While there's still some ambiguity, with Manhattan's back on the circuit and new saunas opening, it appears things are normalizing somewhat.

Thought I would share a report of a visit to Shanghai the 12-16th. I read a lot of the forums and while not my first time to China, but it has been a long time. Shanghai has gotten really expensive for Mongering since my last visit. Also about the only action I found was at Judys. Lots of great looking Viets, but not cheap. First night in, and I wanted to get something quick so I ended up with a great looking Viet girl for 2000, after trying a few at 1000 then a few at 1200-1400 no takers for the lookers (I'm not terrible, tall 53 all my hair and very fit). As soon as we got to the room she was up for more money, and I told her No she was supposed to stay for 2 hours, but after one pop she was done. Went back a couple of nights later and pulled a Russian speaking Mongolian for 1400, she was tall with fake blonde hair and some euro in her, by far not the best in there but I thought she might give me a good ride, nope, same routine. I know I need to work on my mongering game for China and am open for suggestions. Wandering around Shanghai very few independents (I think 2 the whole trip) approached, but more touts than I ever remember. Long and the short of it, Shanghai is not a value stop for Mongering. In NYC you can get top shelf stuff off of seeking arrangement for 300 as a point of reference.

Other problem I ran into was cabs. First night it was easy, second night, a little later perhaps 2 am? It was a walk to the mainstreet and hunt for 20 minutes. I also even though I had Google maps running got taken on most of my Chinese cab trips.

Anyway, thought I would share my experiences.

Like most of you, I too have been looking at the message boards and signs for things returning back to normal. I decided to check things out for myself and was disappointed to report that things are not nearly the same.

It was relatively easy to find and the guy came to the street to pick me up. We went into the room that was laid out like a tea tasting shop to make the choice. Most of the good looking girls dashed out the moment they noticed a foreigner! Just a quick glance and they disappeared! Didn't quite understand why they appeared scared?

A couple unattractive ones (5-6) come to face me. The one an only attractive one with big boobs stood right in front of me and kept saying "lets go?

The agent told me that her price was a whopping 2500! She was a W and not on the regular menu.

Having been a victim of the long drought in Shanghai, I decided to go ahead. I also felt a little cornered and interested by the fact that she very attractive and seemed pretty keen.

You might have just been unlucky. 2000 is LT (and even on the high end). Shanghai is not a budget monger's paradise, that's certainly true, but when the saunas are working you can get a 9 for US200. That would be hard to pull in NYC.

The few non legit MPs that are opened are doing so at their own risk and are doing so low profile (external lights off and such) and can be closed any time.

A boss whos been in changning for 8 years told me yesterday she's turning her shop to normal massage after being closed since August and only opening for old time customers through the back door.

Another shop in the same street has advertisement for a legit massage chain to be reopened soon. Not far from there I saw a sauna being turned to a gym place.

Same thing goes in Changning Road, Gubei, Yili Road, Hongu Rd, etc. Maybe other places on the border of other districts have it better but most of Changning district is still shut down / opening low profile on the MP side.

I continue to have good luck with the Zhonghua sauna mentioned in earlier posts.

It's now been in operation 2+ months, so it's raising out of the ashes of the most recent crackdown. Not cheap and not the most luxurious facility. However, great location near the Bund and girls solid 7-9. I paid 1,700 today for a very hot 22 year old.

I'll gradually venture into some of the newly opened saunas as I see favorable reports in Chinese as well as this site.

I see 10 saunas being advertised lately. Its less than before the August raids (30+ places) but still not little (last month only 3 places were advertised).

This is kind of a PSA / cross post regarding Colombian girls working in China. I just finished a trip to Medellin Colombia and thought I'd pop back here to give my perspective. Before going to Medellin, my only experience with South American ladies was from Manhattan. The last time I pulled one from there was back in late 2014 and I believe they charged 1500-2000 at that time for ST, depending on your negotiation skills. The price does not include BBBJ.
