Went to Shock 39 Disco on Sat night as beneath Ambassador closed for elections in Wattana district.

Can't say I was impressed at all.

Very packed out. Air con not coping at all as was very smoky. Eyes stinging and hard to breath and then there was the BO of a motley crew of patrons. A few nice looking Thai girls gyrating and doing there stuff and trying hard not to get groped by the ugly foreigners with no manners.

The DJ was a cool dude (black man) but a total idiot in my veiw, the way he tried to mix multiple songs together hearing no more than 30 seconds of any decent song with a musical nature. A lot of Hip Hop thump. There a couple of snippets from Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga but very brief.

Of course I am from the wrong generation.

All the groups of spasso, q bar, supper free lancers were there. They had no other place to go. I did finally see some solid talent. Lot guys there so it was tough to get to talk to the hot ones. I wonder how that place would be when everything else is closed? Are there free lancers in there all the time? You don't read about the place here on ISG so maybe its just a regular bar.

Drinks as price list (Beer around 100 Baht and lady drinks around 110 Baht.) and NO cover charge.

I think that the name may be Queen's Castle I.

Most of the other 'upstairs naughty bars' in Patpong area are either a complete rip off with final bills of over 1000 Baht not unknown or semi rip off with charges of 300 Baht for a beer!
