Possible crack-down at Tanjung Balai & Tanjung Kundur?
i'm not 100% sure where i should put this post, so this thread seems to be the most logical location.
on the front page of today's sunday times newspaper from singapore, there is a teaser sidebar up top, "go to page 8 to learn where singapore's paedophiles go." on page 8, there's a lengthy article informing the reader that singapore paedophiles go to tanjung balai in karimun and tanjung batu in kundur, both a short ferry ride from singapore to the riau islands. the article names specific locations where under-age girls can be found, gives prices, and claims that around 50% of the girls working in these places are under-aged.
there's also a sidebar with photo about a 15-year-old girl from medan, indonesia who was tricked into coming to tanjung balai and forced to work as a prostitute for a couple of weeks before she was rescued.
now, the average isg monger (such as me) of course has no interest in dealing with **** girls; there's more than enough legal choices here in indonesia to keep me busy for the next 40 years.
the reason why i am posting this is that the article is embarassing to indonesia's image and makes this country look bad. so one logical consequence is that the government here will probably raid the towns and places mentioned in the article, so those isg mongers who were planning on going to these places to have sex with the 50% of the girls who are of legal age should be very careful during the next few weeks. might be a good idea to monger elsewhere for the next couple of weeks.
My first trip to Karimun-including newbie pitfalls
howdy do, craigr here with his first newbie pitfall. i planned my first trip through justfares and had planned my transfer to international flight thru lax. you should plan at least 2 hours for that transfer, as the designer laid it out so that you would have to change terminals, go through security again, go through hassles with boarding passes again. long story short, missed my flight and had to wait an extra 24 hours. whee.
so, the flight to narita was uneventful, but the transfer was not. whatever genius designed lax was probably consulted for narita also, as you have to go up and down stairs, through bus systems and through security again to get on the flight to singapore. remember that the nips were supposed to take over the world back in the 80's? anyway, i took a window seat, as it is better to sleep leaning against something.
the arrival at midnight was uneventful, but the disadvantage to it was that the subway stops running by then. at information (english speaking and wonderfully well run) they said that ferries to tanjung balai run from 750am to 220pm and cost rt sing$33. the subway to the harborfront runs at 6am and it takes 1 hour to get from the airport to the harbour.
singapore swing! here's a trick i ran into by accident. when heading out from singapore after the tb vacation, i had to get up at 4am for my 7am flight. so after stumbling down to the lobby of the strand hotel at 4. 15am, i was nearly swept away by a tidal wave of hot, beautiful p4p girls! i kid you not! in the 15 minute wait before the cab came, there had to be at least 20 hot broads going through the lobby of the hotel, having struck out that night at orchard rd. and other venues. what do you want to bet that these babes will do an all nighter for a greatly reduced rate? one was slightly tipsy, and had a boob pop out of her neckline. nicely sized and shaped, too! whoopee! the reason i am still kicking myself is that i could have taken a cab from the airport to the strand hotel (close to the sin lin electronics mart) shaved, showered, and taken a nap, and gone down to the lobby at 4am to get my choice of a hot babe, gotten in the saddle, gotten a little more sleep, and then caught the tb ferry in plenty of time. oh well, fellows, profit from my errors.
back to tanjung balai. i got on the ferry at 720am which was promptly late, true to form. not a bad trip, but bring beer, as it will make you popular with the boys up topside, which is the best place to be on the ferry. landed after about a 90 minute trip, went onto the dock and receiving area and boy, did this white boy stand out. i got a few stares. 'allo, 'allo, sir! yes, hello, i replied. i looked around for the hotel maximillian driver and did not see him (not having figured out that you have to reserve ahead of time, dumb, dumb) and was immediately corralled and roped in by a taxi driver. we finally reached nirvana, hotel maximillian! got settled in and decided it was time to start the fun with a massage parlor run. sawa deeka i think was the place.
now this is an odd part. you sort of get the idea that a sex massage is available in these places, but somehow i couldn't convey the message to the girl that sex was on my menu. oh well, it was a nice massage.
more oddity. so after the massage parlor strikeout, i decided to try the discos. bravo was small, noisy, and stank, so i went to santana, which was large, noisy and stank, but i did manage to connect with a girl at the latter. she was somewhat pudgy, but had clear skin, a nice face, and even nicer bumpy bits. took her back to the hotel maxi, and we hopped in the shower together. a shower with a nice girl is a favorite, all soapy and cuddly and kissy, and it helps in revving both of us up for the fun ahead. (one hopes) well, we get out of the shower and she puts her clothes back on and goes back to the disco.
after $1k to fly to this end of the world, i won't sleep alone. so i go to the villa and pick up 2 girls for r250k apiece, and came back for a night of fun.
the next day i meet the magnificent manager of the hotel maxi, roni susanto! a wonderful fellow, well worth knowing and quite informative, who tells me that i was actually quite fortunate last night as the police were raiding the discos. hmmm. roni susanto must have excellent connections to be able to find out that bit.
