Really, those who know the Colombiana in general ... if she bonds with you, price becomes secondary ... matter of fact it'll be tough to get rid of her ... whether she's a pro or not.

Claro que si ... of course ... there's always the cold professional who bonds only with her wallet ... but like Zippy says ... "chao".

Obviously, the better spanish, the better in shape and the more charming you are, the easier to bond with a chica and make pricing secondary.

Unfortunately, I have none of these qualities ... so I'm also forced to Racer's table ... (just kidding amigo) ... hahaha.

my only talent is 3d year Spanish, and i never did the homework. I am normally obnoxious in personality, and 30 lbs overweight, plus at 50 I could look younger.

My best attribute is my wallet. I also enjoy dancing with the girls at LDV, even if they are whoors. At least there is some genuiness on the dance floor, and if they let you buy them a drink or dance with them you can usually have sex with them.

I should also add that most of my "mongering buddies" in Cartagena are over 50 and they do great there simply because they are very cool guys and the chicas feel very comfortable around them!

I totally agree with Zippy's post, and methods (although I am MUCH younger than his friends in CTG LOL!). I also agree with Ricker that once a Colombiana decides she likes you they can be hard tro shake. I REALLY seek a middle ground between ST tryst and lifelong soulmate, but it is hard as lots of encounters end up at one of these extremes.

The Paisa premium does not fly with me as I generally prefer darker chicas. This last trip I found an INCREDIBLE % of pros claiming they are from Pereira. At Pleyboy Club, which was the most fun place to hang out with pros I've found in CTG, 16 out of the 20+ girls claimed to be from Periera. I suspect it to be a sales ploy akin to the Medellin thing.

I do understand that deals can be found in Colombia, but I do not care about that. Before I get flamed for being the guy who runs up the prices in Colombia, try to consider a few things. When I am on vacation I expect to spend considerable amounts of money, that is why I work hard all year. I did not go to Colombia to "get a deal" I went there to have a new experience and to score as many hot chicas as possible. One thing I am not into is arguing over 20 bucks with some chick when I am drunk and wanting to have a good time.

I have to admit I have a hard time dealing with the balance of what they "should" get paid and what I am willing to pay. For me a $100 is nothing for a great night with a super hot chick, but I do understand the complaint that because of gingos like me prices are higher..

Do people really feel that Chicas will not take the lower prices "deal seeking" gringos offer and go home without any $$?

If the comments about the $$ I spent are trying to help me out I do not care, if they are to help keep prices down, I am not sure how valid that argument is?

I'm with TOM 33, who cares what a guy pays 100K 200K 300K if he reads the forum and feels a nedd to pay more then so be it, we did not help him make his money so who are we to tell him how to spend it! All I know is I'll get three times the bang for the same buck!

Surfer, disagree with you a little as far as rising prices go! I started coming to CTG mid 2004, price I paid for a room was $25 x two guys sharing a two bedroom. The price today is $37.50 for that same two bedroom!

Price of food the same, the price of Chicas has gone up for me 20%, price of buying a place, forget about it! For the miost part the prices have gone up with inflation and Bush's dumb ass! As far as the word getting out about Colombia, hell surfer could you really not tell someone about that perfect wave and how to find it? I for one love sharing and when it gets all fucked up, I'll move on or complain about all the gringos, hell I love a challenge

My battle cry is DON'T PAY MORE THEN 100K! Now that i think about it I've paid a lot more then 100K for the simple fact that I love having a good time with a chica that has a kick ass attitude! so I'll buy a bottle for my target and her friends, drink, dance and laugh the night away!

And yes a good attitude and in decent shape goes as long as speaking spanish! All you have to do is flip it, do we want a chica out of shape and a f---ed up attitude? Hell No!

I would have to agree with surfer here, Cartagena is not a great value, when compared with the rest of Columbia. It is the most expensive city due to the fact it is a large tourist spot. All the other cities I have stayed in there are much cheaper for lodging, chicas, and food.

Latina,i have no idea what your post is about? Are you saying you only pay a 100k?In the next breath you're saying you don't care and buying bottles for the chicas. Are you a newbie? I find once you start buying booze for these girls it never stops, also they always seem to have there girlfriends there to help drink it!My novia always wants to bring her friends,relatives etc. I finally had to tell her no more. Everytime they came to my house they would clean out my refrigerator, and burn through my phone minutes.

As far as 50+ fat guys dancing at LDV i'm not sure if this is really going to impress to many of the working girls! I like the girls to dance for me while I sit on my ass and watch.

