Where you want to be, is the at the airport, leaving. (this not to say one should not have insurace).

Neither am I, fortunately, but I've read enough reports from fellow foreigners who were properly insured, had a Thai drivers license, and whose insurance company took care of business.

The bail-bond coverage is especially important when you're a foreigner I suspect, as presumably the police has had enough experience with people of the ilk you describe, making a run for the nearest border rather than paying up when they were in the wrong. Subsequently there's probably a higher risk of the police locking you up until trial, unless somebody, e.g your insurance company, can bail you out.

One guy injustly accused of stealing forniture, got stuck in Thailand for 4 years. He was lucky that at the very end the case against him was dismissed. Sorry, but if anything happens to me, I will leave principles aside for my freedom. If and when Thailand will gain a better justice track record, I may review my stance on the matter.

What is the best month (or months) to visit Pattaya?

I don't want to visit in a slow month, or catch bad weather.

None of them! They all suck. Avoid like the plague. Trust me, Pattaya would be better off with zero bar beers and zero gogos.

Often find my gals is while eating the 40 baht 1/2 (or is it 1/4 chicken, breast and leg). It's my dinner, and I grab one or two or them. Protein. As gals walk by, just grab them."Hey, you want some food? I love you." Am often at chicken places off Walking Street, one near Secrets, another near Soi BJ. Heck, they're everywhere. Just make certain they do not put any salt / pepper on it.

Today grabbed some Storect. It's like Vit C, except natural. Uncertain if it works, but think it does. Three days ago had this gal visiting from BKK. She reminded me exactly of Becky, this gal who I was madly in love with as a freshman in college. She also socially awkward, but strangely sexy. They looked identical. The fact that the case against him was dismissed in the end, tells me that it is not all that bad with justice in Thailand.
