The more I research the longer I think my trip needs to be. I don't think 4 days is enough for everything and I'm a guy who can easily hit 10 gogo bars per night.

I know you are not a nightclub kinda person. But you will get fantastic value in places like Malio Club. The dancers are gorgeous and you can do almost everything to them, save the final act; all for the price of a couple of drinks, right there at the bar. The girls will almost insist you grope them. 5555.

I went to the Pool at 1001 for the first time and was impressed. As mentioned elsewhere, it's in the same building as the Colosseum and an easy walk from Fatahillah square. It's even nicer than Alexis, with prices and so on identical to Alexis, unfortunately including the new rule barring girls from the pool. Men can play in it, and girls watch and wait from the side. Everyone agrees the rule is temporary, but no one knows when it will end or even why it exists. In any case, I definitely recommend it, it may be my new favourite.

I am very excited about my trip. Real discos like Hollywood and The Pier in Pattaya and The Club in Bangkok are fine. Nightclub atmosphere pickup joints like Beach Club and Thai Club in Kuala Lumpur, Ipanema in Singapore, and Darling Darling in Phnom Penh are fine. I just despise can't where you have no room to dance and are a complete sausage fest like iBar / Insomnia in Pattaya. As long as they aren't like iBar / Insomnia I'm good.

I have been in Jakarta for a week now and have ticked off most of the frequently talked about Spa lounges in the city. Since Alexis requires a lot of commute time from my place, I have not yet been there.

My question is- What makes Alexis a must-visit place in Jakarta? From what I have personally experienced and from the many reports I read on the Internet. All these spas follow the same process: Pick a bird. Spend some time in pool. Get a massage if you like. Get to the room for sex. But for some reason, majority opinion is that Alexis is a must in my Jakarta menu. Is there anything different I can expect at Alexis?

I have had a good time at Emporium, Fortune, Delta et al. Emporium especially felt the most luxurious and hygienic, but still had the same process in their Spa.

Would I really be missing out if I decide to give Alexis a miss?

Most places in Jakarta are exactly the same as they were 5 years ago. Sure, the girls change, but I find the gogos in Thailand to have drastic swings between good times and bad times to visit. But the places in Jakarta are consistent for the most part. However, there are certain nights when places are better than others. Every place in town has their hottest girls there on Friday and Saturday night. However, there are special occasions like Wednesday night at CJs where there are many more girls than other week nights.

When I am in Bangkok, I also can easily visit 10 gogos every night. But in Jakarta, things are not as easy. They are more spread out. I went to 4 different places in Jakarta the other night and that's 3 more than I normally ever visit in a night in Jakarta, but that was over an 8 hour span. Things are much more spread out in Jakarta and it requires a taxi to go from one to the other.

Of course Thailand is much easier to have fun (especially during the day). But Jakarta is also lots of fun. Especially if you speak Indonesian. Speaking Thai doesn't matter much in Thailand because the place is so targeted towards sex tourism anyway and it's in the open, but it is a pretty big advantage to speak Indonesian in Indonesia. You may want to bone up on some before you visit.

A place like Cj's can be classy. Some can be very loud, like X2.

Damn! I miss Jakarta so much now.

BTW I think Ipanema in SGP is a shithole. Next time try Brix and then we compare notes.

Why would you waste your time at brothels if you are young enough to get girls for free? (although 30's is pushing it, you will likely need to pay. It's the 20 something guys who get it free.) If you are paying, it won't be any cheaper than an ugly 60 year old pays. But if you can get it free, that's of course different.

As far as those brothels, best time is 9 pm onwards if you want it to be busy with dancers and girls. If you want to avoid the crowds, go at 4 pm.

I wouldn't put Fortune or Delta in the same category as Emporivm or Alexis. Fortune and Delta are more normal massage places where I go there and don't even have sex most times. Emporivm and Alexis are basically brothels. I think they are both overpriced so I don't go to either. However, if you are willing to pay the outrageous prices at Emporivm, you might as well give Alexis a try. Then you can give us all a report.

They like to wear shorts when they go out and they can't even enter the bars in Jakarta wearing shorts. They do, however, enjoy Blok M and Hotel Classic.