some things to avoid in tb: i brought a bike with me to do a little cycling. i saw the traffic and lack of shoulders on the pavement and said 'no. '
another thing to avoid: i took a day trip to paya labu, or 'city of joy'- short opinion- it wasn't - long opinion-the place actually opens after 7pm evidently, and that is too late-the drivers are reluctant to go to paya labia after dark as bandits infest the roads out of town. i went during the daylight hours and it was depressing.
on, then, to the villa, and finding another thing to avoid. i went in at 5pm and started looking. i have had a lifelong habit of always clipping a cheap, lightweight ballpoint pen to the neck of my t-shirt, which served me well at villa, which is a large sort of city square laid out with establishments on each side. well, wouldn't you know, the first place into which i go has 2 hot ladies available. the first is quite demonstrative, saying " hi" and rubbing her body against mine. the second hot lady was back in a corner, and sort of shy, so i go with miss shy. hot sex, great boobs, and the next morning i found the sheets stained with menstrual blood. the moral of this story is: if she acts reluctant, there is probably a reason.
so- i went back and got number 1, who was so great she became my main lady for the rest of my stay. she had a cute, buggy, pug-nose type of polynesian type face, slim little 5 foot body, d-cup boobs, great legs and ass, and sex skills like you wouldn't believe! ohhhh boy! worth the whole trip! centerfold material for r250k! so there you are!
should you need more info, i am willing to trade for some info about colombia, because i am getting sick of 13 hour flights. or maybe i'll just give you the information for free, what the heck!
East Timor - not dead, but close to it!
I can't find any place in the ISG specifically for East Timor, so I will post my comments here.
I was recently in Dili for two nights - shortly after the April riots, and the place was pretty quiet. The first night I was working quite late, so I didn't get a chance to check out the night life. On the second (and last) night I took a taxi into the "city". I tried to get the taxi driver to take me to some place where I could find a bit of action - he didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about (and I do not speak the local language), so I ended up getting out the taxt and just walking around. I tried to talk to a number of people who were in the city to find the sort of place I was looking for - massage parlour, brothel, and places like that. Very few of them spoke much english and they weren't any help at all.
I eventually stumbled into a place called the "Football Bar" - it's located very close to the ANZ bank in the main business area of Dili. When I entered the bar there were only three other people, all girls, inside (other than the bar staff). They seemed happy to see me and we started to talk, a little. Their english was very limited. They said they were from Indonesia, somewhere near Jakarta. One of them didn't speak any english at all and looked very chinese to me. Anyway, there were no pool tables and very little to do other than drink, listen to the music, watch cable tv that was being projected onto the wall and/or try to make small talk with the chicks. After a while some more girls arrived. They were very happy to see a guy sitting at the bar, but other than a brief hello, a few kisses on the cheek and a little bit of "innocent" flirting, they moved to other parts of the bar and occupied themselves with their mobile phones. I would rate almost all of the girls in the bar as 8+ in their looks.
A few other guys came in from time to time, some of them were obviously very well know to the girls because the girls made a big fuss over them and nearly all of the guys seemed to be able to communicate to the girls in a language other than english.
I made a few attempts to talk to the girls about whether they would like to come back to my hotel with me or go somewhere else for a good time - they didn't seem to understand me or, if they did, they didn't respond to my suggestions and they usually ended up moving to another part of the bar. After about 2 hours of this I decided it was time to go. On the way out one of the girls who spent a lot of time with most of the other guys in the bar rushed over to me before I could get out the door. She asked me in reasonably good english if I wanted a girl for the night. Naturally I said yes. She pointed to the girl who sat near my table for most of the night and she asked if I wanted her. Again I said yes. She said it would cost US$80 for short time and US$120 for long time. I protested that the price was too expensive and I wouldn't pay that sort of money. I kept it friendly and made it clear that I was willing to negotiate. She asked if I was going to come back tomorrow night. I said that I probably would. Then she said "see you tommorrow" and walked away. None of the other girls made any attempt to approach me, so I left.
It only cost me US$15 for about 4 beers, a pack of cigarettes and a soft drink for one of the girls (she didn't want anything stronger - weird huh?).
I think the girl who approached me must have been the "mammason" or something like that. The whole time I was there I never saw any of the girls leave with a guy. I noticed from time to time that some of the girls dissappeared, but I didn't see them leave and I certainly didn't see them leave with a guy. And I didn't notice any of the guys dissappearing into any other doorways or other rooms (I didn't notice any other rooms, but the light was pretty low inside the bar).
Now I was faced with another problem - I was in the middle of Dili, about 8 or 9 kilometers from my hotel, it was about 11:30 pm and (with all the problems they've had here recently) no taxis were running at that time of night. So I had to walk back to the hotel. It was not the most pleasant experience, but I felt relatively safe.
As a mongering venue I would have to say that the place is not all that promising. I think the scene has been spoilt by the overpaid UN and Aussies that are based there or moving through the place. It seems that the only place I could find any action was at a joint where the prices are quite high (by my standards) because they know the clients will pay it. There was no attempt at negotiation and no dissapointment when I didn't accept the offer.
