How to obtain Sentri card?
Hey ScatManDoo,
Do you have a Sentri Card? How do you get approved for one?
Your passport card will work well.
The Mexican officials at the San Ysidro pedestrian border crossing accept it just like a passport. Even better, they cannot stamp a passport card (like they sometimes do to passports).
And the passport card qualifies you to re-enter the USA using the ready lane, which often is quicker than the regular / general pedestrian lane.
Sentri cards allow for even faster re-entry into the United States, but they are not accepted by Mexican officials when entering Mexico.
La Zona Norte, Tijuana, Mexico Christmas preparation 2015
La Zona decked out lots of decoration in preparation for Christmas 2015. Check out this google link of my own pics for Christmas 2015.

There is no law against taking pictures in La Zona. Just don't brazenly violate people's needs to protect their privacy in La Zona Roja.
I took lots of pictures inside and outside the clubs, was not hassled by anyone. The street girls are averse to their portraits taken in La Zona, so don't press your camera against the poor girls faces. They feel bad enough having to hang out in the street. But taking general pictures of the alley with them in the view is OK like I did here. Nobody got mad at me as they figured I was not aiming specifically at them, and they could not be recognized.
A few good-looking civie girls near La Zona were laughing and flashing peace sign as I took their pictures. I should have picked one up for a "meaningful" relationship. With the girls' happy spirit, I will pick up one up in my next visit.
Around the favorite taco stand on Ninos Heroes there was a bunch of really tough guys hanging out, eating with the mariachi singing with his guitar in the background. They did not object to my taking pictures.
There was heavy presence of policia municipal on and around Calle Coahuila Thursday night with 4 tow trucks parked in front of the OXXO across from Adelita. They were out ticketing and towing lots of cars. My wingman texted me that policia was towing lots of cars, even those with rear windows tinted. I stopped in the middle of the intersection to take a few pics of the towing, waved a Hi to a couple policas. They were friendly but professional. Looks like tourists are warmly welcomed in La Zona by the policias and the pretty chicas.
La Zona in Tijuana really got into the Christmas spirit. Enjoy the pics.
I drove in and out of La Zona. There were lots of streets dugged up and blocked in that area. Policia had a couple road blocks on Calle Coahuila, looking into each car. I was afraid of being hassled, but they just looked at me and waved me through.
Damn, I am moved by the people's warm and happy spirit of Christmas La Zona.
