General Info

I was vid-calling Mrs G at a time when I was alone and the room was free of incriminating evidence. All was going well. I was sitting on the bed chatting away. Then suddenly the girly I had invited up later came thru the door, much earlier than expected, talking in a full voice on speaker phone. Next to her was her girlfriend doing the same thing. The ruckus would have been clearly audible by my phone's mic.

Needless to say, I shit myself and tried to get them to be quiet and disappear. Obviously this is impossible while in the middle of a video call. At some point I've had my arms flapping around, getting them to shut up and generally get out of the room (which the girls instinctively did) and accidentally rotated the camera to the front screen. This gave Mrs G a full view of my panicked face, the girls walking through the door unhindered, my arms flapping around and then them making a hasty retreat. These girls clearly were not old haggards, there to clean the room.

To say Mrs G was unimpressed and demanding an explanation is an understatement. Obviously, there is no explanation for two hot chicks to be walking straight through the door into her husband's room at 8 pm. All I could do was play stupid and repeatedly say that there is no one in the room and I don't know what she saw or is talking about. There is no way I'm going to get away with this totally unscathed and the return home is going to be eventful.

My biggest fuck up was not keeping the front door locked. The one thing that I didn't realise was that the AirBnB that I was staying at has residential (not commercial hotel) door latch sets. This means that they must be manually locked everytime rather than automatically locking whenever the door closes (as hotel doors do).

Moral of the story: always check your door and know whether it locks automatically or manually.

On what you've given, I'd take the high moral ground and leave where you are staying. (even book a shtt hole nearby and commute between them). I'm the same. I don't know when my mongering life is going to end by being sprung and people back here at home discover the double life I've been leading for 30 years. I reckon it's only a matter of time.

The only way you can get out of this is to say that people keep walking in and out AirBnBs as the whole floor is rented out and all entrance doors look the same. Those two totally hot chicas must have walked in by accident, which is quite possible.

You had your door open letting some air flow through and some drunk chicks were out in the hall making all kind of noise and wandered into your place.

We all like to think we would act calmly under pressure but it was something I was totally unprepared for and just wanted them out ASAP. Accidentally flipping that fucking camera certainly didn't help.

Rather than make elaborate excuses, I kept to my story that there were no girls in the room and I don't know what she saw because I can't see her phone screen. I'm not going to vary from that story. Mrs G seems to have calmed down, even saying I should go to security and complain about girls being able to walk into my room but I have no doubt this will not be forgotten.

I doubt they will, but if things do go heavily sideways I'm already lawyered up. We went through a mild rough patch years ago (for unrelated reasons) and I sought legal advice then from the best guys in town. Where I'm from, conflict of interest rules mean that they can now only ever act for me and cannot ever advise or act for Mrs G. Something to remember for any guys that may be nervous about anything: be the first one onto the best lawyers' office. Not the second.

Rumours of my death are greatly exaggerated. If I'm going down it's not going to be for girls just walking into my room. The offending girl is in the bed beside me now and found the best ways to apologize for causing the fiasco. 😁 I'll be a lot more careful moving forward but life goes on.

I don't like surprises so they were used in a "what if" advisor capacity for contingency planning. The good thing is that should the worst happen (which I don't expect), being proactive many years ago means that the best lawyers in town are locked up for my benefit for life. That's reassuring.

After G Man's brush with death, I went on Amazon to see if there were professional guides on how to get away with cheating. I found one interesting book and here's just the intro. The book looks like it could have been written by Mr. E. LOL.
