Yes, those guys are right. No doubt, we pay in INR but ultimately it gets converted to USD to SA. I also got a verification call at least 3 times and ultimately I verified with a yes, that's a legal deal and I have used my Credit Card. It's linked with American Express. I did ask my ICICI relationship manager and was informed that new systems are put in place by GOI. Also, was informed that any payment that I transfer outside, I would be charged 3.5% of the amount. I understood because I declined to renew my membership at another platform and wanted to understand the concept.
Hope it helps. I didn't care as wanted to renew my SA membership but other one I did not renew. Not too much of a tech guy and let it pass and hardly use my cards unless I have no other option.
