The guy specifically used Hotel Classic for the value comparison. That indicates he likes Hotel Classic. For those who like the service at Hotel Classic, there is no possible better value for money. I think the service sucks so I don't go there, but I have friends (all of them are Asian) who love it. Personally, I don't look for value for money, I look for a good experience. I consider an expensive girl who provides good service to be better value than a cheaply priced girl who just lays there.

I think this board probably has more complaints about bad service at Hotel Classic than any other (especially by me). But I will admit that you can't easily find young girls and a very nice room for that cheap price.

Alexis was probably the best spa in Jakarta in terms of choice of girls and facility, but since it is now closed, and I already experienced Malioboro, I wanted to try something new.

Based on the reports, Illigals seemed to be worth a visit, so I decided to have a go. When I arrived, the entrance was a bit confusing, as you need to go through an alley that is next to the Starbucks. Once I reached Illigals, I went straight to the 3rd floor for the massage & spa. The entrance fee is 100 k Rupiah, and when I entered, I saw quite an empty bar with tables with few girls sitting around and a pool in the middle. The mamasan approached me asking me what I wanted, and so I asked for for the options. She gave me 2 choices: Regular for 900 k and Special for 1. 3 Mil Rupiah, all locals, no import. Then she immediately pushed me to go for Regular and pointed me to one girl, which I did not really like. I asked for Special and she said all of them are busy. And kept pushing me for this girl. Then I said I wanted to see the line up, which she was reluctant to do, she asked 3 other girls to come, which I also did not like, then she asked everyone to join. The line up was about 8 girls in total, all ranging from 5 to 7. I was quite disappointed that they did not have more than this. The only one smiling at me was the one she initially pointed out to me. So although I did not like her face, her body looked OK and I decided to go for her.

After that, we went straight to the room, she did not even propose to have a session at the swimming pool, like in Alexis. The room was nice, large and well maintained, and the girl immediately put some porn on TV for me to watch. Then we went to shower, and start the session immediately. She did BBBJ me, we did various position, with DFK. Overall, it as an average session. When I finished, and put on my clothes, we went out and I went to pay at the counter.

The bill was totally at 1. 3 Mil Rupiah, and they tried to charge me for a drink which I did not take, so I asked them to take it out: 900 k for the girl + 100 k entrance fee + 100 k tip + taxes. I found the cost quite high for the value that you get: although the facility was nice, there were a limited choice of girl, with average quality, the session was average and mamasan quite pushy, not willing to give me the line up. So I will not repeat with Illigals. I really miss the spa from Alexis! I hope there will be a similar set-up soon in Jakarta.

And have nearly stopped going to MTR bar there because of the number of mosquitoes in the room and getting my feet minced by them while the lady had been attending to parts further up. Dengue fever is still quite common around Jakarta and I don't want it. Then the last skill I have developed there is the dodge the burning cigarette shuffle amongst all the locals dancing away. They do appear to have a good time though.

Although I used to go out frequently, I rarely go out anymore since it's so convenient just meeting girls on Tinder or wechat and having them come to my place. However, I decided to head out last night. I'm a fan of live music, so started the night at Jaya Pub. For those who don't know, Jaya Pub is one of the oldest pubs in Jakarta. I'm not sure, but I think it opened back in the 70's. It's now owned by a couple of older Indonesian "legend artists" (I think they were actors or dangdut singers in the past), and the female owner is almost always seated in the back of the bar. As usual, on the weekend it was packed. Quite a few expats hang out there, but it's not really a pickup spot. It's one of the places in town where you can actually see a white guy there with his white wife, if that tells you anything about the chances of picking up a hooker there. Slim to none. LOL. But if you like live music in a casual pub environment where they play rock, this is a good place to have some beers.

There are a lot of middle class Indos there as well. I find that if I go there alone and just hang out listening to the music, it's easy to find friends for the evening just among the crowd. One time I had an Indo guy trying to fix me up with his daughter. His daughter looked pretty damn good too. But they lost interest when they found out how long I had stayed in Jakarta. Haha.

