I think it's around 500,000 for the massage and then it depends what you want in the room from the girl as far as tip. That is an extra charge. I would think these days you should be able to get her to have sex with you for an extra 500 k. (I have not been to fortune in many years, so maybe someone else is more up to date on the prices).

Jakarta is phasing out many brothels. We can see Stadium, Kalijodo shut down by previous governor Ahok. Then we see the high end Alexis get hit under governor Anies.

Now it is Hotel Classic turn. Jakarta choice is more and more limited.

LE / governor etc. Its mostly to increase the kickback amount or scare other establishments into renegotiating terms. I am due to visit next Jan. And Alexis closure worries me a little. Was planning for a good spa session. I am on SA and I get plenty of attention. Hopefully, things will work out.

The other one, that has not been mentioned yet in this thread is [URL]http://poskotanews.com/2017/11/03/masa-kejayaan-classic-hotel-ini-di-ambang-kehancuran.[/URL] Based on my limited understanding of Indonesian, as well as some rough software translations of the two articles, it seems the three or four officers who visited the Classic building made a point of concentrating their efforts on those locales within the building where no or very little was taking place, such as the closed-down karaoke rooms. So while it is still possible there is going to be a continuing clampdown, it may also be that the new administration after having closed down Alexis, is now going through additional motions to show they are concerned about the "prostitution problem," even if that means investigating the various locales and concluding they are not places of prostitution. These efforts may be more about playing to Anies's base of conservative Muslims, than anything Anies is really concerned about. If the former, these may be "show visits" to feign concern about places of prostitution but designed to conclude many of the locales do not have prostitutes. And even if this is not what Anies wants, corrupt lower level police might want to publicly reach this conclusion to protect their revenue streams notwithstanding that doing so is becoming more dangerous. In any event it is difficult to really know what was behind the Classic visits (hardly raids} if the media reports are accurate, which they may or may not be.

Only time will tell whether Alexis will turn out to be a one-off, with the rest of the brothels only subject to show visits to feign concern about the possibility of prostitution. But then officials may conclude (wink, wink) it doesn't exist at these places, thereby allowing business, including the payoffs to keep the places open, to proceed as usual.

Having said all this, this is my optimistic interpretation of what is going on. But it is probably equally possible the present LE actions foreshadow a true crackdown that will change the scene tremendously for the worse. And it may be the seemingly weak-kneed officers who didn't find much of anything at Classic went off script by essentially finding no or very little prostitution there, whereas others will later investigations will report what is there more accurately. It's hard to know.

But they'll find it impossible to wipe out the sex trade. The economics, demand and available tech platforms. But yes, will miss the dancing girls.

I decided to give Jakarta a try. I was in Pattaya and planning to head to Angeles City. Air Asia had a Thursday $95 usd direct flight to Jakarta and then I booked Sunday Scoot flight Jakarta directly into Clark (AC) for $150. I was heavy on my carry-on which Air Asia let slip, but Scoot caught me for an extra $75 baggage fee. Note to self: "when I fly Scoot in future pre-buy checked bag option. " Harris Vertu was recommended by Smoothy- thank you so much. Harris Vertu is probably the best "value" I ever had for a quality 4-5 star hotel. ($67/ night Agoda).

Hotel Malio / Malioboro is almost directly across the street. The hotel lobby is on the 5th floor of modern shopping / hotel complex.

Airport exhchange 13,300/ usd. Schwab ATM rate was 13,000. (100,000 rupiah =$75) Took Silver Bird luxury taxi / sedan from airport, 3 pm arrival -- 1. 5 hours to Harris Vertu. Cost about 200,000. I know bluebird taxi would have been cheaper, but a friend suggested Silver bird. It was a nice, comfortable ride in heavy traffic-I splurged a little.

After quick shit, shower and shave walked across street to Malio Hotel 5 pm. The Malioboro club did not open until 8 pm, but the two lounges upstairs were open. One lounge had a selection 25 masseuses (430,000). The other lounge with food and dance stage the girls were asking 1,100,000. I picked a 19 yr no baby from the cheap gallery and spent an hour in their very nice rooms. Total damage ended up being 1,000,000.
