We all know at this point there is a ton of BS. 800 dollars LOL! But my question is for all the groups of Police Officers and Fireman that go to the DR from the big city. Does this make you think at all? Would it be a story if as a group you had a problem? How would the Depts handle it if the media jumped all over it! And man if they started looking into it, well with every other person I meet down there being a police officer or fireman, yikes! I do think it would be hard to investigate even if there was one problem but if it was some how it could definitely be portrayed as a dept wide problem and I sure wouldnt want to be the face of it.

Our food finally arrived (I ordered a small pizza which was enough for one person and it was excellent). While eating I spot our driver / friend Tony and his son. We asked him if he could take Tom Jackin to the airport as his flight was departing in a few hours and Tony said no problem. We finish our meal at PDC and said our goodbyes to Tom Jackin who had to go check-out of NG. Deep and I headed up the street to the Mercado to buy some snacks and stuff.

We head back to NG and my Santiago cutie Helen is there waiting for me. I motion her over to me and we head up my room. Well, I was planning on writing a report earlier, but ended up without internet for a few weeks. Just got it hooked up a few days ago. I work in remote native reserves in northern Canada and just ended up getting transferred to a new one. It always seems to take a few weeks to get things set up up here.

Checked in to the Sosua Bay hotel and headed to the beach in search of some more beer and first impressions. It has been a few years since I've been to Sosua and the last time I was there on a catamaran trip with my girlfriend at the time, so obviously no mongering then. Sat down at one of the beach bars and had a few more beers to fend off the overdue hangover, watching the world go by. Was around 2 or 3 pm. When I started to feel a bit more human decided to go back to my hotel for a nap. Made it almost to the back entrance (I was put in the single guys wing) when I got sidetracked by a chica in one of the little bazaars / manicure / bars on the street.
