Thanks guys. I am going in February if Philippines does not open up then. Maybe I should book one night first and see how it goes. Ermita looks good as I have good status with Marriott. Do not know if locals care much about it. I can always cancel day before checking in and rebook day before also.

Since it will be first time I would be more of a tourist than mongering. I have had good experiences with Colombians in Costa Rica and Panama. But Cartagena maybe different.

Like everything else personal experiences vary wildly in mongering.

It is best to check Colombia official Embassy site regarding COVID to see what information pertains to you and your origin of travel.

Information changes all the time, what is no test today can be something entirely different tomorrow. Check their info and plan accordingly.

And guys are now saying that you have to prove your vaccinated or get tested so. I am going to research this about the vaccination to see how that's done. But in the mean time I monitor a Blog about the entrance requirements you might want to review the info discussed there.

I believe it's going to be enforced at your departure airport so be prepared. Maybe travel insurance might help if you have to cancel.

We won't know for sure until we hear reports from people traveling to Colombia tomorrow.

Unvaccinated non-resident foreign travelers will not be allowed to enter Colombia.

Here is the exaxct wording.

High on travel is right. Cannot trust any hoes on the road. Always lock up and secure your valuables before letting the girls in the room.

The Venezuelan girl at the clock tower was asking for food and drink in the room. I made the mistake having compassion for the plight of the people in Ven, left her in the room alone for 1 minute, thinking she would not have enough time to go through my clothes, but these thieves are fast. She stole my telephone with all my contacts, travel itineraries and docs, caused me extreme difficulties.

In Medellin within the 30 seconds I was in the toilet to remove her stinky condom, a pretty girl immediately went through my luggage. I caught her red handed; she retreated in fear.

I was on a long trip through a few countries. Lucky I had printed out on paper my ITIN, all flights, hotels confirmations, travel docs ect, otherwise I would have been completely lost and had to cancel the trip.

It's smart and is your right to secure your luggage. You should not trust anyone on the road, especially hookers. You don't have to show hoes courtesies. Keep your guards up or he hoes will make you suffer.

If it's Colombia when you land, then someone might be able to get thru with just a test. We'll see.

I'm really sorry that happened to you I'm glad you learned your lesson without being drugged.

This makes sense because Colombia does not want to deal with the people who might show up with no vaccine. No test etc.

Saying High on Travel is right is somewhat vague as I don't know if I can 100% go by the events of someone who seems like they are under the influence of something 99% of the time. Their recollection of an event can be completely different than someone else who was sober jajaja. I Believe its how the monger moves and conduct themselves. I'm also a little confused, are you saying that a chica stole from you that you met in CTG at the clock tower, then another chica stole from you in Medellin meaning you got taken advantage of twice?

When a new chica tells me she's hungry I just open the Rapi app and toss her my phone and tell her "lo que quieras" and they will come back to me with my phone and ask me if its ok to order what they put in check out basket. I'm waiting for the day when I have this "getting stuff stolen from me" experience so I can come on here and post how untrustworthy these chicas are jajaja.

For every chica that steals from a monger, the equivalent is the monger who wants to pay a chica less than the agreed price because he didn't like the service. Without trust on both sides we have nothing.

Take it as a learning experience. Don't let new chicas into your room without making sure you have a copy of their ID (Google Drive / iClould) where you can verify who they are when something goes wrong.

I suggest to keep this forum as a review of the city activities. The thread Colombia general info should be used to inform folks about travel requirement.

When I went to do bag drop, they wouldn't let me check my bag unless I showed them CheckMIG, then at the gate everyone who didn't check a bag was called up to the gate to verify they all had CheckMIG filled out caused the plane to be delayed because people did not have it filled out. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing for the Vaccine Cards.

But I remember CheckMIG asking if I was vaccinated when I was filling it out, so one would assume if someone chicks that box saying they are not, it should inform them they are not allowed to enter.

It appears this supposed crackdown was mostly talk.
