Last time I stayed at Perla de Sosua apartments, which is close to the beach behind the Banco Popular. Quiet location less than five minutes walk from Classico disco/Latino's.
About US$40 per night for a two bedroom apartment. A/C in bedrooms, pool, all the usual. Nice rooftop bar where you can have private parties.
The owner/manager is a very pleasant German dude called Hans who speaks fluent English, Spanish, German. No problems with a novia or girlfriend. Fairly liberal atmosphere, though they might frown on a constant parade of rental pussy.
I am going back there again.

I have stayed at Club Residential. Nice place. Good AC. Reliable. Laundry on premises. Good security.
However, with them your booking allows for 2 persons. They make it clear that 3 persons (2 chicas) are not allowed. Also, cedulas are required for all "guests".
Both rules are for your protection---whether you like it or not.
Bringing two girls into your room at once can be a problem (read the board). It increases the possibility of one occupying your attention while the other steals things. There are a lot of "cons" that can take place when you're outnumbered 2:1. Also, it's a simple "power shift" that could create negative consequences for you if you make arrangements with the wrong 2 chicas!
The reason for the cedula rule is obvious. The hotel has some kind of I.D. or record of the chica who's in the room. Anything goes bad in the transaction, she cannot leave without her I.D. You're protected. It's an ace in the hole you want to have.
Haitianas: Yes, most of the good ones (young and not totally pro) will not have cedulas or legitimate I.D. You can ST at Calypso (an easy to find place for 300 pesos/$10) or I've heard that Rocky's has cheap rooms for about $20/day that you can use if Haitianas are your thing and it makes economic sense to have a "your own" place for those special friends with no I.D.

Since I only have two days in Sosua to monger, I don't want any restrictions placed on me; so I'm going to go with Rocky's for the two days. I also believe he'll pick me up from the airport.
By the way, just a general question to all. I got my ticket today and I also purchased trip insurance as well. Has anybody else purchased trip insurance? I wonder if I am just being paranoid or was it a good idea on my part.

I don't know what you're used to, but Rocky's is real basic accomodations, but in a very cool setting next to the restaurant, one of the best values in town. But when I say "cool", I'm not talking about the temperature! I believe there is no AC, only ceiling fans. So it's going to be a hot room in a cool setting. Am I confused? Did you ask about AC? Rocky fans, help me out here. I've never stayed there.

No AC to my knowledge but the best food in town at the best prices. Say hi to sonia in the morning. She's got the "best" ass.
The staff is very cool. If you have trouble with spanish issac(englishman born in spain) who works the evening shift will more than likely help you out. I noticed a few girls hang out there at the bar sometimes in the late afternoon/evening.

Marco at Rocky's seems very cool and I like that he answers my emails quickly. I was told that guests that stay a week or more get free airport pickup, however for me he'll charge $10 USD for pickup; which seems very reasonable to me. I'm sure I'll be spending time at the bar and restaurant; I'll be sure to report about the chica scene there. Hey Artisttyp is Sonia on the menu or she strictly staff?

If this is your novia in the true sense that she is your girlfried than I don't think she would enjoy Hotel Europa. If you plan to spend all your time with her than there are many other hotels. Just let me know what's your price range.

Yes, if you are with your novia, I would not stay at the Europa, because the whole ambience is of single men entertaining Dominican women for pay. There are girls sitting outside trying to hook residents as they come in and out.
Your novia will not like this.
The only reason to stay at the Europa is to be at a place where you can bring in women ad lib.
Last time I was in Sosua I stayed at the Perla de Sosua, which is about the same price as the Europa, but with somewhat nicer accommodations. You can find its Web site with phone numbers etc. The manager speaks good English. Your novia would like that much better.
However it is up to you. Other people may have better recommendations.

I didnt go this time but I did notice it moved further away from the center. I've only had a drink there once but as far as I know its a massage and handjob place primiarily but other things can be arranged. I've only talked to people who have gone there.
I wouldnt waste my money going about it like that. I pay for someone to get nasty with me not tease me. When I get massages I usually go to a legit place which is cheaper and provides better massages.
