Cartagena Reports

I've looked through hundreds over the last 4 years, almost every host spells out the policy, but I only stay with superhosts or well reviewed hosts. If the policy is not in the house rules then you have a right to a refund..... The other thing is I always ask a visitors are permitted.

Nothing in the rules about no visitors and 4 guests allowed. Booked it fully refundable, and then started asking questions about visitor and guest policies. At first I got back vague answers so I had to drill down on them as to specifics, hours allowed, when guests have to be registered ect. After several questions finally have it all spelled out in messages in case they switch things up on me. Visitors allowed till 8 and I can register 3 more guests after I check in. Its a 1 bedroom. For a week that will work for me because I have stayed in that building before and like it. Oceanfront modern condos for cheap.

So does yours translate to you are allowed to bring in visitors up to 8 pm and they can stay the night or your visitors must leave at 8 pm as in you cannot have overnight visitors?

I've been reading your excellent reports and must confess I can't handle that much pussy at my age so I will be fine with just the 3 guests and daytime visitors for 1 week. Most of the time I end up doing multiple repeat sessions with just a few chicas on my trips anyway.

Biggest cab drivers in Cartagena are notorious for trying to upcharge -- just read through the last few pages that post to figure that one out? In other words they're not the most dependable sources of anything for a tourist.

I am making my first trip to Cartagena. I prefer to stay at Hilton. Probably they do not allow overnight guests unless me and the girl check in together. Some time ago someone posted names of couple of people who speaks English and can arrange a nice girl to stay with me at least for a couple of days for a fee. I looked at several pages back and could not find.

If anyone who knows these people and can pm me I will appreciate it. I know there are some who rent apartments but I prefer to stay at upscale hotels. Since it is first trip would like to take in the sights as well.

The Hilton is at the end of Bocagrande beach, and I have not stayed there, but I have stayed at other luxury hotels: the Dann Cartagena, the Hyatt, and Ermita which is a Marriott hotel, and the rooms were all pretty much the same. The Hilton, Dann, and Hyatt are all on the beach and the Ermita is not so my question to you is this, which is more important to you: being by the beach or being able to bring in women.

Thing is that guys here have said they have brought women in and out of the Ermita without any issues. From what I remember, I think you could skirt the registration desk and get to your room but my memory could be wrong. Anyway, it is the only place I have read or heard of where you are going to get a luxury hotel room and have women come and go without issue.

If you are going for the beach / ocean life, stay at the Hilton. But if you are going for women, I would cancel and get the Ermita.

No photocopies. Especially the Venezuelans, make sure they have real ID's or they might not be allowed entry! Luvchicas.

Thanks again.[/QUOTE]The Hilton does not allow you to bring visitors to your room unless, as you say, they were registered as a guest when you check in. One thing is that if you do not have a chica lined up before you get there then just register for a day until you get one lined up then make another registration with the chica on it. You did not say when exactly you are going but I might suggest that the closer it gets to Christmas the harder all this is going to be to do. The Colombians flock to Cartagena for the Christmas holidays and chicas tend to gravitated toward the families and work less around the holidays.

Cabbies are greedy in any country.

For guys new to any location having only a few days, cabbies are very good resources to find gives. The definitely know where houses are. They have taken me to many excellent local hot spots, advise and watch over me while I indulged.

It's just good business both ways. It make good sense to pay them a little extra to get what you want quickly and cheaply.

Are we still required to be tested before entering Colombia? I'm fully vaxxed, so that's not a problem, but arranging testing is a huge hassle.
