Thanks to everyone for the helpful information. I am sure my first trip to AC will be a big success, do to the help I have received here and from Funman13. I will try to write up a detailed report when I return, that hopefully will be a benefit to others.
Would it be better for me to bring all of the money I plan to spend with me or just take it out from ATMs as I need it? I am budgeting 3000 for one week for hotel pussy and food. I believe this will be more than adequate?

Personally I'd take about 1, 000 to 1, 200 USD cash and keep that aside until I needed it; and then use ATM's for my daily needs. There's an ATM in the Wild Orchid and ABC has two, one out front to the right of the entrance and one inside the lobby across from the front desk. These are safer to use then the ones on the street. Not sure about the Wild Orchid one. Is was off line when I went to use it, but most ATM's there have a 10K PHP daily withdrawal limit. And you may want to call your bank card's security department and tell them that you will be using the card in the Phils or they may block it after the first use / attempt.

At Mercury Drug the local viagra, brand name Andros, is approx 2000 pesos for a box of 5 100mg tablets. The 50mg box of 5 runs approx 1500 pesos. I went to the Generics Pharmacy and it sells a box of 5 50mg tablets for approx 350 pesos. It's sildenafil, brand name is Tigerfil, and is made my Sandoz. At that price it's competitive with the street sellers and I have better assurance it isn't pale-blue colored flour and glue.
Sandoz. Sandoz you brough me love. Eric Burdon. In any event, what I buy there or the cheap stuff here over the internet is about half as powerful as I buy here in USA. Buy 100 mg and cut it in half doesn't work well for me. But 100 mg in USA and its efficacy is validated. Never took a full 100 mg off the street there and probably never will.

The exchange rate (they don't rip you off by giving you an extremely lower rate in addition to charging you fees as the airport changers in the USA) is so good there that I only bring cash to change.
$3000 for one week? I have a feeling you will be returning home with more than $2000 of that. To give you an idea, I will be in the country for 8 days in 3 cities. My total hotel cost is $241 (City State in Manila, Harold's in Dumaguete, PB in AC). My air fare from Manila Dumaguete round trip plus Clark back to Bangkok is $223 (including the overage I pre-paid for my scuba gear). More than likely I will be taking the bus from Manila to AC which will be about $3. 50. Or if I was to take a taxi it would be $60. $15 / day to eat and just say $50 / day for P4P with drinking included would total $984 if I do the bus in lieu of the taxi.

What hotels are you staying in AC for that rate? Dumps? Anything decent is pretty costly. I made it in Kokomos $30 a night rooms for about 35 seconds before the misqutos, stinky water, dirty sheets and noise hit me. Then it was up the road to Lewis Grand for a little over $100 a night. Have a drink or two, buy a lady drink to feel a girl out, take one decent girl out of a go go (2000 pesos) and there goes another 75 bucks by the time you factor in a stop for some food and a tuk tuk back to the hotel. Have a ST during the day for another 17 dollars, breakfast and lunch and you're easily up to 200 a day all in.

I'm not usually awake early enough for breakfast when I am in AC. Nothing wrong with the bus in PI. Just like a bus anywhere else. I have taken them in Peru, Dominican Republic, Cambodia, Thailand, etc. I figure it is just like Greyhound in the USA. I don't know if Greyhound has a tv and plays movies though because I have never been on them. But the city to city buses that I have been on in other countries do.

He can only spend 3000$ in a week by hopelessly overpaying. Ridiculous.
Spending $3000 / week? Good grief. With a bit of work, I could do $3000 a month. Perhaps two months if careful, rent an apartment, and still have a great time. Personally trying to stay below $80 / day. Gee, no wonder Field's Ave prices are through the roof. Whereas before it was about getting girls, now it's sky-high BFs, and 300 peso LDs, with businesses fleecing us for more.
About a week of my trip is over, two more to go. Then off to Pattaya (which nowadays depending how you play it cheaper). Yesterday dinner did Marg Station. The Mongolian, really good food. Then, since I need keep my [b]king cheep-charlie card[/b], decided to head to High Society. It's near Blue Nile. On the way there, found three gals on Walking Street. They were also on their way to HS, but first to McDs. OK, I'll go along. Yes, they all work the same bar, and no I will not say which; does not matter anyway.
For the record, I cheap charlie when it comes to bars. Best word to describe bars: [b]Emasculating[/b]. However, no prob spending cash direct on the gals. So, off to McDs we went, and I fronted them 300p for their burgers & fries and for myself a chocolate sundae. Believe me, these the gals appreciate this far more, than when farang suckers purchase that dopey 300p LD. We spoke of the usual life around Fields. Usual complaints of the Aussie a-hole owners who they did work for in past: yell at the gals, overcharge customers, and give gals smaller commission. About the Koreans who follow the rule of threes: Three inches, three minutes, and three thousand pesos. These gals do not like Koreans, and who knows why. Asked the gals about Diamond, and its still unclear to me. Perhaps next time will get them to take me there.
After the most delicious meal ever at McDs (sarcasm here) one agreed to go with me ST for 1000p and got a second's cell number for later. Much prefer meeting gals this way. Meet them on neutral grounds. We are equals. They like me, great. They don't, they can walk. Either way, fine. See them as people, not as objects.
This evening. 11:00pm. Grabbed a meal and then Schwarma. Off to High Society but before I got there caught a gal. REAL cute. Yes she now works bar, and yes she did work at Blue Nile, but now at working in another. After brief conversation it was 1000p and to my hotel. Nice gal. 23 years old. Flat beautiful stomach. Perfect, perfect butt. And I do mean stunning butt. Shy, and wanted the lights out. Not shaved, unfortunately. Great time overall.

What's up characters! Thanks for the entertaining reading as I reacquaint myself with the boards here. My first trip to AC is Jan. 9-19th, so first off if anyone is around and up for a Happy hour somewhere, drop me a line. Thanks to those who gave those nuggets of useful information. Bars, hotels and just the general lowdown. I have sent out a few PMs too. No obligation, just enquiring. I'll do my best to add to the dialogue when I'm there. Based in Seoul, contacts welcomed, but I don't get out much (the one-finger shackle!)

Ok guys, I am headed to AC for the first time next week. I usually go to Pattaya but I planned to split it 50/50 this time around. I usually don't go to gogo bars infact I have never barfined from an agogo bar on walking street in Pattaya. I usually just hang out on soi 6 during the day and do the deed on sight at the various bars on Soi 6 for a fraction of the price of the agogo bars on walking street. I like the freelancer scene much better in Pattaya I go club hoppin and eventually find a freelancer to take home for the night. From what I have read the bars are the main game in Angeles and some of you have mentioned Skytraxx for freelances. So it will be a change of pace hitting up the go go bars as the main event. Well since that is the state what is the state of the santos bars and other short time bars like matrix brawn? I figure I will be spending alot of time here during the day since they are the closes thing to Soi 6 in Pattaya.
Only my experience. Every time I go to Wild Orchid to use the ATM it is out or doesn't work. Even the banks have screwed up when I tried using their ATM's. Just take cash, put it in a safe and go to the money changers with what you need for a day or two. This is what works for me. Yes, the credit card people knew I was traveling and in the Phils. Maybe best to take cash and try the ATM card. Maybe it will work but at least you are covered,. and not using charge credit card.
