Chapter 7:
After an incredible time with Ibel, I was now dressed and completely packed. I head down and have breakfast. Vic and CKRT stagger in a few mins later and we chat while I wait for my breakfast. Ibel more than delivered from what Deep told me, as she turned the self proclaimed 'Chocolate Jack Hammer' to nothing more than a Jello pudding pop that would have made Bill Cosby blush. Deep now had a new #1 seed as Ibel outperformed his favorite Angelina. Deep had the look of a satisfied customer. As he was going on about how great Ibel was, our driver friend Tony had arrived. I go and load my bags in the van and Deep went up to get his things. I said my goodbyes to Ibel and Helen with hugs and kisses. Deep makes his way down and there is a slight problem as he goes to check out, he lost his room key. Deep is the self proclaimed 'King of the lost keys' (I'll let him chime in on that) so he searched and searched and ultimately failed to find his key. Deep was worried he would have to pay for the lost key, but in the end he did not have to pay. Tony loaded Deep's bags in the van, we hop inside and slowly pull off as we bid adieu to NG and Sosua.
*This was without a doubt my best trip. Although it was during Semana Santa I had a great time and met a lot of great people (Tom Jackin, DJ P, SB, CKRT, Vic, ISG member Wreckless and others). My only regret is that I forgot my digital camera for the first time, as I generally take tons of pictures on my trips. I know Sosua is not held in high regard by many and that's okay, everyone has different tastes, and I am sure there are better places out there but I still enjoy for Sosua for what it is despite its faults / warts. I will return to Sosua, but I will probably go somewhere else (perhaps Colombia) before I return. I hope everyone enjoyed the reports.

I agree with your feeling to do something else in between because I'm going to Spain for two weeks. I thought of the money and time that could probably do 3 DR trips, but I want to see more. The DR. Specifically Sosua will always hold a special place in my heart and regular visits, but I want to venture out more. After my August Sosua trip, I think I'm going to give Columbia a try-out as well.
