A few foreigner friendly bars within walking distance of each other where a punter can mix meeting buddies, a few beers and some fair priced tail?

It seems like the only options left are the 5 star bars, brothels scattered around the city and direct call Apps. These have their place but they don't offer the social night out option and moving between them brings Jakarta's horrendous traffic into play.

The popular place for expats now seems to be Eastern Promise. But that's just one bar and it's only a good option on Friday and Saturday nights. D's place is still there at blok M, and it's still a decent option, but it's very likely going to have a decline in business since Top Gun is closed now. I like to go to D's place late at night. When that Octagon karaoke place next door to it closes, some girls from that karaoke come into D's place and they are not bad looking. If there is nothing at D's, I will go to My Bar after 2 am. Unfortunately, My Bar is almost a lost cause these days, it rarely has any talent anymore and doesn't even get started until 2 am. There are no areas for foreigners like the old blok M of the past with multiple bars with naughty girls in a small area.

On a side note, I picked up a true stunner in Top Gun just a few weeks ago. One of the best girls I've ever met in Jakarta. She claimed it was her first night visiting the Blok. I walked in the door and she was seated there at the bar right near the door. It took me all of 2 seconds to go approach her and all of 2 minutes to ask her to go home with me. haha. After that night, I was so impressed, I had her stay with me an entire week. So it is still possible to find a gem on the Blok (just not in Top Gun anymore).

However it truely sucks that the Institutions of Jakarta are passing away. I don't want to jump on the "Good Ol Days" band wagon but it wasn't that long ago that it seemed impossible that the 6th Floor, Top Gun etc could close. Places like these offered a great night where guys could meet up for beers, have a meal, visit multiple bars and then grab some tail if required. Costs were so low that having a posse of followers was a routine event. They also offered the anonymity of turning up and simply making a selection without random photos and email / Facebook links being posted on some pretty incriminating web sites.

Internet bookings and stand alone locations are great but they don't offer the party atmosphere that these places did and convert everything to a wham bam transactional event.

Reading the forum for travel help. I will be visiting Jakarta from 9-12 Dec. Will be staying at Harris vertue harmoni. Just read reports. Thanks Smoothy for it. About me 30 Indian male. Have downloaded tinder. Working on it. And getting connected to few girls. What is the best time to visit Maliboro? Also how far would Harris vertue harmony take from airport on Sunday night around 10. They had stopped having a band every night and only had it a couple of nights a week. And if you wanted to order something like a diet coke or a corona, they no longer carried anything like that. Only the simplest items. They had scaled down operations to the point where it was a shell of it's former self. Obviously they talk about us more than I thought.

An extra meal in a fancy restaurant, but then I get some good looking, fun company. So please download that App. Its works on fixed fare basis.
