest in the quality of food and service that you are recieving there.
I was one of the foursome that took part in the late night tour along with a couple of great guys that I met at the lodge. The non- english speaking Irishman , the American , myself the Canadian and and of course our leader Mr.Giotto. This was probably the best group of genuinely great people to do this tour with. All different people with different backgrounds but all great guys. It seems like every trip to Livingstones i meet some great new guys to hang out with. It had been a couple of years since I had been on one of these tours with Giotto and I had forgot how much fun it was. It all started at Soi Cowboy with the show at Suzie Wongs and I was not impressed . Maybe because I had seen it a few times before. Shark Bar was ok but most of the girls looked a little too young for me. The girls at Five Star seemed to be on the top end and a little too old for me but I thought the band was good. This is more of a place that you would be better off finding a girl elsewhere and taking her there to wind down the night. Next we were off for my first visit to Thermae and I found this place oddly interesting. Lots of Japanese and in my opinion a few very sexy looking chicks. I did not however get a good vibe there. It seemed like the better looking girls were only available to the Japanese. One drink and we were off. What I can say good about Bangkok Beat was that when we first got there the band was on stage and they were probably one of the best bands I had heard in a long time. Maybe it was the vast amounts of liquor I had gargled or maybe they really were. I will have to wait a few months to find out. After having the great service at Livingstone’s I could not believe they wanted us to pay for the beer that had the broken glass in it. I just cannot fathom why they would not at least give the poor Irishman a complimentary beer. Even in the West they would do that for christ’s sake. Anyway we left soon after. I will go back when I return and check out the band but I am pretty sure the easy going Irishman will not return and that is too bad.
The beergarden was not too impressive at around midnight. Did not even stay for a beer. I think it is much better during the daytime and we should scratch it from future nightime tours. What do you boys think. The expensive wine in the Foodland in the Arab district was interesting. Not a place you would think would keep wines that are between 50,000 -100,000 baht price range. Giotto took us for food in the Arab district at a restaurant called Neferetiti. Not something I would have done on my own but some of the food was great but a few things were not to my liking. I will definitely return and try again. Our next stop was Nana Plaza parking lot at closing. We had a drink at the corner bar and watched the show. Not real busy as in the past and in my opinion not a lot of good looking girls this visit but the usual high number of ladyboys were still present. Our final stop for the evening was Climax. Like my previous visits there were lots of available girls of all different ages ,shapes and sizes. Hard to chose. Did the usual few tours around the floor. It was too hard to pick although there was lots of choices available. When we finally settled back by the bar there was a slightly older gal by herself. Our leader thought that there was something about her that she would probably provide great service. I was drunk and sort of tired of looking by then so I said what the f***. I bought her a drink and she in turn bought me 3 drinks. First time for me that a girl bought me drinks in LOS. Turns out the girl had a great job in the business district somewhere. Turns out Giotto was right. It was by far my best night of this trip. She was exceptional in and out of the bed. This is long enough trip report but I have to say that anyone that wants a great hotel with A+ staff and service that Livingstone’s is the hotel for you. Try just one night and you will be more than impressed and I guarantee that you will stay or return again. By the way something I didn’t mention much in this report is that there are some very sweet sexy girls at the Sports bar at Livingstones also and I spent a few night there also and enjoyed every moment there also . There just seems to be too much to see and do in Bangkok and I guess that is why the lucky guys like myself have to and can return each year to paradise. See ya in a few long months.
