I did not pay too much attention to all of Zedman99's post's meaning I did not analyze line by line what he said. But it is clear this shithead is new to the forum and started off bullshitting from the get go, just like trolls do. You do not have to be nice to everyone all the time, this guy started off on the wrong foot and I don't know what his motives were for doing so. We have a kinda sorta intact forum where we have respect for the regular folks who are 'pretty much' predictable. And we should have the rights to accept or reject newbies / trolls. They simply have to earn their respect here, or go elsewhere. This ain't free country for no trolls, we should respect long time and true blue mongers.

I tried hard to stay out this bullshit, and I want to say I'm sorry to the vet's that understand this is not worth our time. First Tomjackin thanks for the pic's and wisdom. You are a class act. Kman you are point on thats why the vet's remained silent. Tempoco thanks for your honest trip report, but you should evaluate why you're reports have so much rejection. You are a very smart guy, don't be above self evaluation, respectfully speaking. As Kman said that guy has not provided positive conversation here, so why bother? As smart as you are (Tempoco) you should understand that in American Society that if you have one drop of black blood, that you are considered black. And Tiger Woods has never claimed his blackness. Tempoco your boy Frannie say's he was a Prison guard, but I don't know why he remains quiet on this topic Hmm.

Also, it is up to us to police the bullshit on this forum, Jackson is busy with other BS. For you (Tempoco) to want BS confuses me. Also is Herman's beach bar Siempre Sol still there? Last I had heard is it was torn down.

Let me regale you with a story. Going to college in India, the professors were Gods. Literally; so you said "yes sir" to whatever they said despite their complete lack of knowledge and willingness to stay abreast of latest research because they were sure of their tenure. Later, I lived in Europe and then Asia for a long span and to my surprise, I found this obsequious mentality prevail there as well (well, what do you expect, the Indians got it from the Brits!). Only when I came to Grad School here, I found. Not only the professors showed humility, they were actually willing to listen to young people and newbies. And specifically contrarian views.

I always thought, what made this country great (well, there are many factors, many of which are slowly getting dismantled today, like the public education or the public library) , was this strangely unexplained behavior of the teachers and professors. At least I have not encountered it elsewhere.

To me, there is a parallel between what happens in the classroom and on this forum. We should not have any HOLY COWS here who can take offense. Just because they have been here the longest or know the most. Tenure means nothing! You must have seen how unconventional thoughts rejected by the powers that be, initially, have actually later come to be accepted as norms. Who sets the tone of the debate? I think the veterans should. I like a healthy debate for this reason, without regard to the hierarchy and this country is a classic example of that. Or is it a case of "was"?

Will be in Sosua for a month in a half all of May and then part of June. First time there. Be sure to get in touch. I will repost my trip plans in the announcement section when we get closer to May so that it will not get lost.

Rio Me Ever[/QUOTE]I just returned from a couple of days in Sosua. Herman beach bar is still there, Number 145. Hermans beach bar is closed on Mondays, ususally there is a good crowd of guys from Europe, US and Canada.

After 9 trips to Rio you might be disappointed in the talent which Sosua has to offer.
