Finally, a plan is taking shape
I've taken the 7 days at the place in BC off my schedule. I don't expect to be closer to BC than the airport. Last night I got some commitment from a non pro in San Pedro de Macoris. She's originally from SD and is going to meet me there on April 21 and stay until April 25. I booked the days at Hotel Conde de Peñalba. I'll be on El Conde if she flakes on me or doesn't make the cut, and if she shows I'll have a tour guide. Face is an 8, 9 once the braces come off. Body is a 7 to 8. Seems like she's just bored and looking for a bit of excitement.
After that I'm off to Santiago for 2 or 3 days. I have another who is either a nympho or semi pro lined up there. That might work into a 3 way, but haven't worked the details out yet.
From Santiago, I'm heading to Sosua for a few days. Probably get there April 28.
Thanks to everyone for all the different advice. Maybe I can do this without screwing up.
Camaro's synopsis on Santo Domingo April 2015
Camaro's synopsis on Santo Domingo April 2015.
I have recently returned from a 2 day excursion to Santo Domingo from the north coast. Now that I live in the Dominican Republic my objective is to explore as much of the Island as possible and one of the greatest places to experience Dominican culture is in La Capital.
I have attached my notes for your review.
The Dominican Republic is on Small Island but its big country.
My intention this year was to travel to Cuba it is one of the major Latin American countries I have not visited. Although I have travelled extensively throughout the Dominican Republic from the white sandy beaches of Punta Cana to the mountains of Jarabacoa there is so much more to see from Higuey to Semana therefore I will concentrate the rest of this year to exploring the Dominican Republic and possibly travel to Cuba next year.
E-Mongering.
I didn't work the internet hard this trip but I had a Facebook and Dominican Cupid contact that were going to be the focus of my trip. The Facebook chica flaked on me but I made a good connection with the Dominican Cupid chica.
The largest concentration of women on the Dominican dating web sites are from Santo Domingo therefore there is much hunting a hunter can do.
Gran Hotel Reina Ysabel –El Conde why Esquina Calle Espaillat.
This is a 2 star hotel at best its location is obscure but can be found at the corner of El Conde and Calle Espaillat. You go through a wood door and walk up 2 flights of steps and have to be buzzed in by the receptionist. I hope you speak Spanish because she speaks no English.
The room is old and worn with only 1 towel despite the fact I booked for 2. The walls were stained and the bed felt like I was sitting on a board and springs. There was a safe with key and the cable worked well but the little 18 inch flat screen TV could hardly be seen.
There were only (2) 3 prong electrical outlets I could use for my laptop that were next to the refrigerator. The WIFI was intermittent.
The highlight of the room is the balcony that gives you a view of El Conde.
Dominican efficiency.
I arrived at Carribe Tours in Santo Domingo and took a taxi to the hotel. The taxi driver didn't know exactly where it was. The taxi supervisor quoted me 250 pesos but when I arrived at El Conde the taxista asked for 200 pesos. The entrance to the hotel is obscured so I couldn't find it. I walked to the corner and asked the CESTUR officer where it was and he did not know. Really the tourist police doesn't know where a tourist hotel is REALLY?
He flagged a taxista down at the corner and the taxista said he knew where it was. I asked "cuanto es?" he said "250 pesos" I walked away from him and in 2 minutes I found the hotel which was right behing where the first taxista dropped me off.
Dama Imperial Restaurant.
The Dama Imperial Restaurant is downstairs from the Gran Hotel Reina Ysabel. You can sit inside or outside on Calle El Conde. The music was contemporary rock and the breeze on El Conde was very comfortable. It was late in the evening when I ate so some of my menu selections were unavailable. I had my favorite mero a la plancha with a nice garlic sauce. It was light and not filling but tasty.
My waitress wasn't the nicest person in the world but over all I would return since the food was and the location were decent.
Cosmo Centro El Calle El Conde.
I was supposed to have a date later on in the evening so I decided to get a haircut and a shave. I walked by Cosmo Centro on El Conde a few steps from Gran Hotel Reina Ysabel. I asked for a cut and a shave I asked "cuanto es?" he responds "500 pesos" I respond "no yo pago 300 pesos en Puerto Plata" (I pay $20.00 in the States for a haircut and shave) he frowns with an ugly face and says "tah bien".
I get the cut and shave then he starts putting some stuff on my face and massaging my face I must admit it was feeling good but while the treatment was on my face I saw him writing something down so I asked "va cobrame por este?" "then he says "tu cara es sucio" and I said "pero solo pido por un cotar why avieatarse!" then he says "tanquillo" and puts a mask on me.
After about 5 minutes with this mask on I know this is not going to end well. I said "oye tengo un cita!" he hurries and cleans me up. Then he presents me a bill for 1500 pesos. I said "no pido por este!" "si va dar mas servico tu nesista preguntar el cliente" he goes on in Spanish "blah blah blah!
I said "llamar la polica!" Then a lady comes over I guess she is the boss and says I have to pay! I raised my voice again and said "llamar la policía!" The she looks and me and said "no necisita la policia page lo que quieres" I gave her 400 pesos and walked out.
* The funny thing about this episode is my face feels and looks better.
Anyways if you're on Calle Conde in Santo Domingo beware of the up sell.