Anyway, the bands were pretty good, and as usual, the crowd sang along to many songs and tooted horns after pretty much every song (bicycle horns are hanging from the ceiling all over the bar, so you can toot the horns after the songs you like as a form of appreciation. As the night goes on and people get more drunk, the horns are honked more and more.) They change bands every hour. One of the bands there played mostly Queen songs and did a good job with them, then played a really unique version of Hotel California that was fast paced and rockin' rather than it's normal slow pace, which I found pretty cool. I should have made a video of that one. I find it a good time there even though I know I am not going to be picking up any girls.

After a couple of hours at Jaya Pub, I left and headed to Eastern Promise. They also had a live band. It's the same band that used to play Hard Rock Cafe and Liquid Exchange. I think the name of the band is Java Beat. I'd recommend that band to anyone, one of the better bands in Jakarta. It wasn't as hot outside as normal due to rain recently so it was bearable there. The place had a fairly large selection of hookers without a doubt. I almost felt like I was in Top Gun because there were some of the normal Top Gun girls there. I can't say the selection of ladies was as good as you find at CJs or BATS, but it was decent. There was one quite tall girl who was walking out with her friends when I first walked in, and I regret not hitting on her immediately and pulling her back into the bar. Stunner. However, all was not lost as I ended up with a girl I liked. I had not seen her around before so I doubt she was a Top Gun girl. She said she was 20 years old and she lived in Bintaro, but was there with her friends to celebrate her friend's birthday. Her friend with the birthday had a white boyfriend so I am guessing he was footing the bill for the evening. Her friends were not attractive at all, but she was definitely attractive in my opinion. Although her friend spoke English, she didn't speak a word of English. This chick loved to dance. Unfortunately, the way she danced reminded me of the puppet from the old Howdy Doody show for some reason. She didn't look like that puppet, but moved like him. Haha. I can't say that was a turn on, however she was quite cute. Luckily she didn't move like that in bed later.

I left Eastern Promise with the girl and we went to the bar at the top of the Westin hotel for a final drink for the night. I hadn't been there in months and it looked like it was a clear night so we could have a good view of Jakarta from the 67th floor bar. Unfortunately, going there was a mistake (or at least ordering the drinks I did was a mistake). The view was excellent, but just one drink for the both of us was 450 k. What a rip off. Next time I will stick with beer. After that I took her home and had her put on a skimpy school girl skirt and some black nylons. She was good fun, good in bed, and it was a nice end to the night. I still prefer Tinder and wechat delivery, but it was a good change of pace.

Once I picked it up in Gili T, ages ago, it was ugly. Very.

Maybe two good things to know about dengue:

1. Mozzies that transmit it, bite during the daytime and especially like the times around dusk and dawn.

2. Dengue is location bound. Don't know if health care / councils are tracking locations in Jakarta?

But last week I was in South Lombok and canceled plans to go Sekotong as it is going around there now.

" and "It is entirely your decision but I prefer to keep KI as discreet as possible on this forum. . . " While his pm to me from which I only reproduced a small portion makes it clear why he posted his largely negative review here, I felt him doing so had the collateral effect of making my recommendation look foolish. I therefore asked him to remove his post, but I haven't heard back from him. So in light of this I think this clarification is appropriate. I, however, would have no objection if Jackson removes both OS's post as well as my present response to it.

A number of Top Gun girls have moved to EP, but I also picked up a few MILF's there (and was actually picked up by one last Tuesday). I haven't been to Blok M. I planned on going to BATS, but unfortunately was sick for three days, which kind of ruined my schedule a bit. It's handy to have a little list of phone numbers of girls ready, willing and able to come to your room, taking a friend if you want it.

Both of you are right. Kota Indah is indeed a place with seedy and smoky brothel bars down a dark alley with cold showers, smell of wee and cockroaches. That said, the place is still worth checking out for those not too squeamish. Prices are roughly the same as in Classic or Travel, there's a fair bit of choice, no door fees, and I think service is slightly better (admittedly, compared to a rather low baseline). My sample might be too small to know for sure. At least mamasans are not nearly as aggressive or annoying as in Classic or Travel (my main gripe about those places apart from service).
