I stayed one night in Playa Del Carmen and made my way to Merlin Safari. Cover is $25 US. Water is only $2 US, ladies drinks are $20 US. It is located on the South side of Juarze on the West side of 307. The doorman didn't have change for a 500 peaso bill and wanted to run off with it to get change. I don't like to see my money run off so I had him go get the change first and waited outside for a short period before I went in. Once inside there are two styles of chairs, taller metal chairs that are not comfortable and shorter fake black leather chairs that aren't to bad to sit in. I recommend the black shorter chairs. Like any club of this nature you can sit at the stage or off a bit. The girls are mostly Mexican and range in looks and appearance but most are upper level girls. I saw about 10 girls, could have been more it is dark in there and alott of pillers blocking views. The two best looking girls were 9's in my book, one Mexican and the other from Chile. The Mexican will give table dances for $20 US but will not do full service or will not leave the club with you. The Girl from Chili does give full service and will leave the club, I got the feeling she was selective though. I did end up taking the girl from Chile out and it was not cheap, you can stay in for less but I don't remember the prices. The cost for taking her out for all night was $200 US for the club and $250 US for the girl. The club started at $300 US and the girl also started at $300 US, it was early in the night (10 PM). They will try to push the girls drinks like any establishment in Mexico and when you want to negotiate they will pretend not to understand you. When negotiating skip the waiter for the bar fine and go to a manager. Girls negotiate there own rates when you take them out.

I can heartily recommend the two strip clubs just a few kilometers east of Merida along the Cancun highway. I forget their names, but these are large buildings and they advertise in the local papers. They are on the north side of the highway, the first one at a major circle has a large billboard and is open in the evenings. The second one, a little farther east (maybe a couple kilometers more, requiring that you turn around) is open during the day. They are under the same management. There is another one on the south side that is crap (very local, girls range from threes to sixes).

The clubs are attractive. 3 drink minimum, which is about 75 pesos. Lap dances range from 50 - 150 pesos ($5-15), depending on how much privacy you want. You can get a blowjob for 500 pesos ($50) in the 150 peso room (negotiate with the girl; you'll end up having to buy a couple songs for the house as well). The thing about Mexico is you definitely don't have to sit on your hands. The girls range from fives to eights, all local, and definitely more attractive than the girls you normally find in the Yucatan.

Geez, I wish I could remember the names of the places. Anyway, just drive east from Merida towards Cancun on the highway and you'll see them just outside the city - look north. They advertise in the local papers.

I was the member that PMed Prokofiev about 2 of the strip clubs in the city. I went to CARTIER, as you did, where a privado is 150 Pesos and a cubeta of beers is 100. I went back with two different girls and had no luck, but during one of those privados, I heard some guy banging away on this chica in the next cubicle. In short, sex is to be had there, and probabaly not for much money, but you just have to find the right girl and, of course, you need to proposition her.

I also went to the SC IMPERIO'S, where I chose the hottest, skinniest thing in the house and ended up with a delicious BBBJ for maybe 400 Pesos after negotiating with her. Privados cost 120.

Club EXTASIS sounds way too expensive for Villahermosa.

In short, like Oaxaca, if you have only a few days in town, better to go to a brothel. But if you have time and want to hang out and chat with chicas over a few beers, only to go back to privados for a BBBJ or BBHJ or whatever, both sites offer very decently-priced stripclubs for that.

One other note: bars and stripclubs close EARLY in Villahermosa, like at 1:30 or 2:00. So late-night hobbiests take note.

I just finished a trip to PDC. It is one of the most miserable mongering destinations I have ever been to. Of course I live in Costa Rica, but I travel extensively and while it might be better than Utah, actually it might not be. The girls range from linbacker types to a few solid 8's, all with full New York city prices.

Nightclubs (strip clubs) are comically overpriced. Usually you can live with this as many latin cities have hyper expensive strip clubs, but great SW's or MP's. Even lower priced spots like Popa Cubanas will try to scam you. A few Yucatan nightclub tips.

1. Always shoo off the first girl who approaches you, (actually, that goes worldwide).

2. Never ever run a tab, pay every round when it comes.

3. If possible get a menu with prices, the waiters will often quote you as much as they can get away with in regards to private dances, exit fees, room charges, etc. If not get the prices from the waiter and later confirm with the girl. A sure sign you are getting scammed is when you ask a simple question like how much is the fee to use the in-house room for the girl and he has to go ask. Of course it helps if you speak spanish.

I tried 3 of the local MP's from the tabloid paper they sell on the street. All hard sell, more sizzle than steak. All advertise low prices, but those are not really possible, it will cost you $100, period. If you get a BBBJ at any price, congratulations, you hit the lottery.

As I recall, Cancun and PDC are more like "springbreak" places. Too bad that you did not have such a great time.

As we all know, sometimes at USA strip clubs you can't get laid for any amount of money. In PDC nightclubs, you certainly can have any girl, but at comical prices.

I suppose compared to Stringfellows it's great, compared to Costa Rica, B.A., Lima, Bogata, not so great.

I am from Canada, never been there, maybe if my friend comes down from Canada I will try it out.

Atlantica Mens Club is about 10-15 minutes from Centro, straight up Calle 59 until you see the sign to Campeche/Cancun, take it and you will go thru one of those circle intersections and your there a few min. after.

There is a new club in pdc, malibu, located on the 307 north of jarez ave but south of baby hot. Marlin is at the corner of Juarez and the 307. Opens at noonish but chicas start at 2 ish, closes at 10 pm, this is a locals bar but every one was friendly. No cover charge so if going to other clubs have cab drop you here first and then walk north to baby hot or south to marlin. Talent is not as good as chilly willy but still some hotties. 15 dollar dances.

So there is a new club, any good reports about the quality in this club? I'll be in PDC in a week and will try to sneak away for a little bit of my time, any suggestions would be great!

To say that the club was full of hotties would be a lie, but there were a few 7-8's, out of 12 girls.

I heard from a reliable source that on Sunday the police shut down the house near 30th. Apparently the girls all got brought down to the station and were photographed for the periodicos. I don't know what the reason for a crackdown might be. In that area is it politics, tourism, or just a periodic shakedown? If anyone sees anything in the news about it, report back please.
