Based on my experience and reading the forums I am choosing Pattaya over Jakarta. To be fair I have not been to Pattaya and I'm making my virgin trip there in February. I have been going to Indonesia for over 15 years. My main motivation for the Pattaya trip is the openness of sex in Thailand particularly Pattaya. In Indonesia the mongering scene is definitely there but you don't get the GoGos or beer bars where nudity or near nudity is seen or BJs and fondling done so openly. I will know more in February obviously. To be fair, I have only been to Pattaya once and been to Jakarta many times.

All these bar fine and lady drinks can add up to the cost of your encounters very quickly. In the end, you are not guaranteed to get the girl that you can really enjoy having sex with. I find my inability to communicate in Thai a hindrance to having a good time in Pattaya.