I hope Columbia does not become another Costa rica or Rio. I do not think it will due to the fact that many cities are still dangerous.although recently I have seen gringo's talking about bachelor parties and large gringo parties.It is only a matter of time before someone get hurt, Columbia is safer than it used to be but it still ain't cancun.

Also,one last question,why due gringo's like to hang out in large groups? I try to avoid this at all costs. I prefer to hang with one other guy.I guess everyone has their own stlye. Just don't overpay!

Penthouse has been secured! Not sure how many of you guys are familiar with CTg but the building is on the same road as the Hilton across the street from where foregin affair has its apartments.

Rule number one and the only rule is NO DRUGS, I don't think any of us want to experience Jose in a colombian lock down! Any of you guys want to smoke a joint no problem here just not in the apartment, hell i might even join you!

The point that I was trying to make is this> I have never paid directly over 100K at LDV, but after I calualate the drinks and what not it probably has gone well over 200K! Even with a pro trying to develope some type of relationship pays off in the end! Hell any of us can put 200K of the table and get the girl they want, to me thats no fun!

When I was there 10 days ago I talked a gal down to 120K but I did not inquire if that was for LT or ST, did not close the deal because I had my Novia at the apartment!

I just got into Cartagena last night, this is my first time here and I had a couple questions for the experienced members here. First, I´m staying at the Hotel Charlotte. Does anyone know if they are chica friendly? And if so is there an extra charge to take a girl up?

Also, reading through the posts here LDV seems to be a place I should check out. I´ve got the address of the Perla Casino so I should be able to find it ok but is this a brothel, or? Is there an on premises place to take the girls, or is it strickly take out? Any good ST hotels near LDV?

Last, I would really like to get a good massage. Happy ending would be nice, but second to the massage. Someone posted about Masajes Rocio, on Calle Benjamin Herrera. Anyone know how far this is from the Hotel Charlotte?

LDV is a bar/dance club where all of the ladies in the club are working girls. No onsite rooms for the naughty act. So you must take them back to your place, or go to a motel. They are going to ask 300, please luagh when you hear the number. Try not to pay more than 120 to 150 for a few hrs. Depends on the girl and how you get along with her. Some will stick to the high price, but don't give in, others can be had for less. Good luck and have fun.

I'm staying at Almirante Estelar which -is- chica friendly between 11pm-5am. It seems that she has to leave before 5am, however noone will stop her after that. May be you could face an extra charge, I didn't try.

This is not a cool Hotel. It's marketed as 5 stars, however it's hardly a 4-star hotel. The pool doesn't have sun. The prices inside the hotel are excesively high. The shower has no pressure and the hot water is not hot at all. Most people don't need hot water as this is a very warm place, however I do need it for shaving, and the lack of it bothers me.

I found street action in the avenue around the hotel.

I've been in Babar (COP10,000 cover non-consummible, COP8,000 for a beer). Didn't find anything good and no chica approached (BTW I'm not a troll). Had a long trip and was a little tired so I left Babar heading the Hotel.

Today I was with a non-pro in the beach. I met her in the hotel. Totally dissapointed. Waste of valuable time.

Tonight I'll stop by LDV, If anybody's gonna be there, let me know!

Tomorrow I'll face to the beach at Isla del Rosario. Same thing, if anybody is going, please PM!

I leave wed dec/22, so I only have 3 nights left. If anybody has planned action, please let me know. Also if anybody is in the same business as I am, it will be cool to know (easy to guess).

The Charlotte is chica friendly. Don't know about extra charges.

You can't bang anyone at the LDV. Bring them back to the Charlotte. There are many love hotels along San Martin. The chicas will know them.

I stayed at the Almirante for a week last year and also dealt with the '5 am rule' that they have. I didn't mind it with pros since I'm always ST with them anyway. But later in the stay I had a steadier girl and it was more of a problem. But if you have a clingy girl it makes a good excuse to get her out of the room. All in all this place is a VERY qualified girl friendly. Most of these high-end hotels get more family business so I guess they don't want a parade of working girls.

I was lucky not to have any hot water or pressure problems while I was there. But you're right that the Almirante oversells itself. I would give it a 4-star if in a generous mood. The breakfast was pretty good and I liked the gym there. True, the pool doesn't get much sun. That's why they have a sun deck on a higher floor. Also, the place really needs a night life venue. The top floor disco was closed when I was there and otherwise the hotel is a morgue at night.

As reported here mongers are best advised to stay in the serviced apartments. Hotels are for families and couples.
