Dubai Reports

Adding to the on going. The norm here is if the car you are driving is involved in an accident and involves injury to persons inside or outside your car, you will be carted off to jail first. Sober or not! Then depending on the seriousness of the injuries and your innosence in the matter you would be released. By innosence the only time you could be declared not at fault and not jailed would be if you were rear ended with resluting injuries to pax in that car. Thats a bit about the driving.

As per law unmarried couples cannot live or even spend a night in the same apartment, so if you took a WG home and a complaint was made to the cops, no matter how much you could try to explain ie: friend / relative etc etc. You are foul of the law and would be charged. HOWEVER being of the caucasian race you would stand a chance of being let off with a warning unless a crime was involved.

By this it is less of a risk taking a WG to a hotel.

Always remember that its the law of the land (sharia law) that is applied and ignorance of the law is not an excuse, as in any country.

I ended my recent Dubai trip on a happy note.

Went back to Jules Bar about 2300 on Sunday.

There were about 20 to 30 WG, mostly Asian with some CIS as well. The WGs outnumbered the males.

I did my usual pickup routine there, just stood there and made eye contact with a few girls. A plump PRC came on to me but I passed and then came a nice slim PRC with killer looks in a tight white short dress. We agreed on 700 AED for short time and went back to the room. ST became LT for another 500 AED. Above average GFE with BJ etc and finished up with shower afterwards before I had to leave for an early flight.

Great service but she was going to head back to China in a couple days so if you want her, hurry.

This is just not correct, yes it may, technically be a law, but in 6 years living here, I have never heard of anyone busted for simply being in an apartment with an unmarried person of the opposite sex, unless there were other circumstances surrounding the situation, some kind of a crime or disturbance, and then this gets tacked on to the charge. (Assuming you are not a Muslim)

At most, if someone complained, and they came to the apartment, if you were dressed answering the door, they might check the girls papers and she might have a problem but in Dubai, I don't believe the male would as I have never heard of this being a problem in 6 years here. (Unless there was another crime or disturbance.)

However Dubai has developed to the stage where if they clamp down on the vice the economy will just dry up. It is alllowed to happen! Don't for one moment think the LE don't know what goes on. Its a necessary evil for them, but they keep tabs to ensure it doesn't get out of control.

One of those where the law is on the books, as Snow1998 states, but, as Krypto Knight states, not enforced UNLESS you give them some reason to.

I always felt safer having [i]guests[/i] in my condo rather than a hotel, given the complex was mostly "western", and I didn't expect trouble from the Nigerian "village" that had taken up residence in the condo next door. Also had my own entrance, which was nice. And I made sure to tip the resident caretaker a couple hundred dhs for Eid. It really all depends who your neighbors are, and how discreet you are. Most have a live and let live attitude, unless you give them reason not to.

So there may be even a monetary interest by the rulers that this is being "tolerated".

Came across ISG a few days ago and wish I had found it a long time back. Anyway, went to Dubai for 4-5 nights in Nov of 2010 with a buddy for partying and freebies but ended up mongering for a night, so thought I would report it even though it is pretty outdated. Well 3 nights after drinking and partying and no freebies, decided to hit Moscow as this was the only spot for mongering we knew. Reached just before closing time and were really trashed so went back empty handed. Came back on 4th nightataround midnight. Paid 100 AED, scanned the place for a minute or two and before I knew it, my buddy was talking to this Hot WG who looked like she has been in the game for a while. He and WG agreed for a price of 1500 AED per girl without discussing any details I. E time, deeds covered etc. And WG hooked us 2 of her friends instantly. Within 10-15 minutes of hitting the club, we were in the cab with 2 WGs, both from moldova. One was a 20ish stunner blond whose name was Mieke and another one was a shy lookin brunette. Both has the girl next door kinda look which is how I like them. Well we reached our hotel (address downtown) and the security guards by the elevator asked for girls original passport but they were carryin copies only. So got into another cab to look for a hotel with more liberal policy. Due to no mongering exp, we did not of any green hotels and asked the driver to take us to one. So it's every travel agency issuing visas. PLUS all the associated things: phones, sim cards, phone cards, entrance fees to clubs, apartments (who else will rent the crap apartments) , furnishings, taxis, food, etc., etc. The MP's... It's a whole industry. And, with the local owners being "hands-off", provides plausible deniability. They just open up another one if one business gets closed.

With the PTB back home also in on the deal, discourages [i]employees[/i] from bolting to another company; there will be repercussions.

Some say yes, some say no. Advantages: wide selection of nationalities. Disadvantages: expensive. My take: as I've said before, if you have a REASON to be here (work, business meeting, conference, layover) , then dxb has some nice FRINGE benefits. So I am guessing WGs are less worn out and provide better service on average. In terms of pricing, if you can pick up a WG in Dubai for 1500 AED even for 3-4 hours if not for the entire night, that turns out to be 100-120 euros on hourly basis which about same as many places in Europe. However, in Europe, you can do multiple sessions with different WGs for that much money which is certainly an advantage for monger in Europe.

I had another newbie question : Should you pay entire amount agreed upon before the session or should you pay some amount before hand and leave the balance on table for her to collect it later or should you try and pay the entire amount after the agreed upon time?

I guess seniors like you are justified in doing that because most newbies like me tend to just ask for information without taking the pain to read the thread. Anyway, I will try and go through a few pages of the thread and hopefully will be able to find answer to question I put up in my last post.
