I have business in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and "Swamp Rat" gave me the excellent suggestion that I should stay in Bahrain and commute, rather than staying right in Dhahran.

So, I was looking for some advice on Bahrain. You can PM me and I will summarize here.

1) What area/region is best if I plan on commuting across the causeway?

2) What are the best hotels/resorts that are within commuting distance? Price is not an issue.

3) I saw mention of "Gulf Gate" and "Phoenicia" as good hotels for finding girls. Any other suggestions? I prefer Asians to Europeans. Is there any overlap between the set of good girl-hunting hotels and the set of top hotels/resorts? If I could stay in a top-quality place that is ALSO great for girls, all the better.

4) If I decide to try to bring my GF instead of mongering the whole time, what is the visa situation for her? She is Filipina, and of course she won't try to enter S.A.

Someone put in a report here on the Gulf Hotel recently, check it out. Note, the Gulf Hotel is NOT the Gulf Gate Hotel, but a 5-star establishment. There are no pros residing in the hotel that come knocking on your door, but a lot do seem to come to the Sherlock Holmes bar to look for business and according to reports many are Thais. I havent been to this bar in a while so I cant vouch for that.

Hotels with Asians are usually the lower standard hotels. Some places that have Thais are the Bustan Hotel, the Claridge Hotel and the Bahrain Intl hotel. The Phoenicia has no Asians.

Gulf Hotel:

Gentlemen,

I stayed in the Gulf Hotel (5 Star) last year and saw only three working ladies out on the patio (picnic tables, BBQ bar and projection TV with the football matches) over the course of a week.

The security types were pretty vigilant about them coming inside Sherlock´s. There were zero providers staying in the hotel and no late night knocks on the door (except the pesky Filipino guy who constantly wants to check the minibar.)

These girls were surrounded (if not hounded) by a flock of young Saudis. All three were Chinese (could have been Thai I suppose, but looked Chinese to me.) YMMV, my info is eight months old.

A report by Eveready a few posts down (on 08-18-04) mentions recent happenings at the Gulf Hotel.

It seems this place may have its ups and downs. The bar is attached to the patio area Sporadic talked about. It was really buzzing in 2002 when it was loaded with working gals (many Chinese), but seemed to have petered off since then.

Around mid-2002, they had a crackdown that targetted the Chinese gals. They were in huge numbers then and were walking around the downtown areas and all over the place soliciting customers. I guess that was a bit too much for the authorities to take.

I'm a newbie on this site (been lurking for a while). Having lived in Bahrain all my life I thought I should help others out.

Loads & loads of hotels for the purpose of this board. Phoenecia, Phoenecia Tower, Panorama, Gulf Gate, Delmon. Apart from these hotels most of the furnished apartment buildings like Gulf suites,etc. also will do for a monger.

The modus is simple, before checking-in to the hotel ask them to show you the room. Usually you will be accompanied by a bell boy(normally from the Indian subcontinent). Once in the room simply ask him if there are working girls in the hotel. Most of the time he'll write down their room numbers on the back of tissue box. Usually I tip him 1 or 2 BD.

If he says there are no women simply walk out of that hotel & go to the next one.

I discovered that citizens of most countries (including the US) can apply for visas online before arriving by using the official Bahrain e-visa site at http://www.evisa.gov.bh/index.html.

The PMS I have gotten back indicate that the top hotels (Gulf Hotel, Ritz-Carlton, etc.) do NOT have working girls onsite. So, I need to decide if I stay in a lower-quality hotel or just take excursions. Since I prefer Asian girls, I was thinking of the Gulf Gate Hotel. Can anyone who has actually stayed there tell me of how nice it is for a 2-week stay? I will have business in Dhahran every weekday, and need reliable internet access in my room.

Where's all the reports on whats happening in Bahrain???

I met this Thai girl at the Sea Shell Hotel in the lounge in June. The rate was 30 dinars which included a superb BBBJ and sex in various positions. A relaxed no rush session. I had to get a room there for 15 dinars. Nice girl - very much a GFE.

Took a customer out the other night for a couple of drinks after dinner.

First stop Panorama Hotel, Juffair went to the Joker Disco to have a look at the talent. They charge entrance per table(seats four) starting from BD 30 going all the way upto BD 70 [Absolute rip off if you ask me, it did not even include a cover on drinks, but then my company was paying ;) ]. Anyway back to the topic we got ourselves seated by around 11:30 looked around & there must have been atleast 35-40 women of various nationalities(mostly russian & morocan). Most of them 7's & 8's but saw a couple of higher 9's as well. The catch is that all the women in the disco live at the hotel & are compulsory in the disco from 11:00 to 2:00. Basically these girls are used as bait so that you check into the hotel.

By 12:30 & a few vodka's later we did not feel like waiting till 2 AM so walked out of Panorama & got to Sea Shell, Adliya. Went up to the disco (i think it is called slip disc). The place has around 15 TG's (Thai Girls) ranging from 3 - 7. After looking around for about 30 minutes pulled a cute TG. She's around 5'4" with a nice rack(possibly a C cup) sorry can't remember her name. Total damage BD 35 (15 for room & 20 for TG). Nice session but nothing to go on & on about.

What's the new on Bahrain during Ramadan? Is there any change to the activity in the hotels? Are the ladies still working? Are the bars still open?

I know in Dubai things go on as normal, just no live music in the clubs, but wasn't sure about Bahrain. As you may have guessed, I need to be in Bahrain during Ramadan and want to be sure of mongering rights:)

Followed up my last weeks visit to the Panorama disco by checking into the Panoram Hotel yesterday(9 oct). Checked in early evening(around 4 PM). Room prices are a bit steep - BD 48/-(all inclusive). Decent room with Orbit channels in every room.

To my dissapointment a number of girls who I had seen last week in the disco had already left(Ramadan coming soon). There were only around 15 or so left. A mix of nationalities - Russian, Morrocan, Iraqi, Syrian & 1 Lebanese.

I apologize for the repeated requests. I will be in Bahrain from October 21 to 23, staying at the Phoenicia Hotel.

I realize that the bars and nightlclubs will be closed for Ramadan, but will the girls still be resident and active in the hotel?

If not, I would appreciate some advice how to find some action otherwise. Please post or PM to me.
