cheers[/quote]in addition to what you have said, i think the ambiance and hygiene level of the spa is also important. if any spa is charging a counter charge of say 1. 5k, the least once should expect is clean and hygienic environment. most of the spas where extras are freely available like ragini spa, spa near sapna cinema, dwarka spa, all charge a good amount for the massage but the level of cleanliness and hygiene is utterly poor with shabby & untidy rooms, dirty linen and towels, water logged shower chambers. it really is a waste to pay such a high amount as counter charges when the quality of service is so poor. the last thing one wants in mongering is getting some kind of infection.

i guess in future, it will be helpful if people can also rate the spa and quality of massage in addition to rating the therapist.

Counter charges are immediately discounted to rs 1500 if you care to ask, and can be further negotiated to 1000 if you can hold your own. The same way that these receptionists try to convince you to take a membership for availing cheaper rates, one should ask them to give special promotional discount for us to be induced enough to try their services, after which we can think of the membership! Not difficult considering there are now more spas in malls than restaurants these days!

There's no point telling newbies, or anybody, for that matter, what to do or what not to do. They won't listen and you would be wasting your time. Best thing is to identify trustworthy folks and restrict sharing contacts with them only. Of late, I have reduced posting FRs and now rely mostly on PMs.
