Perhaps their families and associates should contact the embassies of US, UK, France, Australia, Singapore ect for possible assistance.

Like so many countries Thailand has families that move to the Western model while many families still adhere to the old model. That will give friction. The answers are difficult and a clear cut answer is not available. To make things clearer on the medic part, I will give the rationale for many children. Not just a workforce on the farm but also necessary for your pension. So you need at least two children because half of the children die. You need double that amount because half will be women and move to the other family (or vice versa). You need double that amount because only half of them will manage to get a job. So to have one child paying for your pension you need 8 children. Or better you needed 8 children. Because not half of the children dies any longer anymore. You don't need to double if the country is not grappling with subsistence. You don't need to double if the wife can work and doesn't need to raise so many children. So, of course a doctor will advise condoms and try to bring the number of children down. And he is right about that. The problem however is the transition to another culture in two ways. First within the families: the daughter is not going to help her family anymore in such a demanding way. For example Romanian and Bulgarian girls turn back to their countries way before they reach the age of 30. Polish and Hungarians already are hard to find. The second is within the country or even county. One family still follows the old model. Another follows the more individual model. In Europe for example this is true for immigrants especially from Morocco. Somehow the government of Thailand will have to step in with care for the old aged etcetera and move to a more individual model with a strong state. That will diminish the possibilities for mongering. But that is still a long way to go. Cheap mongering is already from the menu.
