I would never pay her up front for a dumb ugly fucking whoore with bad attitudes. I threatened to call the police. Long arguments ensued which the tour guide was not helping. The fucking pimp finally settled for half the bill for the worthless snacks that his *****s spoiled.

I just gave the asshole the money and got out of the shithole. The Vietnamese has to be the least honest people in all Asia if not the whole world. Fuck the Vietnamese KTV assholes and their ugly *****s who cheat their customers.

I would never come back to Vietnam to deal with these assholes. The Chinese KTV's civilized manners and fairness make the Vietnamese look like stupid fucking savages. These Vietnamese are the stupidest and rudest assholes that all should avoid.[/QUOTE]

I am in HCMC right now and am looking to see if anyone wants to meet up for coffee, beer or whatever. I am going to move to another hotel tomorrow. I just grabbed a place because I was tired as hell from 2+ days of no sleep and the bus ride from PP to HCMC. He is a senior and should know better. I agree that he should'nt slag of Vietnam and the scene here, but at the same time, it's a free lesson for all of us. At least, now we know more about these places and can avoid them. Someone had to 'take one' for the team and OWl certainly did.

Although alot can be said about OWL's experiences, I think it also depends alot on which country and which tour group (as he had a tour guide) was used.
I've used tour groups in the past when I travel with several friends (just more convenient for group booking) in other countries and always knew the tour guide taking just us guys out at nite (leaving the rest of the tour group in the hotel) would make a commission wherever he took us. So he's getting paid extra for showing us a good time. Had one similar incidence at a KTV style place (in another country) trying to scam us but the difference was that the guide intervene and negotiated a fair price before it got out of hand. It was smart business on his part as he knew we could all tell the rest of the people in our tour group what happened , giving him a bad rap. and also complain to the tour company (where he could lose his nice commission job).
OWL's guide was an ass as he did nothing and didnt take care of his client. Since he was there, he could easily negotiated a fair settlement. Being the paid guide meant he also takes some blame as he didnt protect his client.--But then this is Vietnam and I had much better guides elsewhere (my experience: the bigger the tour company, the better the guides)---IMO

Everywhere you go in Vietnam, there are people trying to scam, short change or rip you off. Mongers will be lied to then robbed or ripped off.

In contrast, people in China, Thailand, Cambodia generally will do what they agree to do. I have never been ripped off in those countries. I had all good times and pleasant experiences outside of Vietnam. So use your judgement.

A few of the guys in this threads have been acting like stupid assholes, defending the crooks without facts. I will report them so Jackson can ban their ignorant asses.

Vietnam's KTV will lie that they have many rooms upstairs for fuck and ask you to have a drink with the girl and wait. The truth is they do not have rooms for fuck on premises for fear of losing their karaoke license. Any sex with the girls have to be somewhere else, after their shift.

The minute you sit down with the girls, they will automatically open all sorts of drinks and food. After a while the girls will ask for VND 500K or US$35 to get a room. They will disappear with that money. They house will then send in the bills for drinks and food, upwards of VND 1Mil or US$60 per person. They would kill their own mothers for a few dollars, so you are fucked.

My karaoke girl in Hanoi did visit me a few times, but the owner knows the guide well, and then she was way too expensive.

Vietnamese are by far are the trickiest to deal with.

- If the girl agrees (after her work), pay and get out. You pay only 1 hour
- Usually pay only time spent and ur drinks. Nothing else to the house
- CHECK your bill and ask for details.
- You should tip the girl a little. Some place its their only income.
- Usually no service inside KTV. Very few have options.

Even though you been very careful some small place might still try to rip u off extra time or something. If its not in a ktv its elsewhere.

If just based everything from your own limited experience those are not facts to many of us here. Crooks are everywhere. In the States there are many of them, even worse! I don't monger in VN because of its strict policy against prostitution. I do most of my playing in the Philippines. Do not come to VN to monger unless you are thorough with the playground or have friends to go around with. Things are not readily available there as it is in China, Thailand, Philippines, and Cambodia. You should have picked this up in the forum if you used it.

I ran into a similar situation in Bali few years ago and got taken for about $100 US for 2 beers and one lady drink in a karaoke join. Why? Because I was stuuuupid but wise for not fighting back because it's not worth getting my tooth knocked out or worse. I haven't been back there not because of that experience but because of some religious guys wanting to go to heaven to fuck 75 virgins or whatever. Infact, I have so much empathy for the people of Bali because its tourist industry is pretty much damaged.

I suggest that you read many posts in many forums like the Philippines and you will notice that many guys at one time or another will have to put on that jack ass uniform and parade around. They think of it as an experience and moved on. You got slammed in here because of your immature attitude. This previous post tells it all; swallow your pain, stop name calling, and move on. I have been here in HCMC for about 4 and half days now. The girls are hot as hell. The prices are a little more than Thailand but not all that much more. Your reports and opinions were based on the low class KTV/Bia-oms which have been discussed previously in this forum as expensive rip-offs with a language barrier to foreigners getting any real satisfaction.

There is also a Japanese/Korean scene in KTV's in District one which has about 20 joints that have not been discussed in this forum for the reason that no-one knows enough about how they operate and what they cost.

The reason people got excited about your reports was that you used these limited experiences to proclaim on the scene on HCMC and even to generalise on the people of Vietnam.

There are plenty of reports in this forum of how foreigners of different extractions got satisfaction and pleasure in HCMC. You apparently chose to ignore them.
