East China - Shanghai

Finally got in touch with one of my contacts for "new sauna" and went to the location and he'the sent me earlier around ChangShou. Turns out there's nothing there! And he sent me another location all the way in Qibao! So I didn't go there. The location keeps changing? Finally went to another contact's sauna based on the location pin he'the sent and ended up in front of a French Hotel Chain In Minhang. Once I messaged him, he ushered meninto the hotel through a back entrance and took me into one room to select the girls and then into room to pay my bill and then I was led into the third bedroom by the girl. The service was good! She tried to simulate the Nuru and Sauna experience in the shower and I got my two shots following a good BBBJ. However, the selection isn't great! The prices have gone up to a starting of ¥1400 and the room looks like it's been used and not had a thorough cleaning after previous customers. I know this because there were used towels on the floor and they gave me some disposable towels. The girl just cleared a bin liner from the room. Definitely no change of sheets etc. I guess this is the new normal? Sneaking into he back of hotels!

Went to ChangShou twice last week and had a good session. Different girl each time and they didn't stay to share their number with me. I went back on Friday night a little earlier and I had to wait in the reception and adjoining room with 5-10 other guys waiting for their turns while smoking away. Didn't really want to wait! Realised it must have been pay day Friday for a lot of guys so I left. There are definitely more of these places around and I'm going to explore and let you know. Still good value BBBJ place. There used to be so many in Shanghai until a few years ago.

Went to a Sauna given to me by some girl I found on Momo. Ended up going through a huge massage place that looked closed! Except for a guard hanging around near the door. Went into a very fancy massage club with very attractive women and ushers. The massage room had a lovely sofa, massage bed, jacuzzi, bathtub, shower and round bed. They offered me tea and fruits and undressed me for a massage which I must say was very good but purely vegetarian. Then they stared to ask me for up selling services. And wanted me to take some sort of membership for ¥100,000 upwards! It took a long time with the translator app to get them to give me the price for one time entertainment and they wanted ¥5000! They kept telling me about the security and privacy of the place. They were very very pushy and would let me go and wanted ¥1300 for the massage. Even after agreeing to that price they kept trying to sell me their upscale services! Must say I was worried for a while there. Stay safe and stay smart!

I don't know of any hotels right now with in-house service. This used to be plentiful in China (as well as getting phone calls soliciting after checking in to hotels) but my recommendation would be to get familiar with the subway. This should not be too difficult as tickets & help is in English, and there are few MP's serving foreigners smack bang on subway stops what a coincidence.

When I posted the first comment, I was mad at myself when I broke my own rules to help a "one post wonder". He also crashed and burned trying to meet one of my contacts. She had contacted me to confirm him, which I did, They were having trouble communicating and I was trying to help him close the deal. He was new to shanghai. He made a lot of mistakes and I tried to let him know how to fix it. He went dark and wouldn't answer. OK. Dead to me now.

This board taught me a lot in my early days and that is what this board is about. Let's all work to make it good. If we all refuse to help, this board becomes useless to all of us.

Thank you for the kind words. You know its funny, my very first post in this forum was a review for a sauna I found myself using the resources available (this site, Happymassage, SNG (rip), etc). In fact, I believe at least the first two or three places I found without asking for any help, I don't speak a word of Chinese, why is so difficult for people to do the same thing? Yes, I was in Shanghai not outside the country, but I did all the finding (other than identifying the specific location) from the comfort of my computer.

In any case, my personal situation has changed, I am based in Beijing right now. So when I do make it to Shanghai, I just to go to Manhattan's / Judy's and with all of the reviews going on right now for them, I haven't found anything of value I can add. And the Beijing scene absolutely sucks! Even worse than the current situation in Shanghai.

Maybe we will meet up sometime, I have gotten value from many of your posts.

Regarding Beijing are you visiting Maggie's or Mango? I know it's not like the scene in Shanghai but the Mongolian women are beautiful. I've also used Angel services and it's OK. I do know it more expensive in Beijing so that is a bummer. I wish I knew the spa scene in Beijing but I haven't tried that action. Hope to read more from you in the future. Unfortunately I missed the sauna hey day, but I have to say I don't understand why folks are sneaking into seedy hotels or paying huge prices for shady mediocre stuff when you could go to Manhattan or Judys and get a smoking hot chick no fuss at all. What is the allure these days of the shady sorta sauna wannabes? Price? The thrill of being arrested? I honestly just don't get it. Manhattan is paradise on earth for me. Why skulk the back streets?

Don't know if it's worth mentioning but for the past couple of days, there's been quite a few MP QQ groups that have been shut down by net LE. There's even a notice that states that it's been shut due to sex related solicitation. One that was shut today wasn't 76 but was also on Changshou road not too far away. Now I don't know if the net LE will inform other depts to carry out a raid. But it's something to be weary of. Stay safe!

Metro is fine, but I don't want to get into trouble. I recently went to Russia and everything was so easy and inexpensive there. Spent 10 days in saunas and MPs almost non-stop.

Just had a great massage by her. As the website suggests, No FS, but she does a very professional deep tissue massage with sensual touches and HJ ending. Almost an artist at her job. Highly recommended if this is all you are after.

Anybody has an idea whether the Scarosa is re-opened? I checked it right before CNY festivals and there where renovation activities ongoing. New carpets already on the floor, furniture in and even brand new stacks of linen and towel where laying at the reception desk. I asked and some cute lady told me maybe after CNY.