Rumba Bar & Café Calle 27 Febero.
Guess who whatsapp's me when I am with Ms San Cristobal? Yes it's Santo Domingo Chica#1. So I told her give me a couple of hours since I knew I was on the long game with MSC and I wouldn't be smashing. Again she gives me another lame excuse so it's time to hang with the fellas.
Rumba Bar & Café is a nice spot although it's pretty small inside. There is a stage for live entertainment, my understanding Omega was there recently. There is a bar and DJ booth where the DJ plays American and Latin music. I understand there is a kitchen however I did not eat anything so I cannot speak to the menu. The walls were covered with mirrors and flat screen TVs.
There are waitresses and hostesses. Their job is to hustle drinks and it's a pretty good business model. I was a drinker I would have spent a little more money than buying a container of fruit punch. If a hostess sits with you you are supposed to buy her drinks and give her a propina at the end of your time together. I believe they get commissions off the drinks but I do not know how much. The chicas are not straight PFP and there is no salida however my understanding is they are available after work or another time for those clients they want to spend time with.
I enjoyed the spot. There was no pressure just a laid back atmosphere with some eye candy. It was no hooters but close. Some of the women wore shorts and t-shirts and some wore regular street clothes. There was about 2 8's in a group of a dozen but my understanding it was a slow night.
Over all it was a nice spot especially for someone who likes to drink however your tab can add up quite quickly as the chicas are encouraging you to drink.
Oasis Bar on Calle Dr Baez down the street from the Presidential Palace (5 minutes from Calle El Conde).
If you don't know where this place is you will never find it. It's in a non-descript building with no signage. You walk down 2 flights of steps and walk into a club with a dance floor a bar stripper pole and several couches around the walls.
This is a casa de cita with a few rooms but I am not sure how many. The ladies come out and surround you just like Crystals in Puerto Plata and the talent is just as good if not better. All the women I saw we 7's quite a few 8's. I mean some real model looking chicas and of course there was some plastic in the house.
The prices quoted were all over the place and I got the impression at one point the chicas were freelancers. I got 4 k take out for 2 hours. 5 K in house with a room for 2 hours but one chica said 1 leche unless there was a propina. Then one said 8 k for TLN outside in your hotel with 2 leches. The price structure made no sense.
I talked to the hefe and he stayed between 3 k and 3. 5 k for 2 hours with the chica. I didn't care too much for the spot or the vacillating prices but the women were absolutely gorgeous! If you do your business there are taxis waiting outside and the spot is about 5 minutes from Calle El Conde but I have no idea where it Is exactly.
Closing thoughts Santo Domingo.
The purpose of my trip was to break my monotony of Sosua and try something different. I do not particularly care for large cities since I have lived in them for most of my life I would like something different in retirement. I have been to Santo Domingo before and I did not care for it because of a feeling of being out of place when I am there. If I had a choice I would choose Santiago over Santo Domingo not just because it is closer to the north coast but I feel more comfortable there.
Despite my disinterest Santo Domingo is rich in opportunities for diversity therefore I can see making multiple trips to experience what it has to offer. Below I have listed some of my observations of Santo Domingo:
•Taxistas see you as their next meal and they will try to take advantage of you. Always be clear about what you want where you want to go and how much it is going to cost. If you have a trusted driver or drivers that is even better.
•Calle El Conde is a great place to eat, window shop and overall take in the sites but it is a tourist trap and there are plenty of people who are waiting to upsell you and try to take advantage of the unsuspecting tourist. As always if you engage in any services negotiate the service and the price up front.
•Since Santo Domingo has the greatest populous of people it has the greatest concentration of women all shapes colors and sizes therefore it is worthy of my attention.
There are plenty of PFP options in Santo Domingo and I sampled a couple but one of my objectives for this excursion was to investigate some civilian non pro opportunities. I find civilian non pros much more work than straight PFP but more emotionally rewarding. One of my civilian prospects flaked on me however the other came through and I had a great time with her therefore I am looking forward to seeing her in the future.
I look forward to returning to Santo Domingo to see what else it has to offer.
No one does it better Camaro
I always enjoy your reports and it has been a while. I like SD but I always invite chicas to meet me there. The casaa are priced all over the place but the better places are expensive. Two or three times the price you pay in Sosua for same quality. El Conde is a tourist trap but some times you have to be what you are. I enjoy walking the street there and I have met some decent SWs there. Riena Isabella is not the most luxorius place in the world but for $35 a night it met my requirements very well. You can pay twice that amount for the same quality on El Conde. Every room is different.
I have written about the barber shop scam. They do it so often that they are surprised when they are pulled up. I have had one guy locked up by the tourista police and the other I walked out on. SD has some of the nicest malls I have ever seen. If you have chica to walk around with you, will enjoy the sites immensely. Once you learn the ropes a bit SD is big fun. I have some Dominican male friends who I can go clubbing with. This is a different experience.
For the first time I got a great price for a flight to Puerto Plata $511 RT. AS life would be I have three hot babes waiting in SD and two will not go to Sosua. The trifecta non pro, semi pro and a pro. I am debating catching the bus to SD for 2 days but not sure. If you take your time you can find what ever you want in Sosua.
