Lush is another Indian dance venue where one pays to watch women dance to Indian tunes. This is located down Duplication Road in Colombo 4.

Entrance only is a hefty 1k.

Upon entry, there is a seating area which overlooks a small dance floor. To the left you get the bar an wash rooms. The ambience of the venue was the only thing I liked.

The dancers seem to be Indian but I had trouble with a few who looked as if they were Chinese or Thai. Their clothes were okay but not soooo revealing which is needed for this kind of venue. Also the lasses are a lot older and a few lacked the graceful moves one sees on Bollywood hits. This venue is part of the Sun Hill chain. Again, does not seem to be a sex venue but they can surely hire a few more girls who are better looking an far more graceful than the current team IMHO.

Anyway, if you like to watch women dance on stage close up, this is a good venue. I personally think that the venue is too expensive and the experience not so memorable. The other patrons seemed to be very happy with the place so it may just be that my expectations are too high.

I was thrilled to see this. They will soon realise that they will need this to attract tourists if they are to achieve the target numbers and yield per tourist.
