Bus is an option of getting to Curitiba. It is a 6 hour ride. Here is a website of a bus company:

There is usually 2 options for the bus: conventional (regular) and leito (first class). Leito is more expensive, but the seats are spacious and can be reclined.

you can get them to a motel. But I expect most hotels to be fairly open minded. It does not hurt to ask before booking, I think at least half of the hotels are open to visitors.

Just came back from Florianopolis, very nice beach resorts, but did not sample the local talent as it was during hollidays and I had a watch dog with me (girl)

I plan to visit Curitiba.

I might be open to play guide for someone who wants to go. No, I am not an expert in Curitiba, havent been there in years, but I speak perfect portuguese and know how to find my way around in Brazil, how to read the boards, etc

Curitiba is probably the most European and modern City in Brazil, a world model city for public transport, recicling and city planning. I will take a bicycle, there are lots of bike paths

I expect hotels to be cheap, R$ 150 for a great apartment/suite and R$ 40 for cheap but sufficient stuff (my educated guesses).

Sorry no beach and fairly cool in the winter, now is the time to go.

I also plan to take the train to Morretes and Paranaggua (don't expect girls but it is supposed to be a nice mountain ride)

I had seen her pictures and she does look good, but I decided not to call her during my trip to Curitiba due to her poor reviews in GP Guia.
